Hello everyone - Happy Saturday to you ....I hope you are all doing ok and are enjoying the weekend.

It's time for a new Release over at Polkadoodles and oh my goodness, this huge new collection called Lily Bug Ladybird is just beautiful and I can see loads of different cards being made from this huge bundle.

The collection includes black line art digital stamps, pre-coloured digital stamps, papers, sentiments toppers, embellishments and  so absolutely something for everyone's style of crafting and for loads of different occasions too!

Don't forget there is a special discount for this new Release and if you are a VIP you will receive an even bigger discount! Look at for your VIP email with your special VIP code.

If you are looking for more inspiration then don't forget to have a look at the Ideas Gallery for this new collection

For my card today I've made a 5" x 7" faux stepper from red cardstock and used one of the dotty papers from the collection to decorate the stepper part of the card.

The focal image is a line art digital stamp called Toadstool Lily Ladybug that I've coloured with my Promarkers (see below for the colours used) I love how she is taking a break on her toadstool.

I've created a cloudy sky background for Lily using distress inks and then used the green gingham paper from the collection to add hills to the bottom of the main panel.  Lily has been adhered to this centre panel using low profile foam tape.

I also added a little ink to the hills for a bit of extra definition.

For extra interest I decided to print out various toadstools, in different sizes - these are also included in this fabulous collection, again colouring in and fussy cutting out before adding them to the bottom of my stepper card.

I've used some Tonic Nuvo Crystal drops to add dimensional spots to my toadstools, I  love being able to have lots of different textures on my more 3D cards.

The sentiment is also from the collection printed onto white card and simply layered onto red cardstock.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from this sweet new Lily Bug Ladybird collection

Mermaid Wishes & Starfish Kisses with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a happy Thursday... I hope that your week is going ok....nearly the Weekend !

I was out for lunch yesterday and had a lovely meal at our local bar, a  great catch up and then a few drinks and tapas later in the evening with friends at the same bar to finish off the day....it's hard work being retired ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

We have some friends coming to visit today so were busy preparing and tidying up which is quite difficult outside at the moment as everywhere is covered in yellow powdery pollen and flowers from the olive trees - its like there is confetti everywhere!

Hopefully this will mean a better crop of olives this year. ๐Ÿคž

Today I am sharing a card that I have made for for Pink Gem Designs using the very sweet Mermaid Octopussy digital stamp set

This fabulous set includes a black Line art image and a pre-coloured version for you to use.

I decided for todays card to create an underwater scene for my sweet mermaid Phoebe and also used digital stamps from the
Mermaid Build a Scene set of digital stamps.  The image and background have been coloured using my promarkers (see below for colours)

The sentiment that I've used has been in my crafty stash for many years and was from a craft magazine but I thought it went well with my design for this one layer card.

I am really enjoying creating these one layer scene cards at the moment and  I think it's really helping me to improve my colouring skills.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Oh No, You Didn't! with Polkadoodles

Happy Wednesday everyone! I hope your week is going well.

We have been really busy this week, well for the past few weeks and too many late nights for me I'm afraid to say but today I'm off out for a ladies lunch at a nearby restaurant (within walking distance).

I've not been for a few months, so it will be nice catching up and fingers crossed the food will be good too - we haven't eaten there yet but we've had drinks and tapas and so far so good.

I'm here today with a fabulous one layer card that I've made with one of the recent digi deals from Polkadoodles called Mod the Cat its such a sweet image and the set includes a black and white image, pre-coloured image, 4 designer digital papers and 2 sentiments so great value for many.

Being slightly kitty crazy house, I can see me using this for loads of different cards. I've coloured todays image to look like our youngest kitty called Foxy - knocking the plants off the plant stand is just the sort of cheeky thing he would do!

For todays 5" x 7" card I teamed the kitty with one of the new Build a scene backgrounds, this one is Room with a view and I've added the round mat onto the image from the Build a Scene - room furniture set.

I have coloured the entire scene with my Promarkers and the to create the wallpaper for the room I've used distress ink and the Funky Vortex Grid stencil - I love this pattern and think it looks like hessian wallpaper I remember from when I was little.

To finish off my card I've printed a sentiment from the Rebel collection onto vellum and added this on the skirting board

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Up, Up and Away with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone wishing you all a happy Monday I hope that you had a lovely weekend.

We're off out for the day today visiting a beautiful city of Antequera.  We went a few years ago with our friend but have decided to go again to see a little bit more of the area.

There is a geological site called El Torcal de Antequera which we are going to visit today - its an area of naturally eroded limestone rocks that we want to see and then stopping in the city for lunch.  The region has its own version of cold tomato soup (Salmorejo from Cordoba) called Porra which is my favourite so I'm looking forward to having some as its quite time consuming to make.

As its Monday I'm here with my DT inspiration card for Last Minute Manda

Can you spot the obvious mistake ?๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

Todays card is made using the very sweet set of digital stamps called Monkey Birthday

It's a simple DL card - I have used distress ink to stencil a cloudy background leaving a white border around the card, just simple masking to add this border directly onto my base card.  I  have added a few splatters of ink around the panel and then stamped a sentiment using a dark blue ink.

The monkey and his balloons were coloured with my promarkers and  I have then fussy cut him out, adding to my card with low profile foam tape.

To keep the card simple just a few white sparkly sequins scattered around the design to finish it off.

Don't forget if you head over to the new Last Minute Manda store use my special discount code Wendy25 to get 25% off your shopping.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Lawn Fawn Stencil - Cloudy

I Love Promarkers DT - Challenge #533 - black & white

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday! I hope that you are having a lovely week.

