Big Birthday Wishes - Tons of Love with Polkadoodles

Hello and happy Thursday everyone....I hope that you are enjoying the week.....I think I have caught up with myself now after my trip - its amazing how long its taken me....unpacking, washing and catching up on sleep !

I'm back today to share another card made using the gorgeous new Tons of Love collection
by Polkadoodles

Elephants are my absolute favourite animal - I would have a real one in my garden if it was allowed !

If you haven't looked yet, it's a great digital collection for all sorts of projects, Valentines, birthdays, New Babies, Spring cards and lots more and as always there are black and white digital stamps for you to colour and pre-coloured versions if you prefer.  There are 3 gorgeous paper bundles, a fabulous bundle of sentiments and there's also a set of elephant number images for those special birthday celebrations too.

Don't forget if you want some more inspiration for this collection why not have a look in the Inspiration Gallery on the website.

Today's sweet card is using the digital stamp Gift Time, he is such a happy chap and who wouldn't want a present with him on top!

This is an A6 popup card, I'm loving this style at the moment as they are so easy to make.

To make the card base I have used a cherry red card stock with a mat layer of deep red and then used 3 papers from the collection on the different panels of the card.

For the centre popup panel I used a fabulous ricrac style die to cut a piece of the deep red card added a die cut layer of paper and then the cute elephant to the top with foam tape for dimension.

The elephant with his present has been coloured with Promarkers (see below for colours) and then fussy cut out.

To finish off my card I die cut different sized stars with some of the papers and adhered these around the design along with lots of gold confetti, star sequins and shimmer.

The sentiment  is from the collection cut into a simple strip, layered onto deep re card with a touch of distress ink to take away the stark white of the card.

I hope that you like my card full of love today from this wonderful new Tons of Love by Polkadoodles and you'll be back to see another card from me very soon.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Wishing you a Magical Day with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone and a happy Saturday... I hope that you have a lovely weekend.

The temperatures here are really ramping up this week - so that means early starts to get on with jobs before it gets too hot to work.

Today I am sharing a magical Unicorn  card that I have made for for Pink Gem Designs using the very cute Believe in Unicorns digital stamp set

It's a beautiful set of digital stamps and includes 9 black Line art images and 2 sentiments for you to use.  There is also a pre-coloured version if you prefer....perfect for loads of occasions I think and who doesn't love a sweet unicorn.

Todays card is a A2 (US) size card with a magical stencilled background.

I chose one of the sweet unicorns from the set and one of the sentiments, printing out on alcohol friendly cardstock before colouring with my promarkers.

The panel was die cut with a stitched edge die and the I have added stencilled stars to the design using a yellow distress ink.

I have added glossy accents to the star and clear sparkle to the stencilled background stars for extra magic.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

You Are a Star - Birthday Bunnies with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a happy Friday... I hope that your week has gone ok....nearly the Weekend !  Were more or less back to normal now after our trip away and the holiday washing is finally all dried and put away.

The rain this week has been wonderful and the garden it looking so refreshed - hopefully we'll have a little more but I'm not greedy.

Today I am sharing a card that I have made for for Pink Gem Designs using the very cute Bunnies digital stamp set

This fabulous set includes 7 black Line art images and 2 sentiments for you to use.

I decided for todays card to create a stencilled background using a beautiful starburst stencil from Clearly besotted. It comes in two parts, the starburst rays and the star so its a really versatile stencil to use.

I used 2 distress inks to create the starburst
effect and then used a stitched rectangle die to cut out the panel before mounting this onto an A2 (US Size) card blank.

Before adding my bunny to the card I stamped the sentiment towards the bottom right of the card and then positioned the bunny on low profile foam tape over the central star.

I added a little clear sparkle to the bunnies wings and then just a few pieces of gold confetti were scattered around the design for extra bling.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

I Love Promarkers DT - Challenge #533 - black & white

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday! I hope that you are having a lovely week.

