Hello and happy Sunday everyone... Were off out today for a Christmas lunch with the walking group, it's going to be extremely noisy but good food and fun too.  Great for practising our Spanish too.

I'm sure that by now you have seen the brand new release by Polkadoodles, such a cute collection.

The Mabel Collection is a heart-warming range of cute girl character printables designed for card makers, planner lovers and creative crafters.

The collection includes digital stamps, pre-coloured clipart, SVG cutting files, digital papers, sentiments and big-value bundles that are perfect for Christmas holiday cards, New Year celebrations, winter birthdays and year-round celebrations.

Whether you prefer colouring black-and-white digi stamps or using ready-to-go pre-coloured images, these designs are ideal for making thoughtful handmade cards, printable craft stickers, planner stickers, junk journals, scrapbook pages, party décor and small-business craft makes.

There are 5 mini collections for you to choose from  Woodland Winter, Festive Wishes, Starry Celebrations, Cosy Cocoa and Pawsitively Festive but I definitely couldn't choose a favourite.

This is my second card using the new release but as always there's loads more inspiration for you in the gallery on the Polkadoodles website

My Christmas card today uses the Festive Wishes collection.  I coloured Mabel with my Promarkers before die cutting the panel with an arched die.

The card fits a standard 6" x 6" envelope and I've used a couple of the pretty papers from the bundle to layer onto the card and one of the sentiments

The finishing touches for the card was lots of extra sparkle to Mabel, white highlights to the image and some die cut snowflakes in red and gold to coordinate with the papers.

I hope that you like my projects today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Happy Halloween

Hello and happy Sunday everyone... It's the last day of November and I'm actually getting a little bit excited now about Christmas - I think all the work on the campo has made us both a bit shell shocked to its nice having work at a slower pace now and we can hopefully enjoy the trips out, Christmas meals  and the big day itself.

I'm still not quite back into a routine again with my blogging, I keep forgetting completely so apologies but hopefully it will get better - fingers crossed. LOL

My Winter birthday card today uses the Woodland  Winter collection.  I coloured Mabel with my Promarkers before  fussy cutting her out.

The background was created using distress Oxides, blending to create a Wintery sky for the scene before splattering with water and then white ink.

I die cute a couple of snowy hills, one of these I had added the sentiment to before printing, adding a little lilac ink to the top edge and lots of sparkly snow.

The finishing touches for the card was lots of extra sparkle to Mabel's hat and scarf.

I hope that you like my projects today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #815 - Christmas - Sponsored by Lili of the Valley

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day - I hope that week is going well for you.  My goodness we've had so much rain over the last couple of days - everywhere is feeling very soggy and could do with a bit of drying time.

We're starting phase two of our olive picking this week, assuming the rain stops long enough LOL

The first batch of Olives has given us 200 litres of delicious extra Virgin Olive Oil and we'll probably get another 100 litres or so with the remaining trees to pick - not a bad yield at all.

There's a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Christmas' it had to be really has been chosen by Me for team 2 and is being sponsored by Lili of the Valley.

For my card today I decided to create a snowy scene for one of the cutest snowmen -  the Top Hat Snowman

He's definitely such a happy looking chap.... I wonder if he's off to a Christmas party ?

I created a landscape stair step card using a standard A6 card blank and then for the step section I cut a piece of card  10" by 5 3/4" scoring this at 1", 2" 4" and 6"

The step section was then adhered into the inside of the card blank before decorating with a starry sky paper that I've had in my stash for years, for the middle and back panel and then used white card die cut to create snow banks, edging these with blue distress ink

The snowman and the trees were coloured with promarkers and fussy cut out, adhering to the middle panel.  The little star from the image was adhered using a strip of acetate so it floats in the sky above the snowman.

I added a couple of die cut trees to the card, these were coloured with distress ink and then the card was finished off with lots of lovely snowy sparkle.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego 👋

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - Theo Penguin collection - Big Hat Day - Non Traditional Christmas colours - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....So, November is here and I think it's about time we got a little bit more Christmassy...it's not long to go after all and those cards need to be made and posted.

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is Anything with non traditional Christmas or Winter colours.

I decided to use a cute little digital stamp from the Theo Penguin collection for this weeks card making a Winter card that could easily be used at Christmas too!

The main Theo image is  called Big Hat Day and he was, resized and coloured with promarkers before fussy cutting out.

For the background I chose 3 alcohol markers in purple, teal and blue and used these to scribble onto a piece of vellum, adding alcohol to the scribbles to get the colours to blend and flow. It's a really fun technique and gives some fabulous effects.

When I was happy with the overall effect and before the ink was completely dry I applied some electric blue foil to the areas that were still tacky.  I decided I wanted more foil so then splattered foil glue across the panel and once this has gone tacky applied more of the same foil.  It's super shiny and I love how it looks.

