Merry and Bright - Winter Cottage Snow Globe - with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely first week of December

I hope that you are starting to get into the Christmas spirit - we'll be putting our tree and decorations up hopefully over the weekend.

The 1st Friday of the month marks the start of a new Challenge for December over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge or our theme for December is Winter Around the World, so as long as you use a digital or stamped image in your project, why not join in the challenge.

Winners of the challenge will receive 2 digital stamps of your choice from Pattie's shop.

Pattie has some wonderful digital stamps in her Etsy Shop pattiescreations and there is also a freebie every month on the blog that you can use in your project if you want to!

For my December project and to add to my stash of Christmas cards, I chose  to use the Winter Cottage Sow Globe
digital stamp to create this pretty A7 or 5" x 7" card.

I resized the image to suit my card size and printed it out before colouring with Promarkers.  I then fussy cut out the base of the snow globe and set aside.

Next I used a circular die to cut an aperture from a peice of snowflake patterned paper.  I adhered the glass part of the snow globe directly to the card base and then adhered the patterned paper over the top of this.

As the patterned paper is quite busy I cut a panel of vellum to adhere over the top, running it through a snowflake embossing folder for texture.  I applied a little Kraft coloured ink to accentuate some of the snowflakes.

I then adhered the base of the snow globe to the card using foam tape for dimension, adding a small bow from bakers twine.

The sweet banner sentiment was heat embossed in rose pink and added below the image.

To finish off the card I added lots of sparkle around the design

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.

For my November project, I chose  to use the Baa to You

I resized the image to suit my card size and printed it out before colouring with Promarkers.  I then used a confetti stencil to add colourful detail into the background of the design panel.

For my fun birthday card, I used a new die from Studio light to cut out the stitched frame for the card from silver mirri card....the die set cuts out the outer frame and there are also extra dies to cut the banners, balloons and streamers etc.

I used the little banner die to die cut from scraps of coloured card and then added the letters to spell out Happy on the two banners.

Autumn Birthday Wishes - Autumn Wreath - with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week.

The first Friday of the month marks the start of a new Challenge for December over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge or our theme for September is School Days, so as long as you use a digital or stamped image in your project, why not join in the challenge.

Winners of the challenge will receive 2 digital stamps of your choice from Pattie's shop.

Pattie has some wonderful digital stamps in her Etsy Shop pattiescreations and there is also a freebie every month on the blog that you can use in your project if you want to!

For my September project, I chose  to use the Autumn Wreath
digital stamps to create a 6" x 6 " card.

This is definitely a more traditional style of card and quite different to my recent creations but I'm pleased with how its turned out.

I resized the image to suit my card size and added an autumn sentiment into the centre of the panel before printing out on my LaserJet printer.  As I was going to create some extra layering I printed out some of the leaves a second time.

I then used a selection of distress inks to colour the leaves with an autumnal palette before fussy cutting them out.

I then applied gold foil to the extra leaves that would be popped up on foam tape for dimension and used rose gold foil for the sentiment in the centre.
For the background I used a linen effect embossing folder to add texture to Kraft card and then applied white dye ink over the texture to soften the look.

To finish off the card I added some white gelly roll pen highlights to the acorns and scattered gold confetti around the design.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week.

The first Friday of the month marks the start of a new Challenge for December over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge or our theme for August is Beach or Under the Sea, so as long as you use a digital or stamped image in your project, why not join in the challenge.

For my July project, I chose  to use one of the sweet Scuba Girls Latisha and Lisa
digital stamps to create a larger 5" x 7"  or A7 card.

These two little girls look like they are having so much fun in the water.  The background paper is a bubble paper from JMC Designs and I thought it was perfect as it is, simple with some extra white highlights on the bubbles.

I resized the image to suit my card size and printed them out before colouring with my Spectrum Noir pencils.

After fussy cutting them out, the two little girls were adhered using foam tape for dimension. I've mat and layered the background paper onto some teal card and also layered the sentiment onto teal card to coordinate. To finish off the card I added some glossy accent bubbles coming out of the snorkel tubes and also to the diving masks.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.

Flip Flop Signs - The beach is my happy place with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week.

The first Friday of the month marks the start of a new Challenge for December over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge or our theme for July is Summer Fun, so as long as you use a digital or stamped image in your project, why not join in the challenge.

Pattie has some wonderful digital stamps in her Etsy Shop pattiescreations and there is also a freebie every month on the blog that you can use in your project if you want to!

For my July project, I chose  to use one of the beautiful Flip Flop Signs
digital stamps to create a DL card (UK size). I wanted to create the look of a window in a cabin at the beach with the sign hanging in the window frame and I have to say I'm really pleased with how this card turned out.

I resized the image to suit my DL base card, printed it out onto alcohol marker friendly card stock before colouring with Promarkers and then fussy cutting out.

Next I created my beach scene by masking off sections and using distress inks to create the sky, the sea and then the sand.

I added a slightly darker ink at the water line to show the wet sand and used a white gel pen to represent the water foam at the edge.  I added some dots of brown and sand coloured pen for the sand detail.

To create my window frame, I used a couple of nesting dies cutting a thin frame from a wood effect card and adhered this to the background scene before hanging my Flip Flip sign in the window.

To finish off the card I added some clear sparkle pen to the flip flop straps.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.

