I love you more than Sprinkles with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone wishing you all a happy Monday.... I hope that you had a great weekend.....it's been a cold and windy one here so that's meant lots of time inside crafting for me.

Its Monday which means I'm here with my DT inspiration card for Last Minute Manda

For today's card I have used one of the cute kitties from the Purrfect Valentine set and I think this set is just Purrfect for any time of the year when you want to send some love. Who could resist this cute kitty after all.

I've resized the image to suit an A6 size card and coloured with my promarkers (see below for colours), before fussy cutting it out.

For my back ground panel I have chosen a sweet digital sentiment from Polkadoodles Coffee, Tea and Cake greetings bundle and printed this on a panel of white card.

Next I have used a confetti stencil to create a fun Sprinkle like design using distress inks and then adhered this ti the card base.

I have adhered my kitty to the card and then added a few coordinating sequins around the design.

Don't forget if you head over to the new Last Minute Manda store use my special discount code Wendy25 to get 25% off your shopping.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Bob the Dog in a boat Special Digi Deal Offer with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone wishing you a lovely Saturday - today I am here to introduce you to Bob the Dog.

Hes a fabulous new Digi Deal that you can find in the Polkadoodles shop, Bob the dog in a boat

I've used the pre-coloured image for this card but the set also includes a black line art digi, 6 coordinating papers and 2 sentiments which I think is a fabulous deal for the current offer.

I don't make many male cards but I  think this one is perfect for little boys and grown up boys too.

I've made a very simple concertina fold card that fits neatly into a 5" x 7" envelope, I wanted it to look like Bob is at see so I've used 1 of the papers from the collection for the card panels.  I have used a wavy border die for the first 2 panels to look like waves and used the sky paper on the back panel for the sky.

To make the card base I've cut a piece of blue card stock to 12" x 6 " and then scored along the long edge at 1", 2", 4", 6", 9" and then folded the card concertina style to give 3 peaks as shown in this photo

Next I've used a circular die to cut out my main image and cut a circular frame of craft foam to fit around the edge of the image.  I have added enamel dots around the foam frame and hand drawn a dotted line around the circle, I was trying to make this resemble the porthole of a boat - just in case its not obvious !

To add dimension to the image of Bob the dog I've printed the image 3 times and then cut out elements to decoupage and added glossy accents to his nose after all a healthy dog has a cold wet nose.

I positioned the circular focal point on the second peal of the card so it looks like the boat is bobbing in the water.

The finishing touches to this card are some sparkly iridescent seashells and stars.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from this lovely new collection by Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Have a Beautiful Day with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a happy Friday .

Today I am sharing the second DT card that I have made for for Pink Gem Designs using a digital stamp from the Magnolias digital stamp set .

Its a fabulous set and includes 23 black Line art images, there are loads of possibilities with this set and for today I have chosen to use one of the flower circle cluster stamps for my card.

I've started by resizing the image to suit a 6" x 6" card and used one of my circle dies to cut an aperture then I have blended ink around the edges of the panel and then splattered this with Lisa Horton Crafts metallic watercolour.

The flower cluster was coloured with my Promarkers (see below for colours) and then fussy cut out leaving no white edge . Normally I like to leave a white border around my images but I wanted something a little different today.

I think that you all know how much I love bold and bright colours so for this card I have chosen some beautiful striped paper  from Polkadoodles from the Love birds Wings of Love collection to add to the bottom of my card panel and then used a circular die to cut out my aperture.

The panel has then been layered onto my base card with a black satin cardstock and I then a sentiment die cut was added.

My magnolias were then adhered flat to the card and a few coordinating sequins scattered around the design.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Bella Bear Morning Coffee Special Digi Deal offer with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone I hope that you are having a lovely week!

Today I'm sharing a card that I've made with a gorgeous download from Polkadoodles called Bella Bear Morning Coffee.

The digital set includes 2 digital stamps, 1 line art and one is pre-coloured, a matching sentiment and 4 coordinating papers and is on a fabulous offer at the moment in the Polkadoodles store.

For this card I started by adding one of the digital papers and the sentiment to the bottom of a card panel before printing out.

Then I have covered the top of the panel with some stencilling using one of the newer Creative Stencils from Polkadoodles called Funky Daisy Smile  stamp and stencil set and distress ink.

Next I've added a panel of one of the patterned papers from the collection and a strip of the jade paper that I've die cut with a border die.

Bella bear has then been mounted on the card towards the bottom and some contrasting sequins added.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from this lovely new collection by Polkadoodles.

A Passion for Markers Blogspot Challenge #678 - Favourite digital stamp

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all !

I'm back today with a new DT Inspiration card for a Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Conie Fong and the are some beautiful images over in the store, you'll be spoilt for choice, so why not take a look and join in the challenge.  Don't forget there will be a prize for the Winner of the challenge - there are more details over on the blog.

The Blog theme chosen by Karen for Team 2 is to use a 'Favourite Digital Stamp' and this is my inspiration for the challenge made using a digital image from Conie Fong called Bella Rose

This sweet image reminds me of an old fashioned cameo so I decided to use a die that I've had in my stash for many many years that cuts a cameo style frame, to sit behind my coloured image and I've turned it into a mirror with a small piece of mirror card behind the aperture.

