Digi Choosday - Hello Autumn - Yellow & Orange - Autumn is Coming card - Freddy Fox Collection - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week so far and that the weather is being kind to you.

I know its still the middle of Summer but as a card maker we try to get ahead and that sometimes feels like were making cards at the wrong time of the year...but I promise you it makes sense in the craft world LOL

It's time for the Design Team to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog. I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week by Nikky was Autumn is coming...using Yellow and Orange !.  I love the garden in the Autumn, the colours around are amazing and the high temperatures of the summer have started to subside.  I decided to reach for a digital stamp from the Freddy Fox Autumn / Fall Collection for my card today as he has the perfect colourings.

The digital stamp I have chosen is Apple Barrel Fox, resized for my smaller A6 card before printing out and colouring with Promarkers. I then used my ScannCut to cut out Freddy although it could easily be cut by hand.

I wanted to create lots of layers and textures for my card today so used lots yellow and orange distress inks to create an ink smooshed panel on watercolour card, allowing each colour to dry before adding the next colour, building up layers slowly.

Next I added interest to this panel, stamping leaves and dots in distress oxide inks and added some gold stencilling too here and there.

I tore down the right hand side of the inked panel, leaving the white core exposed and then chose a couple of papers from the collection adding strips below the inked panel again with torn edges.

I used an arched dies to create a frame, in yellow and orange card and adhered this to the panel on the card.

My coloured Freddy image was mounted onto the card with foam tape.

I then stamped leaves from the leftover distress ink panel and hand cut these out.  I had a few mushrooms left over from another project so decided to colour these with orange and yellow alcohol pens to coordinate with the theme and layered these at the bottom of the card, along with a sentiment from the Freddy Fox collection.

To finish off my card today I've added white gelly roll pen highlights and scattered orange gems around the design as I always love a little sparkle on my cards.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Hello and a happy  Friday everyone ! I hope that you have all had a great week, not too hot if you are based in Europe!

Today I'm super excited to share a tropical themed card that I have made which is just perfect for this hot weather we are having.

I was very lucky to win  the May digital stop release by Freakin' Cute and this cutie is Amara...isn't she gorgeous and doesn't she know it too !

You can grab here I the Ko-fi shop !

If you know me then you know how much I love bold strong colours and I decided to embrace them for this card.

I created a hot tropical background blending distress inks on a panel of white card and then used a tropical themed die to cut out that leafy border frame from green card, adding green distress ink to this to add extra depth.

I used my ScannCut to cut out Amara and the sentiment.

I added a couple of extra leaves and the fabulous sentiment that comes with Amara, finishing off my card with a few clear sparkly gems around the design.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my tropical card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

New Release - Cute Creatures - Bundle Offer - You are my favourite person - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone happy Friday - I hope you have all had a lovely week and have  a lovely weekend planned.

We've had another really busy week with various appointments and keeping up with jobs around the house and garden so I'm looking forward to lunch today with fiends at our favourite restaurant nearby.

I'm back today to share a sweet little A6 card using one of the cute little critters from the brand new  Cute Creatures collection by Lili of the Valley (LOTV)available now from the Etsy shop.

It's a fantastic collection of 2 sets of images, that you can buy separately or as a complete collection - I know which I would choose as its a fantastic price for what's included.  Each set contains 93 cute little creatures or you can get all 186 creatures.

My sweet card has been made using the little love bird from set 1.  I resized him and created a reversed copy as I wanted the two little birds to be facing each other.

All of these little images are so easy to colour and you can really use your imagination with them.

The two little birds were printed out onto alcohol friendly card and coloured with my promarkers before cutting out with my ScanNCut.

Next I created my background, using a cloud stencil and distress inks to create a magical sky to complete my rainbow of colours used.

I die cut a little branch and some leaves, adding distress ink to these for some shading.

The sentiment was cut out in a little cloud shape on my ScanNCut and I blended ink over this too.

Finishing touches were some little clear sparkly gems, a little clay heart and white gel pen highlights around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

New Release - Cute Creatures - Bundle Offer - Batty About you - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone happy Sunday - I hope the weekend is going ok for you.

