Hugs - Shutter card - Sweet Wishes - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Monday....our wonderful feria here in Orgiva is now over for another year and life is getting back to normal, the best part is we have wonderful rain.

It probably sounds weird to my UK friends but after so long without rain and such a hot dry summer its a welcome relief - you can hear the garden sighing!

I'm here today with a sweet card for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) featuring a cute little bear from the Sweet Wishes digital stamp set available in the Etsy shop.

It's a huge set of 14 cute little images and the sweetest sentiments....perfect for loads of different occasions and there is a fabulous 60% Sale off everything in the shop until to celebrate World Cardmaking day on 4th October

Just some simple colouring with my promarkers for the bear before fussy cutting him out.

As most of you know I don't tend to make many interactive cards but for this I wanted to have a go at a shutter card and I was pleasantly surprised once I had got my head around the measurements.

For the instructions on how to make the card I followed a tutorial by Inky Inspirations.

This is the tutorial that I followed, I made a few tweaks to the measurements to suite my card base and envelope.

The background papers I have used are from the Sweet Candy papers....the little balloon is also from the Sweet Wishes stamp set.

Finishing touches were some teal confetti around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Love, Love, Love with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week.

The first Friday of the month marks the start of a new Challenge for December over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge or our theme for February as you would expect is Love, Love, Love, as long as you use a digital or stamped image in your project, so why not join in the challenge.

Winners of the challenge will receive 2 digital stamps of your choice from Pattie's shop.

Pattie has some wonderful digital stamps in her Etsy Shop pattiescreations and there is also a freebie every month on the blog that you can use in your project if you want to!

For my February project, I chose  to use the Bear Love with Balloons digital stamp to create a 6" x 6" card.

I resized the image to suit and printed it out, colouring with Promarkers and then fussy cutting out.

The sentiment on my design panel is from the Love Always collection by Polkadoodles and I have foiled this with gold foil , before cutting out and layering with card for dimension.
I chose a paper from my stash to coordinate with the cute fluffy bear and adhered this to a Kraft card blank, adding two strips of the reverse paper towards the bottom of the card, this would allow me to ground the bear image.

The heart was die cut from vellum before embossing with a heart design embossing folder and then I have added this to the card, hiding any glue behind the bear image. I find that vellum is perfect when there is a busy background paper in the design, to separate it from the image better.

To finish off the card I added a few sequins around the design, added clear sparkle to the balloons and glossy accents to the bear's nose.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.

Have a Beary Happy Christmas with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone and a happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week.

It's still quit hot here at the moment and I'm starting to feel ready for it to be a little bit cooler especially at night, and maybe just a little rain too - I'm not being greedy!

I decided to make another Christmas card  today for Pink Gem Designs using the recently released and very cute Christmas Bears Digital Stamp Set

This set of digital stamps includes 7 black line art images and a coordinating  sentiment for you to use.

This is a sweet card A6 (UK Size), with a simple mat layer of gold glitter card on the card base.

I created the design using my graphics software adding two of the little angel bears , the sentiment and the Christmas tree from the Christmas Kittens set

To create my scene for the card I cut the panel of white cardstock using a stitched edge border die and then blended a yellow distress ink through a starry sky stencil.  I've added a little blue ink around the bottom of the design with a torn piece of paper to resemble little clouds...I wanted the bears to be in the sky on a cloud with their tree.

Just a little sparkly glitter was added to the snowflakes and I've used a clear sparkle pen for the bears wings, stars and baubles.

Just a simple strip sentiment and then some sparkle and shimmer were added to the snowflakes, baubles and the star.  I've blended a tiny amount of yellow distress ink behind the star too to give it a glow.
I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Teds the bear with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week.

Its our Wedding Anniversary today so were off out for the day...a little shopping and a lovely lunch at a favourite restaurant on the coast to celebrate 20 years ! Where has the time gone....x

Today also marks the start of a new Challenge for March over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

For my March project, I decided to use the new Teds the Bear  digital stamp.

Springtime in the UK was always a lovely time with the spring flowers and showers of rain but here in Spain, we have the beautiful flowers all year but very little rain so today my card is to wish that we have some lovely Spring showers to prepare the garden for the hot Summer that is to follow very soon.

I resized the image in my graphics software to suit a 6" x 6" card before printing out on alcohol friendly card stock and colouring with my Promarkers (see below for the colours).

I created a simple rainy backdrop for Teds, by first stamping my sentiment in blue ink and the I have used a stencil and distress ink to create the rain drops. I  added a layer of clear stencil paste over the stencil to make the rain drops sparkle.

Once this was completely dry I have adhered the panel to my base card with a layer of craft foam and then adhered Teds to the card with some low profile foam.

Just some simple clear sparkly confetti around the design to finish off the card.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.

Valentine Bear with Love with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week

Today marks the start of a new Challenge for February over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge as long as you use a digital or stamped image in your project,  so why not join in the challenge - Winners of the challenge will receive 2 digital stamps of your choice from Pattie's shop.

Pattie has some wonderful digital stamps in her Etsy Shop pattiescreations and there is also a freebie every month on the blog that you can use in your project if you want to!

For my February project, I decided to use the Valentine Bear without Sentiment  digital stamp as I wanted to be able to use this card not just for Valentines.  I added the sentiment digitally in my graphics software before printing out on alcohol friendly card stock.

This sweet image is also available with a sentiment Valentine Bear Be Mine

Todays card is a smaller A6 size in portrait style and i decided to add a panel of patterned paper to the bottom of the card with a very thin strip of red card at the top.

I have then gently added some distress ink directly onto the white card blank, just behind where the bear will sit...its like a halo around the main image.

I've colored the bear with my promarkers(see below for colours) before fussy cutting and mounting onto my card using low profile foam.

Just some simple confetti around the design to finish off the card.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.