The coloured sentiment from the collection was printed and layered onto the pale aqua card after die cutting a stitched wavy border

To finish off the design I added some sparkly aqua blue gems and white pen highlights around the design.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

New Release - Christmas - Photo Strip - Robin with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Tuesday....I hope you are having a good week so far... we've got family staying so having a few days being tourists, trying to keep cool and eating too much as usual ! I'm missing my crafty time so managed to sneak some quiet chilling time to myself today to create a little and catch up with the blog.

Today I'm sharing a cute DL Christmas card  made for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using another of the new Photo booth digital stamp sets.

These cards feature a very funny Robin, its the  Robin Photo Strip set available in the Etsy shop.

I really love all of these Christmas stamps as they are such versatile stamps and can be used all together as one image or you can split them to create 4 separate cards.

I remember seeing a die last year or so that created a strip of film roll so I wanted to create this as I think the Robin looks like he's trying to make a film of him flying in with his Christmas banners.

Just some simple colouring with my promarkers and then I used a small square die to create the notches in each side of the card panel.  Once I had cut all these out I used my black promarker to create the fil strip effect.

Finishing touches were some glittery sparkle on the robins hat and I used a white Posca pen to create the snow in the scene.

I hope that you like my cards today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Digi Choosday - Bella Bear Christmas - Christmas in July - Not a Card - Christmas rosettes with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....My goodness the heat has been so high here now for weeks...I cant really imagine it getting much hotter but its only the first week of July !

The theme set for the DT this week is to create something to celebrate Christmas in July but not a card - hmm....that got me thinking but I'm up for a challenge.

I decided to make a little home décor for Christmas so created 3 little Christmas rosettes

I chose to use the Bella Bear Christmas collection for my sweet and easy project today.

I chose 2 snowflake papers, one is from the Bella Bear Christmas collection and the other is from the Gingerbread Holly collection

I decided to create 3 rosettes, the larger one is made from 2" wide strips of paper, I cut 2 each measuring 2" x 11".  The smaller two rosettes are using 1 1/2" strips, cutting 4 strips measuring 1 1/2" x 11".

Each strip of paper was scored at 1/2" all the way along and concertina folded, then I have joined 2 strips together with wet glue to form loops.  I die cut 4 small circles of card and then used these on the backs of each rosette applying hot glue and holding each in shape while drying.

Once the rosettes were formed I added some cream twine to each so they could be hung from a tree at Christmas but they would make perfect gift tags too for special presents.

Next I chose 2 pre-coloured ephemera images and one of the pre-coloured Bella Bear images, printing each one out twice.

I die cute the image, layered onto die cut card and then used the hot glue to adhere these to the rosettes.

I then fussy cut out the images again and layered these onto the bottom image with foam tape.

The finishing touches were some sparkly stickles on each image and glossy accents onto Bella's nose and the holly berries.

I'm really pleased how these turned out and I'll definitely be making some more for this Christmas.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Digi Choosday - Flowers - Orange - Darling Buds with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a project/card using flowers and the colour orange......not a colour I naturally turn to but I do love how vibrant it is...perfect to get us in the mood for warmer weather.

I decided to create a larger A7 5" x 7" card today.  I chose one of the wonderful papers from the Freddy Fox collection and in my graphics software I colourized this turning the flowers orange before printing out.  I also chose a sentiment from the Darling Buds collection and added this to some teal paper and printed this also along with the pre-coloured Marigold - I love how vibrant she is.

I die cut a circle, offset from the floral paper and layered this over the teal paper adding an orange frame to the circle.  Next I used my Polychromos pencils adding lots of orange to the image to make it more vibrant and then fussy cut her out before adding over the card with foam tape for dimension.

To finish off my project I added some super sparkly glitter to some of the flowers and some orange gems around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Happy Christmas from All of Us- Snowmen - Happy Christmas with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Thursday.... Oh my goodness our Christmas decorations still aren't up - that's a first in I don't know how many years... there's been so much going on and I've not really felt up to it but hopefully over the weekend.

I'm back today with a card project for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using one of the gorgeous sets of digital stamps, this is a cute set of Snowmen from the Etsy shop. and I decided to create a landscape DL card.

The set includes 8 different snowmen and I loved the way they were peeking over a snowy bank.  I combined two images to  create this card, reversing one of the images before printing out and colouring with Promarkers.

The sentiment that I have used is from the Snow Cute set  and I used a piece snowflake of paper from the Frosty Christmas backing paper set.  The frame was die cut from white glitter card and I blended a little blue distress ink over the patterned paper.

Finishing touches were some glitter to the snowmen's hats.