We were out last night at our favourite bar - normally date night is Friday but we swapped this week and it was nice for a change.

I'm in the middle of preparing for the arrival of my new computer - I'm really excited as the one I have at the moment is really struggling and on its last legs but feeling a little apprehensive too trying to get everything running on the new one. Ill keep you posted hopefully, assuming I can get onto my blog that is LOL

Today I'm sharing another a sweet little A6 card using one of the cute little critters from the brand new  Cute Creatures collection by Lili of the Valley (LOTV). available now from the Etsy shop.

It's a fantastic collection of 2 sets of images, that you can buy separately or as a complete collection - I know which I would choose as its a fantastic price for what's included.  Each set contains 93 cute little creatures or you can get all 186 creatures.

My sweet little bat card has been made using set 1 resizing him and then printing onto alcohol friendly card and colouring with with my promarkers before cutting out with my ScanNCut.

Who ever said that bats are just for Halloween.

Next I created my background, I printed out a piece of paper from the Cosmic paper set and used a circular die to cut an aperture in the paper and then used a moon stencil to create the moon with distress ink.

The little branch that the bat is sat on was die cut from black card and I added a white gel pen highlight to the top of the branch.

Finishing touches were some sparkly gems and white gel pen highlights around the design.

I hope that you like my cards today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

New Release - Cute Creatures - Bundle Offer - Don't Let the little things bug you - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone happy Saturday - wishing you all a great weekend.

We've had such a busy week with various appointments, trips to Granada and things to do around the house and garden so I'm feeling completely out of sink, not entirely sure what day it is really....LOL

It was so windy yesterday too, I got blown home from my yoga class and ended up with loads of dust and grit in my eyes, hoping for a less blustery day today.

I'm back today to share a sweet little A6 card using one of the cute little critters from the brand new  Cute Creatures collection by Lili of the Valley (LOTV). available now from the Etsy shop.

It's a fantastic collection of 2 sets of images, that you can buy separately or as a complete collection - I know which I would choose as its a fantastic price for what's included.  Each set contains 93 cute little creatures or you can get all 186 creatures.

My sweet little caterpillar card has been made using set 1 and I have to say they are so easy to colour and make really cute cards - I'm sure you'll love them and the hardest part is what to create with first.

I resized the caterpillar and then printed him out onto alcohol friendly card and colouring with with my promarkers before cutting out with my ScanNCut.

Next I created my background, I wanted the little caterpillar to be nestled in amongst the leaves but with a bite taken out so I used a stencil to create the leafy pattern and then die cut a shape out of the side of the panel.

Finishing touches were some little sparkly gems and white gel pen highlights around the design.

I hope that you like my cards today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Digi Choosday - Spring Animals - Lucy Monkman - Spring Card - Bunny & Birds - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week.  Wishing you all a very happy April too.

It's nearly time to celebrate Easter, only a couple of days away and that will mark the end of our 2 weeks of Semana Santa here in Spain.

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to make a Spring Animals themed project or card. Springtime is such a wonderful time as the garden really seems to come alive and the colours and smells from all the blossom around the garden is amazing - all the rain we had earlier on in the year has really helped the plants.

I decided to create a very simple one layer card today using one of the gorgeous quirky designs from the Lucy Monkman collection.  These are just the sweetest images and they really don't need lots of difficult colouring and I think are perfect when you want to create something quick simple and fun.

I chose the Bunny and Birds image, printing it out onto an A6 panel of alcohol marker friendly card.  I also printed out the same image on paper too as I was planning on creating some masks for my design.

I coloured the images with my promarkers and then fussy cut out the masks from paper, adhering these over my coloured images using a repositionable glue.  I added glossy accents to the musical notes rather than cutting masks and allowed this to completely dry.

Next I created the background gently blending distress inks to create a pretty cloudy sky and some hills.

Once I was happy with the background I carefully removed the little masks.

To finish off the card I added little white gel pen highlights around the design.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #822 - Use Ribbon or Lace - Sponsored by RAM Stamps

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day - We've had a few days now of cold, wind and rain and there's more to come this week - I do love days when I can craft and catch up with my blog especially when its too cold to be outside.