The digital image is coloured with my Promarkers (see below for colours) and then I've fussy cut out and mounted on my card with low profile foam tape

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Springtime Smiles - Bunny with Flowers with Polkadoodles

Happy Tuesday everyone I hope that you are having a good week so far ! Brr its still a bit chilly here at the moment...but its lovely and sunny and the cold makes us really appreciate the log burner in the lounge.

Although its cold now there are signs of Spring everywhere in the garden and around the area.

It's that time again when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is Spring animals and I chose to use this super sweet Bunny with Flowers for my card today.

I love simple kinetic cards and todays is a really easy one to make but gives loads of space for extra papers and messages.

Its a 6" x 6" flip card and I've incorporated a heart flip panel although you can make flip cards with different shapes and without dies too if you don't have any.

The card folds flat for posting but when you open it the heart panel flips over to reveal a hidden message.

For my flip panel card i have used a piece of cardstock that is 12" x 6" and then scored this along the 12" side at 6".

I have also used a pencil to make a feint pencil line at 3".

On the panel with the pencil line position the die shape , a heart in my case over this, lining up the die centrally over the pencil line.

The card can then be passed through the die cutting machine to partially cut the chosen shape.  I only want the heart shape cut on the left part of my top panel so you can do this easily by lining up the top cutting plate with the part that you want to be cut.

There are loads of excellent video tutorials showing how to do this and how to create different sizes of cards.  This is one I like by Sam Calcott of Mixed Up Craft that is great for explaining how to recreate these simple cards.

Once the card base is ready the fun part is decorating it.  I started by resizing the digital image from the Springtime Smiles - Bunny Rabbit with Bunch of Flowers on my computer to neatly fit my heart shape - its important that the image doesn't overhang the cut part of the heart as this will interfere with the movement of the card as its opened and closed.

As always I coloured my image with Promarkers (colours listed below) and I've then used different coordinating papers from the Lets Hang Out paper bundle to decorate the card.

The sentiments I've used on the outside and inside of the card are from the Gnome for Spring bundle

To finish off the card I've used a flower punch - yes I still have these and use them every now and then ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ, cutting out flowers from one of the papers before shaping them, adding Candi centres and glossy accents to the centres.

I hope that you like my card for today and will come back to see my next project

Bella Bear Morning Coffee - Special Offer with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone happy Thursday I hope that you are having a lovely week! We are off out today on the coast with our friends for a birthday lunch which I'm really looking forward to even though it's not really beach weather at the moment.

Today I'm sharing a card that I've made with a gorgeous download from Polkadoodles called Bella Bear Morning Coffee.

The digital set includes 2 digital stamps, 1 line art and one is pre-coloured, a matching sentiment and 4 coordinating papers and is on a fabulous digi deal offer at the moment in the Polkadoodles store so don't miss out.

I know that not everyone likes to colour and sometimes we all need to make a quick card, so I have made 3 cards using the pre-coloured digital stamp, the papers and the sentiment.

The first is a DL card.  I cut 1" paper strips from the papers included in the set and then die cut these with a wavy stitched border die.

Next I cut a piece of thin white card just smaller than the card blank and adhered the paper strips overlapping each one to create a fancy background.  Only adding a thin line of glue along the square edge of each strip allows them to lift up slightly on the card for texture.

I used my glass mat to line up the strips and make sure they were all straight but you could add them on an angle across the panel for a different look.

I have then added a die cut vellum heart onto the background which has been embossed and added the sentiment strip on an angle across the card.

Bella has been adhered onto the card with foam tape so she stands on the sentiment.

Just a sprinkle of sequins and a quick an easy card is ready to send !

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from this lovely new collection by Polkadoodles.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Hello Sunshine with Last Minute Manda and #Kendrascardchallenge9

Hello everyone wishing you all a happy Monday.... I hope that you all enjoyed the weekend.

I've decided to enter #Kendrascardchallenge9 and I'm a little behind as the challenge started in January but I'm sure I'll catch up and what better way than to combine my first card with with my DT inspiration card for Last Minute Manda

If you would like to know more about the challenge then I would recommend visiting Kendra's YouTube Channel as there are some great tutorials explaining what it's all about and how to join in.

In a nutshell, the challenge is to make 15 cards from January to March using 6 pieces of 6"x6" patterned papers, cutting layouts and a series of card sketches for each card.

This is card Sketch#1 for the challenge and I've used a sweet little chick from the Hoppy Easter set

I got some new Chromatek Watercolour pens at Christmas from Santa and decided to give these a try with a little 'No Line' colouring !....I'm still learning and its a different look for me but I'm pleased so far with the outcome...

These brush tip pens are so different to use than my Promarkers which have a solid bullet or chisel nib but I'm going to keep trying with them.

Don't forget if you head over to the new Last Minute Manda store use my special discount code Wendy25 to get 25% off your shopping.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
