Hugs Included with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone wishing you all a very happy Monday- I hope that you are all enjoyed the weekend.

Today I have another card that I've made for Last Minute Manda using the Foxy Valentine digital stamp set.

She is such a sweet little lady fox off to post her card filled with lots of love - I wonder who its for ?

I decided to create a scene for my card today and started by creating an inky background using distress inks pressed onto my glass mat, spraying a little water and then swiping a piece of watercolour card stock through the ink. I like to use one colour of ink at a time and use my heat tool to dry off the card between each layer. You don't need to use watercolour card for this simple technique as long as you don't use too much water but I like the texture that it has.

Its such an easy and very quick technique and creates some wonderful and unique backgrounds...perfect for my sky today.  I created the inky panel and then allowed this to dry overnight to allow the card to flatten.

Next I stamped the post box and the sentiment using stamps from Woodware onto the background panel and also onto a second peice of watercolour cardstock using Versafine ink which is perfect for watercolours.  I coloured box images using a combination of watercolour pens and distress inks and allowed each to dry.

The second image was cut out and I used a black pen around the edge of the image to hide any white card showing.

The hill and grass was die cut from a contrasting green card and then layered onto the background, layering up the second post box over the top of the first.  I love these stamps from Woodware as there are loads of details included in the images.

My sweet little fox was coloured with Promarkers (see below) before fussy cutting out and then adhering to my design with some low profile foam.

Don't forget if you head over to the new Last Minute Manda store use my special discount code Wendy25 to get 25% off your shopping.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

I love you more than sprinkles

Hello everyone I hope that you are having a lovely Sunday.

Since we had the heater unit installed in the Craft/Study I have to admit we've been spending a lot more time there - I wonder why ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Definitely more conducive to crafting !

Today I have a card that I've made for a challenge on aNNie's World Wide Crafty Inventions Facebook group.

It's a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge open until the end of January so there's a little more time for you to join in.

It's a great idea as it really helps when you have low mojo days.....

The idea is that you pick three of the elements to work with to create your project.

 For my card I chose
  • Add dimension
  • ink
  • patterned paper
I created a background for my card adhering 4 leftover pieces of patterned paper from another project to a piece of thin card that is slightly smaller than my base card, to leave a small white boarder around the design - its a great way to use up those scraps that we all hoard.

Then I have used a 'new to me stamp' to stamp my focal image in black Versafine ink and then used distress inks to watercolour my cupcake.

For some extra detail I have more distress ink and a stencil to add detail to the image panel before mounting this onto my card.  I have added some confetti around the card for extra bling and to help draw the eye around the card.

And finally I have chosen a suitable sentiment and then mounted this using foam tape for dimension.

Just a simple sweet card and perfect for loads of occasions.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Dani the Dragon with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone - wishing you a wonderful Thursday....I hope you are all enjoying the week so far.

I'm a very happy bunny today as we had a heater unit installed in the Craft room / Study yesterday... We had a gas heater in here before but it was a pain to lug a full gas bottle up the stairs so job done !  Hopefully no more cold fingers when I'm crafting ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Today I have 2 cards for you featuring the cute little dragon called Dani from Pink Gem Designs

I was asked by a friend here where we live, to make a pair of 60th Birthday cards for their Welsh friends back in the UK, a husband and wife and Dani sprang to mind immediately for these cards - what better than a Welsh dragon.... obviously my take on a Welsh dragon.

I decided to use Dani with Balloon for one of the cards and teamed this with some pretty daffodil paper from my crafty stash with a simple wavy stitched die cut border.  The sentiment is from my CraftArtist software printed onto the background panel.

My coloured dragon was mounted onto my card using some low profile foam and then some confetti scattered around the design to finish off.

For the second card I've used Dani with his hat with the same colourway but for my background I've created a panel based on the Welsh flag and then simply positioned my coloured Dani in the centre  of the card.  The sentiment and green textured digital paper are both from my CraftArtist software.  I decided to add the panel to the card with a simple mat layer of dark green card.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

You are just the Best - Valentines with Polkadoodles

Happy Tuesday everyone I hope that you are having a good week so far !

It's the start of a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT today is Valentines and I am sure you are going to love all the inspiration from the team, even if you don't make Valentines Day cards, I think this gorgeous image and the sentiment would be perfect for wedding anniversaries or just to send a little love to someone.

I chose to use a digital stamp from the very Love Always collection this one is called Love You Balloon

The digital stamp was first resized on my computer to suit a 5" x 7" card blank before printing out and colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours used)

I chose a sentiment from the Lets Hang Out collection and a simple striped paper from the Love Always papers set 2 and added the sentiment to my paper panel before printing this out.

My coloured in bunny with balloon was going to stand on top of the sentiment but I thought there needed to be a little more contrast between the image and the paper so die cut a heart from vellum and then used an embossing folder to add detail and texture.

Just a few pieces of rose gold confetti were then scattered around the design - don't forget odd numbers are always the best as they are more pleasing to the eye!

I hope that you like my card for today and will come back to see my next project

Happy birthday Dani with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone - wishing you a wonderful Thursday....I hope you are all enjoying the week.

Today I have another card for you featuring the cute little dragon called Dani  this time from a set of 2 black and white and 2 pre-coloured images (with and without a hat) by Pink Gem Designs.

The Happy Birthday sentiment that I've used for this card is from the Dani with Balloon set and I've added this to a fun designer paper from Polkadoodles that is part of the Happy Cactus collection set 1 before printing out.

I cut an aperture in the card panel using a spellbinders circular scalloped die I've had for years and used the same die and the next one down to create a frame from teal card.   I used my cloud stencils to blend a little distress ink behind the aperture to coordinate with the cardstock.

A few sparkly sequins and a little clear sparkle on his wings to finish off the card.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Foxy Love - Just For You with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone wishing you all a very happy Sunday - I hope that you are all enjoying the weekend.

Today I thought I would share a card that I've made for Last Minute Manda using the Foxy Valentine digital stamp set.  She is such a sweet little lady fox and I've coloured her with my Promarkers (see below) before fussy cutting out for my design.

I decided to make this card to enter a blog challenge for A Passion for Markers... Its a sketch Challenge and these are a great way to spark your creative juices... we all lose our mojo at times and sketches can really help get us back on track !

The digital sentiment from Polkadoodles - Winnie Special Moments has been added to the paper before printing out to keep the design flat and simple. I've added a few pink sequins to match the designer paper and add a little sparkle.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