So glad we have our log burner for the evenings and we've also treated ourselves to a huge electric blanket for the sofa too - it makes such a big difference and a couple of the kitties are also in love with it LOL.

Today I'm here to let you know that there's a new week long challenge on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in as there is a prize up for grabs.

This week we are being sponsored by RAM Stamps and our theme is very simple - Use Ribbon or Lace being hosted by Kitty for Team 2.

As we've had so much rain over recent days I decided today to use the very sweet Friendship Mouse printed out and coloured with my Promarkers before fussy cutting out.

I have absolutely loads of ribbons but very rarely use them in my cards these days - something else I need to use more to create some space LOL.

The white top panel is a pre-cut panel that I've had for many years from Craftwork cards so I started by stencilling s few rain drops onto this before wrapping a small piece of sheer blue ribbon around the bottom of the panel.  I added a peice of blue paper to the card base and stamped a sentiment in the bottom right corner of the card

The stencilled panel was adhered to the card base with foam tape and then the sweet little mouse adhered onto the rain drops again with foam tape.

The finishing touches were some clear sparkle onto the puddle and the rain drops and glossy accents to the little lady bird.

Wishing you all a wonderful week!

I hope that you join in with the challenge as don't forget there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

I just wanted to say - Hello - Waving Animals - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Saturday.  It's another cold and windy day here and we've got rain due later and then for a few days - cant complain though as its still sunny so the solar panels are working well and the battery is fully charged.

I'm so late with this blog post - I shared the cards last Tuesday on my Facebook page but completely forgot to write my blog so many apologies for that.  I have to say my head has been all over the place lately and I've had loads of headaches - too full of nonsense with everything that is going on at the moment!

I'm here today with a couple of sweet cards that I've made for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) featuring a little butterfly and a bear from the Waving Animals digital stamp set available in the Etsy shop.

It's a huge set of 18 cute little waving animals - you will be spoilt for choice and there are 30 sentiments included too....perfect for loads of different occasions.

Just some simple colouring with my promarkers for both of the little critters and then I have used my ScanNCut machine to cut them out.

The simple backgrounds were stencilled with distress inks and finishing touches added of confetti and gems.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Digi Choosday - Darling Buds collection - Thank you card - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you all had a Wonderful Christmas and New Year!

The Polkadoodles DT has been taking a well earned break and I'm hoping that Nikky got to enjoy Christmas too but it must be so difficult when its your own business to get a good balance between work and relaxation.

Today the team is back and we're here to kick off the new Digi Choosday challenges for 2026 - I hope you will join in as you could win a fantastic prize.

The theme set for the DT this week is Thank you so I d4ecided to create a special card for my best friend back in the UK - to say thank you for being such a wonderful friend.  I don't get to see her much since we moved to Spain and she doesn't really like to travel so I miss her loads but I know that she is there if I need her and we do chat from time to time via messenger.

I chose to use one of the beautiful girls from the Darling Buds collection - this is one of my absolute favourites - Crocus Flower girl.  I adore crocuses especially the yellow and purple ones.  We have a few in our garden here that I brought with us when we moved and they are just so pretty in bloom.  I was hoping they would spread more but I think the pesky fruit rats eat the bulbs - naughty things!  My BFF loves the garden and flowers so I think she'll love this card - fingers crossed.

I resized the Crocus girl to suit my DL card before colouring in with promarkers, using a yellow and purple colour palette before fussy cutting out.

Next I decided to create a fresh looking background directly onto the card base starting with one of the Switchable stencils.  I used the Triptych Square  stencils and yellow and purple distress ink to create my design.

I splattered a little yellow and purple ink across the panel and  then blended more yellow ink around the edge of the card.

To finish off the background I used one of the Funky Borders stamps and purple Distress Oxide ink to stamp into each of the corners, adding some very sparkly glitter to the little circles.

Next I adhered my little Crocus girl to the card base using foam tape for dimension and the sentiment was tucked into the design towards the bottom.

To finish the card I added some sparkly gems, more stickles to the dress, white pen highlights and clear sparkle pen to the flowers.  I wish you could see the sparkle as its so pretty but photos don't do it justice.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.