I'm back on my blog today with the I Love Promarkers blog challenge  which is bi-weekly and it would be wonderful if you joined us, there are prizes up for grabs too.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Colour of LoveHeather Valentin is a new artist for me and there are lots of beautiful images and colouring pages in her shop to play with so it was really difficult to choose for today.

Here is my inspiration card for the blog challenge with the theme of a Black and White card, using a fun image called Sleepy Time Agnes

I think this would make a perfect modern looking and non traditional new baby card and its super sparkly in real life.

I decided to create a 6" x 6" card today for this sweet image, I've used a Kraft card base and then cut a peice of white card to size leaving a small border. Next I have cut a peice of black card stock again leaving a border of white.

To create my starry background I've used a starry 2 part stencil from Lawn Fawn, for the first layer I've added white ink and then let this dry. For the second layer I have used clear stencil past through the second stencil and then added a white sparkly glitter to the stars allowing this to completely dry before adding to my card base.

The digital stamp was resized to fit my card and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly card before colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours used).  Once coloured I have fussy cut out the image and then mounted this on to my card using foam squares.

The sentiment is from a set by Woodware and I've simply stamped in black ink onto a strip of white card.

The finishing touches are some white Nuvo drops around the hanging starts and I have used a metallic sparkle pen to highlight some of the details in the image.

I'm really pleased with my project today, I love the black and white background and the moon and lamb seem to glow in the sky.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

A Passion for Markers BlogSpot Challenge #686 - In the Garden

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all !

I'm here today to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by the wonderful Lili of the Valley

I've loved their rubber and photopolymer stamps for many, many years (I have lots and lots in my stash), so I was really happy to find out that we would be using one of their digital stamps for this challenge.

There are loads of lovely images in the Etsy store, so why not take a look and join in with the challenge.  Don't forget there will be a prize for the Winner of the challenge - there are more details over on the blog.

It was my turn to choose the theme for Team 2 this week and because this week is World Earth Day (Saturday 22nd April) I decided to pick 'In the Garden' as the theme for this challenge.  Gardens are so important to our environment especially when we plant bee and other insect friendly plants and where would we be without the bees.

This is my DT inspiration for the challenge made using the digital image Magical Flute...This sweet mouse playing his flute in the garden for the insects and just look at the flowers dancing for him too!

I like to imagine that our garden here comes alive with magical little creatures like these when we aren't around to watch.

The beautiful image was coloured with my Promarkers (see below for colours used) and I added some  additional die cut wild flowers around the sides of the panel, for some extra detail.

It's a larger 5" x 7" card and I've used Pan pastels to gently tint the background of the image, adding the design panel onto a layer of green cardstock.

The sentiment stamp is from Crafters companion and has been in my stash for ages but I thought was perfect for my card, stamped with a blue Versafine Clair ink.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Springtime Smiles Bunny and Easter Cake with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone wishing you a very happy Tuesday.  I hope that you are all enjoying the week so far.

We've had a really busy couple of weeks here with Easter and then lots of shopping for a wedding we are going to in May.  I'm really looking forward to it as it's in France and we are extending the trip too after the wedding for a little sightseeing and relaxing.

We haven't had a real holiday since we moved to Spain (I suppose every day is like a holiday really - but we do work hard most days in the garden).

It's that time again when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is Mum,  sadly I don't make any of these cards anymore and I rarely get asked to make them either but I am still inspired to create cards that I think my Mum would love to have received and ones I would like to get too.  I also think this would make a perfect birthday card.

So for todays card I chose to use a sweet little bunny from the Springtime Smiles collection called Bunny Rabbit with Easter Cake, I think a perfect image for a card for a Mum and I've teamed it with a perfect sentiment from the Lets Hang Out collection.

I've kept my card really simple, a panel of pretty floral paper from Winnie Sunshine Delights Paper Pack 1  for the background and the sentiment is on a floating panel at the bottom of the card.  I've used a wavy border die to cut the edge of the sentiment panel for interest, blending a little distress ink on the edge of the border and mounting it on foam tape off the card.

The sweet bunny image was coloured with my promarkers (see below for colours) and I've fussy cut this out to mirror the sentiment panel.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Eat Lots of Cake with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone wishing you all a happy Monday and a great week ahead.

As its Monday I'm here with my DT inspiration card for Last Minute Manda, I think I'm back on track with my blog, well for now at least ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…

Todays card is made using the very sweet set of digital stamps called Monkey Birthday

Whilst I make loads and loads of cards, I don't have many that are more suitable for men and boys, so today I've tried to make a card that would appeal to a younger boy.

Its a fairly simple, no frou frou card again that I think would be great for a male or female recipient, with a border of zig zag paper from Craftwork cards behind my main design panel.

The monkey was coloured with my promarkers and  I then used 4 different distress inks with a confetti stencil to add some interest to the background.

To keep the card simple, I've stamped two greeting strips and added these to the card with just a few clear sparkly sequins scattered around the design.

Don't forget if you head over to the new Last Minute Manda store use my special discount code Wendy25 to get 25% off your shopping.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Freesias Just For You with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a happy Thursday... I hope that your week is going ok....nearly the Weekend !

We are off on our local town group walk later on today and I'm really looking forward to stretching my legs.

Today I am sharing a card that I have made for for Pink Gem Designs using the beautiful Freesias digital stamp set .

This fabulous set includes 23 black Line art images and for todays card I have used the flower stems, leaves and separate flowers to create a spray of freesias for a one layer card.

I've used my favourite colours for my Freesias but this time I have used one of the digital papers from Pink Gem Designs to create my background.

The  simple digital sentiment is from the Polkadoodles Winnie Daisy Fairy Greeting bundle to my panel before printing out on alcohol marker friendly card stock.
I've added my card to a larger 5" x 7" card blank, matting this with black cardstock.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
