Hello and happy Thursday everyone... It's Halloween Eve and I hope that you are getting ready for Halloween if you celebrate....I know its not everyone's cup of tea...I think were off to a party in our local bar but it depends how we feel tomorrow as JJ hasn't been well all week.

Fingers and claws crossed LOL

I have a really creepy circular card for you today created using the brand new Creepy Creatures collection  by Polkadoodles.

For this card I have used one of the pre-coloured  from the Creepy Things bundle, printed out twice and then decoupaged for dimension.

I blended a little orange ink around the background and layered onto one of the papers from the collection.

Simply and definitely creepy! Just love the two little mice on top of the skulls head.

The finishing touches were some confetti around the card.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

New Release - Spooky Time & Spooky Season - Halloween card & Tag - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone... I hope that you are having a good week so far - we are expecting some lovely rain this afternoon - yeah !  I know it's a bit strange wishing for the rain LOL

It's Halloween Week so today I'm sharing 2 of my projects - a card and a tag. which have both been created using the brand new Creepy Creatures collection  by Polkadoodles.

For my first card - Spooky Time I've used the strange and creepy little Candy Corns from the Creepy Things bundle

I resized them to create 3 different  creepies and printed them out before colouring with Promarkers and fussy cutting out....we didn't have Candy Corn really in the UK and definitely not here in Spain but these are super spooky with their little rabbit ears .

I used papers from the collection to mat and layer onto the DL card leaving a torn edge on the striped paper for texture.

The SPOOKY word was die cut from black card and then sprayed with Distress Mica Spray

The little candy corns were tucked around the word and the card was finished off with sparkly gems.

A fun and cute Spooky card I think....

My second Halloween make today is a cute and simple little tag - perfect for a Halloween gift or goody bag

The cute little Bat boy dressed up was resized to suit my tag and then I decided to colour him him dressing up as a tiger...its actually a little bat costume but all I could see was a kitty or a tiger.  Coloured with promarkers and fussy cut out.

The tag background was created with distress inks and the mica sprays.

The finishing touches were some gems, glossy accents, wool for the tag and the sentiment, cut out and inked with lime green ink

I hope that you like my projects today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

New Release - Hey There Pumpkin - Halloween cards - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello and happy Monday everyone... I hope that you had a lovely weekend!

It's Halloween Week and I've still got lots of Spooky Cute cards to share with you so I might have to do a couple each day...apologies in advance but I really want to share them all with you.

Both of my cards today are created using the brand new Creepy Creatures collection  by Polkadoodles.

For my first card I've used the Pumpkin Head digital stamp from the Creepy Things bundle, brightly coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut out....I love using fun bright colours for Halloween, its doesn't always have to be all about dark grunge.

For my simply spooky card I chose one of the fabulous background papers from the collection, resizing this to fit my smaller 6" x 6" card, punching the corners out and then layering onto magenta card stock.

I printed out the sentiment and then applied hot pink foil to it before fussy cutting out.

The cute little pre-coloured  Happy Pumpkin was printed out and fussy cut before tucking behind the little Pumpkin head boy...I added glossy accents to make his eyes pop out.

The finishing touches were some fluorescent yellow gel pens to the pumpkins eyes and nose to make him extra spooky, the tops of the tree and bats and in the windows of the spooky mansion.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

New Release - Boo - Halloween card - Spooky Owl - Shaker card - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday everyone... I hope that you are having a great week...we're off to Granada today with friends, taking them to a wonderful restaurant that we went to last week - yes we loved it so much were going back.  The views of the Alhambra are breath-taking and the food was perfect - I hope they like it too....fingers crossed

I'm back with another card from the brand new Creepy Creatures collection  by Polkadoodles.

For my spooky shaker card today I chose to use the Spooky Owl  from the Cute and Creepy Bundle.  I resized the image to suit my A6 Portrait card and then added the large Boo sentiment under the owl before printing out and colouring with my Promarkers.

I fussy cut out the centres of the large BOO letters so I could make a little shaker window behind using some clear acetate and Halloween coloured sequins.  I added a little orange distress ink around the owl and a few more sequins for additional shine.

The background paper is from the collection too.

The finishing touches were some glossy accents to the Owls eyes so they really stand out .

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

New Release - Scary Things - Halloween card - Creepy bird in a hat - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Monday... I hope that you have all had a great weekend.  I've got loads of admin to do on the computer this week... I've been bad not been keeping on top of things so I'm hoping to sort that out soon and then I can craft again....fingers crossed.