I'm back on my blog today with the I Love Promarkers blog challenge  which is bi-weekly and it would be wonderful if you joined us, there are prizes up for grabs too.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Colour of LoveHeather Valentin is a new artist for me and there are lots of beautiful images and colouring pages in her shop to play with so it was really difficult to choose for today.

Here is my inspiration card for the blog challenge with the theme of a Black and White card, using a fun image called Sleepy Time Agnes

I think this would make a perfect modern looking and non traditional new baby card and its super sparkly in real life.

I decided to create a 6" x 6" card today for this sweet image, I've used a Kraft card base and then cut a peice of white card to size leaving a small border. Next I have cut a peice of black card stock again leaving a border of white.

To create my starry background I've used a starry 2 part stencil from Lawn Fawn, for the first layer I've added white ink and then let this dry. For the second layer I have used clear stencil past through the second stencil and then added a white sparkly glitter to the stars allowing this to completely dry before adding to my card base.

The digital stamp was resized to fit my card and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly card before colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours used).  Once coloured I have fussy cut out the image and then mounted this on to my card using foam squares.

The sentiment is from a set by Woodware and I've simply stamped in black ink onto a strip of white card.

The finishing touches are some white Nuvo drops around the hanging starts and I have used a metallic sparkle pen to highlight some of the details in the image.

I'm really pleased with my project today, I love the black and white background and the moon and lamb seem to glow in the sky.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

Have a Special Day with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone wishing you all a happy Thursday....

Our Easter Feria starts today ! Not another one I hear you say....well from now until around the end of September there is something happening each week in our town. The Spanish definitely know how to party.

The first main Easter procession takes place this evening from church carrying the statue of Christ around the town, accompanied by lots if music, rockets and costume ans maybe even a few glasses or wine... Its a long old procession so we only stay to watch for a short time.

Today I had planned to share a card that I have made for a blog I was invited to be Guest Designer for, but something has gone awry with their blog so I've postponed todays planned post, hopefully until the problem has been fixed.

I'm also a little late this week, catching up with myself, but I'm here with my DT inspiration card for Last Minute Manda

This is a great set of digital stamps called Monkey Birthday

Whilst I make loads and loads of cards, I don't have many that are more suitable for men and boys, so today I've tried to make a card that would appeal to a younger boy.

I've stuck to a green and blue colour palette for my main image and used some fabulous papers from Craftwork Cards that have been in my stash for a while now.

Because the zig zag paper is quite 'busy' I decided to die cut a stitched star from white card and have stamped the large sentiment onto this, before adding to my card.

The monkey was coloured with my promarkers and i then fussy cut him out before adding to the card with low profile foam tape.

Just a few sequins (I couldn't resist !) where then scattered around the design.

Don't forget if you head over to the new Last Minute Manda store use my special discount code Wendy25 to get 25% off your shopping.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Let's Get Spooky with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone - wishing you a lovely Saturday! I hope that you have had a lovely week.

I'm back here today with my third Halloween card in my mini series for Last Minute Manda.

This is another of the cute digital stamps from the Ghostly Good Time digital stamp set. These digitals are excellent value for money and there are so many different ways they can be used.

Today I decided to create a spooky purple cloudy back ground using one of my stencils and a couple of distress inks - purple for the clouds and then black around the edge  of the panel to draw the eye in to the centre of the card and to give it a mysterious feel. There are splatters of silver watercolour paint also in the background to give a magical look.

I think this particular image would be perfect for Halloween party invitations with his delicious looking martini, not sure about the eyeballs I think I would rather have olives ๐Ÿ˜‚ I wonder what my little ghost is drinking ?? hmm๐Ÿค”

I decided to add a Catherine wheel lolly to my ghost using my graphics software on the computer before printing him out ready for colouring.

The main image again has been coloured with my Promarkers (see below for colours used) sticking with the Triadic Halloween colour palette and I've added just a touch of sparkle to the stars although you cant really see this in the photo.

If you use my special DT code Wendy25 you can get 25% off your purchases in the new shop  lastminutemanda

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share in this series.