For my June project, I chose  to use the very quirky Silly Birds on a Wire digital stamp to create a larger A7 or 5 " x 7"  landscape card.  I decided I wanted to use a fabulous rainbow paper for the card so used this to choose my colours for today.

I think you cant beat a rainbow to make you smile.

I resized the image to suit my base card, printed it out onto alcohol marker friendly card stock before colouring with Promarkers (see below for colours) to match my background paper.

I added a couple of layers of lime green paper and bright orange cardstock to separate the image from the busy background paper.

To finish off the card I added a few simple highlights with a white gel pen and a scattering of teal confetti around the card.

Bathing Beauties - Best Friends Forever with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week.

The first Friday of the month marks the start of a new Challenge for December over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge or our theme for May is Flowers, so as long as you use a digital or stamped image in your project, why not join in the challenge.

Winners of the challenge will receive 2 digital stamps of your choice from Pattie's shop.

Pattie has some wonderful digital stamps in her Etsy Shop pattiescreations and there is also a freebie every month on the blog that you can use in your project if you want to!

For my May project, I chose  to use the beautiful  Bathing Beauties
digital stamp to create a simple A6 (UK size) landscape card.  Our pool is now ready for the summer and its looking very inviting - still a little too cold for me but I'm certain that JJ will be taking a dip very soon.

Unlike last year where the season seemed to switch from Spring to Summer overnight...the temperatures are gradually increasing and its lovely to have the extra time to adjust and the few bits of rain that we've have too.

We have already been to the beach a few times so far this year and its looking wonderful already but my favourite time has to be when its quiet and peaceful, empty even!
I love to sit and listen to the waves crashing on the shoreline.  That's my inspiration for this card today.

I resized the image to suit my base card, printed it out onto alcohol marker friendly card stock before colouring with Promarkers and then fussy cutting out. Next I created my beach scene by masking off sections and using distress inks to add the clouds, then the sea and then the sand.

I added a slightly darker ink as a shadow below where the girls are sitting.
The waves have been created using a white gel pen and a little white gesso for a bit of texture.  I found a sweet stamp in my stash and stamped the sentiment in distress oxide ink - I wanted it to appear as though written in the sand so very pale and understated

To finish off the card I added a few simple highlights with a white gel pen.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.

Butterflies - On Your Special Day with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week.

The first Friday of the month marks the start of a new Challenge for December over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge or our theme for April is Butterflies or Dragonflies, so as you use a digital or stamped image in your project, why not join in the challenge.

Winners of the challenge will receive 2 digital stamps of your choice from Pattie's shop.

Pattie has some wonderful digital stamps in her Etsy Shop pattiescreations and there is also a freebie every month on the blog that you can use in your project if you want to!

For my April  project, I chose  to use the beautiful  Butterfly 1
digital stamp to create a simple but arty DL card.  For the past couple of weeks as the weather has been improving ( it was 31C yesterday !), there have been loads of beautiful Swallowtail butterflies in the garden and I decided to  use these as my inspiration for the card and colouring today.

I resized the image 3 times to suit a DL card panel, printed it out onto alcohol marker friendly card stock before colouring with Promarkers and then fussy cutting out.  I chose to use slightly different sizes of butterflies on y card and reversed one of them for some added interest.  Whilst not anatomically correct I think these butterflies are a pretty good likeness to the ones in the garden. Next I created my background, using a peice of watercolour card.  I started by using a brush and water to add a wide, wavy strip of water down the centre of the panel of card.

Then I carefully sprinkled 4 different Brushos over the watery strip - you don't need very much of these magical powders at all for a stunning peice of card.  Once I was happy with the amount of pigment I gently spritzed a little more water onto the card to make sure all the powder had been activated and then used my heat gun to dry the panel.                                                                                                                                                         Once completely dry I splattered white ink over the coloured are for little highlights.  Next I matted this coloured panel onto my DL card blank with a piece of black card and then adhered the butterflies onto the card with foam tape for dimension.  The sentiment strip was adhered flat to the card with a small white border top and bottom.

To finish off the card I added a few dark iridescent gems around the design and added clear sparkly to the butterflies.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Best Fishes - Birthday's with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week.

The first Friday of the month marks the start of a new Challenge for December over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge or our theme for March is Birthday's and as long as you use a digital or stamped image in your project, so why not join in the challenge.

Pattie has some wonderful digital stamps in her Etsy Shop pattiescreations and there is also a freebie every month on the blog that you can use in your project if you want to!

For my March project, I chose  to use the Silly Fish in a Bowl digital stamp to create a 6" x 6" card.

Birthday's in March fall across Pisces February 19 - March 20 and Aries March 20 and ends April 18, so I thought these Sill Fish would be perfect for a March birthday.

I resized the image to suit and printed it out, colouring with Promarkers and then fussy cutting out.
The sentiment on my design panel is from the Starfish & Sandcastles collection by Polkadoodles, printed and layered with purple card.

I chose papers to resemble water and adhered these to a Kraft card blank, die cutting a circle in the centre and adding a purple fancy frame around the centre circle.  The main image was mounted into the centre of the card using foam tape for dimension and then I have die cut leaves that look like seaweed to adhere around the frame.  I added a little distress ink to the leaves for interest.

To finish off the card I added a few sequins around the design and glossy accents fishes eyes - they are silly fish after all.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.