I'm back with another card from the brand new Creepy Creatures collection  by Polkadoodles.  It's a fantastic collection of 3 bundles.  Cute & Creepy, Witches & Broomsticks and Creepy Things,

Inside the collection you’ll find everything from pumpkins, ghosts, skeletons, mummies, bats, monsters and creepy dolls, to witches, broomsticks, cauldrons, spell books, black cats and potion bottles. Perfect for trick or treat cards, party invites, scrapbook layouts, junk journal spreads, stickers, planner pages and DIY stationery.

Each design comes as both pre-coloured images for quick makes and black & white digital stamps for colouring at home. Every bundle also includes free SVG outlines, making them ideal for Cricut, Silhouette Cameo and Brother ScanNCut.

For my spooky card today I chose to use the Creepy Bird in a hat  from the Cute and Creepy Bundle.  I resized the image to suit my A6 landscape card and then duplicated the image, flipping one so the two birds face each other.  I also added one of the spooky sentiments to the panel before printing out onto alcohol friendly cardstock and colouring with my Promarkers.

I wanted to create a spooky night time scene so I fussy cut out the top of the birds creating a small hill and then used distress inks to colour this.  I added a little green splatter to the grass for detail.

For the background panel I used a moon mask & Stencil and distress inks, adding water splatter to add texture.

I used foam tape to mount the bird design over the moon panel - a really simple but spooky design

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Best Witches - Halloween card - Cute Halloween Bundle - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Saturday......The weeks are absolutely flying past...till soon be you know what ! Today is a special day for us as we moved here from the UK permanently 8 years ago and its been the best thing ever.  It was a big step retiring early from our jobs and upping sticks, but perfectly planned and we haven't looked back...my only regret is not being able to do it sooner x

We are off to Granada for the day, a spot of wandering around the city and lunch is booked at a new (to us) restaurant overlooking the Alhambra.  We visit the city at least once a month as its only 40 minutes drive away and it's my favourite place to visit - no matter how often we go there is always more to see and more culture to soak up.

It's time to share another cutie for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)  using their latest  Cute Halloween bundle featuring 35 very cute Ghosties, ghoulies and witches, definitely everything you need to create some fantastic Halloween projects.

The huge bundle is now available in the Etsy shop and don't miss out on the fabulous sale price (Ends very soon !)

For todays card I've used one of the cute little witches from the bundle, zooming around on her broomstick.

I resized her to fit my A6 card and then printed out, colouring with promarkers before fussy cutting out....I also printed out a fabulous spooky sentiment too.

I chose one of the papers from the Cosmic paper bundle and used this for my card, die cutting an aperture through which I used the stencil to add the moon directly onto the card base.

The sentiment was die cut and I blended a little purple and blue ink to that it blended in with the card design.

Finishing touches were some clear sparkle for her outfit, white gel pen highlights and sparkly confetti around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

New Release - Halloween card - Too Cute to Spook - Scruffy Cat - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Thursday...  So we have a yellow warning for rain and storms in the area starting this afternoon but looking at the sky at the moment its a beautiful day with a few clouds starting to build up over the mountains so who knows.

I hope by now you have seen the brand new release from Polkadoodles, it's perfect for all those Halloween projects.  Creepy Creatures collection is a fantastic collection of 3 bundles.  Cute & Creepy, Witches & Broomsticks and Creepy Things,

Inside the collection you’ll find everything from pumpkins, ghosts, skeletons, mummies, bats, monsters and creepy dolls, to witches, broomsticks, cauldrons, spell books, black cats and potion bottles. Each design comes as both pre-coloured images for quick makes and black & white digital stamps for colouring at home. Every bundle also includes free SVG outlines, making them ideal for Cricut, Silhouette Cameo and Brother ScanNCut.

For my card today I chose to use the the Witches Scruffy Cat digital image - I love cats especially black ones, there's just something about them.... perhaps its my inner witch clambering to get out LOL

It's a smaller A6 card so I resized the kitty to suite my design and then printed out on alcohol marker friendly card before colouring with my promarkers.. I added one of the sentiments to the bottom of the panel and then used a circular die to partially cut out the kitty, fussy cutting around the kitty.

I added some brickwork stencilling to this panel and used a green ink to stencil clouds onto the card base.

To finish off the design I added glossy accents to the kitties eyes and green foil to the sentiment.

A simple but spooky card!

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

New Release - Halloween card - Pumpkin Boy - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Sunday... yes I'm back! 2 days in a row Shock Horror  LOL

It's another sunny hot Autumn day here today at 30C again, wonderful I know and I'm definitely not complaining given the weather in the UK at the moment, but I would really like it a little cooler now - good for drying the washing.

There is a brand new release from Polkadoodles and its just perfect for all those Halloween projects.

For my first card I chose to use the Cute and Creepy Bundle, this is Pumpkin Boy and I've used the pre-coloured version for this card although he is available for you to colour too!

It's a larger A7 or 5" x 7" card so I resized the character to suite my design and then printed him out a couple of times so I can do a little fussy cutting and decoupaging for dimension.

I chose one of the spooky papers from the collection, Loving the orange and teal so I used this as my colour pallet for the die cut frame and banners and also blended distress ink around the edge of the paper to add darker tones.

I added splatters of white and black gesso to the paper and also distress mica spray so in real life the card has a spook shine to it.

To finish off the design I added white gelly roll pen highlights around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Digi Choosday - Gnome Trick or Treat collection - Spiders - pop up frame card - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....Its October 1st already and after a fantastic Feria in our town thoughts are now turning to the Autumn..... Schools return after the long hot holidays and classes get back to normal.

I'm hoping to get a place in the Pilates class but its always such a popular class and places are limited - fingers crossed !

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is Spiders !!! Yuck ...I'm definitely not a fan at all of spiders...even little ones ...I'm actually not sure what I dislike the most spiders or snakes...its a tough one but this is still a cute card even with the spiders LOL

Anyway I always like a challenge so I decided to use the Gnome Trick or Treat collection for spooky spider card today.... as you already know I don't make lots of Halloween cards but this was fun to create and I'm sure it will be loved by it's recipient.

I chose the Spider Web Gnome and decided to create a pop up frame card so that the gnome could hang from the spiders web on the card.

I resized the main focal image to fit my 6" x 6" card and added a sentiment at the bottom of my square panel before printing out on alcohol marker friendly cardstock and colouring with promarkers. I coloured the pumpkin eyes and mouth with a fluorescent gelly roll pen.

I then used a square die to partially cut an aperture on the panel and then fussy cut out the image of the gnome so he is suspended from the cobweb.

Next I added grey distress ink over the frame and create some little pop up hinges from black card.

I chose a cobweb and spider paper from the Boo Halloween collection, adhering a panel to the base of my card blank.  Once dry I then adhered the cut out panel to the card .

I love these pop up frame cards as they give loads of dimension but fold flat for posting.

To finish off the design I added glossy accents, white gelly roll pen highlights and some black sparkly gems around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Digi Choosday - Hocus Pocus collection - Halloween Pumpkins - Happy Halloween card - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....We're currently away on holiday in Mallorca (last day today) so I hope my blog has posted ok....fingers crossed.

It's strange to be thinking about Halloween whilst we are enjoying the sea and sun on an absolutely gorgeous little Spanish island.... it's so easy and quick for us to get here too - this time we flew from Granada airport which is so much nicer and smaller than Malaga.

It'll be our town Feria soon too so lots of fun to come !

The theme set for the DT this week is Halloween Pumpkins......loved carving a pumpkin when we lived in the UK to put outside the front door but its not really a big celebration here and the children only really Trick or Trick within the little town itself.... thankfully so we don't have to buy loads of sweets !

I reached for the Hocus Pocus collection again (one of my favourite spooky sets I think) and selected the different scary pumpkins from a couple of the sets in the collection.

On my computer I resized them to suite a landscape DL card and merged together to create a row of scary pumpkins before printing them out and colouring with my promarkers.  For the eyes and mouths I've used a couple of fluorescent gel pens to give the look of scary glowing faces - it would be great with glow in the dark pens .....hmm I must have a look for some.

I also printed out one of the wonderful sentiments from the Ghastly Ghosts set onto a DL panel.  Next I used 5 distress inks to create my spooky Halloween background and finally foiled the sentiment in gold.

The row of pumpkins was added to my card and I've finished it off with a white gel pen and some black gems.

It's the perfect collection of 3 sets of digital stamps, sentiments and ephemera and comes in black and white images for you to colour but also in pre-coloured format...there's Autumn Fall Halloween Treat, Ghastly Ghosts and Hocus Pocus Witches.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Sunday......I'm a bit late updating my blog today - it's been a very sultry day here so not been doing much at all but we're out to some friends house shortly for a few drinks tonight which I'm looking forward to.

It's time to share another cutie for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)  using their latest  Cute Halloween bundle featuring 35 very cute Ghosties, ghoulies and witches, definitely everything you need to create some fantastic Halloween projects.

For my third card I've used the cute little Spider - can spiders actually be cute ? hmm I'm not sure but maybe its the hat as this one definitely is.

I resized the spider to fit my 6" x6" card and then printed out, colouring with promarkers before fussy cutting out....I also printed out a fabulous spooky sentiment too.

I then create a simple stencilled background with some distress oxide inks and a spider web stencil.

To create a tunnel effect I die cut 3 hexagonal frames from black glitter card and adhered these over the stencilled panel offsetting each to give a spiralling effect before adding the little spider into his web using foam tape for a little dimension.

Finishing touches were some glossy accents to the spiders eyes and some purple confetti around the design for my definitely too cute to spook card.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)
