A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #834 - Dots and/or Stripes - Sponsored by Polkadoodles

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day !

There's a new challenge started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Dots and/or Stripes' has been chosen by Natalie for team 2 and is being sponsored by Polkadoodles

I decided to make an upright easel card, creating my card base from a Kraft card 6 x6" card base.

I decided to start by choosing some pretty striped and dotty papers by Polkadoodles from the Tons of Love collection, using these to mat and layer onto my card base with a burgundy cardstock to contrast.

I then resized the main Helga Hippo image to suit my card printing out onto alcohol marker friendly card before colouring with promarkers.

I die cut lots of hearts from the patterned paper and the card and used these to decorate the card along with lots of burgundy gems.
The finishing touches were some simple white pen highlights around the design.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

New Release - Mice Party - Mouse Fanfare - Happy Birthday - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Sunday - I hope that you are having a lovely weekend and the weather is being kind where you are.

It actually feels like Summer has arrived here after our cold and wet Winter and cooler Spring....the temperatures during the day have changed and its even shorts weather now LOL

The pool is sparkling and looking very inviting but its a tad too cool for me still - I'm such a wuss but ill be in it soon I'm sure.  Its lovely sitting out in the evening and no mosquitoes spotted just yet fingers crossed we don't have a bad year.

I'm back today with another cute card using one of the brand new Party Mice from the Spring release by Lili of the Valley (LOTV)available now from the Etsy shopThere are 12 brand new little mice, all ready to celebrate.

My very clean and simple, one layer birthday card today features the Mouse Fanfare image, coloured with my promarkers....just look at all those sweet little hearts pouring out.

I carefully blended a little distress ink over the panel for the sky and then added two sweet clay hearts to finish off the design.

The sentiment is from the LOTV Everyday Greetings collection.

Finishing touches added of white gel pen highlights and clear sparkle below the little mouse and to his trumpet.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Digi Choosday - SVG Spring is Here - Birthday Card - Pop up Card with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week.  It's the nearly the end of April and I'm not sure where the time is going really.

We seem to have been so busy the past few weeks, working in the garden, celebrating Easter and then with friends staying.  Loads of fun and far better than working in the UK LOL

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to make a Mothers Day or Mothers birthday card.

I decided to create another card using the Spring is Here Digital Print and Cut Files, cutting with my ScanNCut machine which I definitely love using now.

I printed out the file and cut with my Scan N Cut and then used distress inks to add shading to the elements before assembling together.

Next I created the card base, the finished card folds flat and fits an A6 envelope.

From a 12" x 12" piece of yellow card I cut a piece 4 1/2" x 11 1/2" scoring this at 2", 2 1/2", 4 1/2", 5 " & 11"

These score lines created a small flap at the top to create the base card and the folded box section at the base of the front panel.  For the back panel of the card I cut card measuring 6" x 4 1/2", gluing this to the small flap to create a tent fold card base.

For the smaller box section the card piece was 4" x 4 1/2" scored at 1", 1 1/2", 2 1/2" & 3"

I chose a colourful spotty paper from the Springtime smiles collection for the back panels of the card adhering this before adhering the floral elements to create the pop up display card.

I'm not sure what the card is called but I love the style and its a great way to display these pretty flowers and pots.

To finish off the card I added sparkly gems
around the design and a sentiment printed from the Rebel girl collection.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

New Release - Party Animals - Happy Birthday - Birthday Card - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Thursday I hope that you are having a great week.  Its been a weird few days with the weather, we have had a sudden drop in temperature with dark cloudy skies and a little rain.  Thankfully not too much of the Saharan sand (Calima) has arrived with the rain .....a few nicer days are needed now to start warming us up .

I'm back with my final card using the very cute party animals from the March release by Lili of the Valley (LOTV)available from the Etsy shop.

Another fun more masculine birthday card today features the super cute penguin bunny with a scrumptious looking cake.  I'm struggling to decide which is my favourite of these cuties.

There are 4 little characters...perfect for loads of different occasions....I hope you have had a look at them by now - they are so easy to colour in.  Did I ever mention how much I love penguins LOL

I added a sweet LOTV sentiment to the panel below the bunny before printing out and colouring with my promarkers.  I decided to do a little partial die cutting and then adhere the panel above a sparkly water paper that I have in my stash.  In my imagination the penguin is stood on the ice and you can see the water below.

out with an arched die, partially cutting around the bunny ears. I adhered the bunny panel to the card using a low profile foam tape.

Finishing touches of sparkle pen and teal sequins around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #832 - Not Square /rectangular - Sponsored by SheepSki Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day - Well I hope that you all had a lovely Easter.

We've been very busy working in the garden, trying to get things tidied up after the Winter.  The weather has been really mixed for the past couple of weeks, really warm in the sun but quite chilly still in the shade and at night in the house but hoping it settles soon.

We've opened up the pool and its looking lovely and clean after a couple of days cleaning just only 16C so not ready for a swim yet brrr!

We've got a busy couple of weeks coming up too with 2 lots of friends from work in the UK visiting and then a catch up with our friends in the next village planned. It's that time of year LOL!

There's a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Not Square or rectangular' has been chosen by Kitty for team 2 and is being sponsored by Sheepski Designs. The online Etsy store is now sadly closed but the lucky winner will be sent a link to download their chosen 3 images.

I decided to make a heart shaped easel card, creating my card base from a teal cardstock.

I chose to use the Floral Heart image, colouring with my promarkers before cutting out with my ScanNCut.  The image also comes with a sweet little butterfly that I used and also cut out.

The main sentiment is from Polkadoodles from the Darling Buds collection, fussy cut by hand.
I used a stencil to add a little detail to the centre of the heart using a teal distress ink.

The paper I have used on the heart easel base is from my stash and I've added a stamped heart to the easel stopper.

The finishing touches were some matching sequins and clear glitter pen to the butterfly and the violas.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Digi Choosday - Spring Animals - Lucy Monkman - Spring Card - Bunny & Birds - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week.  Wishing you all a very happy April too.

It's nearly time to celebrate Easter, only a couple of days away and that will mark the end of our 2 weeks of Semana Santa here in Spain.

The theme set for the DT this week is to make a Spring Animals themed project or card. Springtime is such a wonderful time as the garden really seems to come alive and the colours and smells from all the blossom around the garden is amazing - all the rain we had earlier on in the year has really helped the plants.

I decided to create a very simple one layer card today using one of the gorgeous quirky designs from the Lucy Monkman collection.  These are just the sweetest images and they really don't need lots of difficult colouring and I think are perfect when you want to create something quick simple and fun.

I chose the Bunny and Birds image, printing it out onto an A6 panel of alcohol marker friendly card.  I also printed out the same image on paper too as I was planning on creating some masks for my design.

I coloured the images with my promarkers and then fussy cut out the masks from paper, adhering these over my coloured images using a repositionable glue.  I added glossy accents to the musical notes rather than cutting masks and allowed this to completely dry.

Next I created the background gently blending distress inks to create a pretty cloudy sky and some hills.

Once I was happy with the background I carefully removed the little masks.

To finish off the card I added little white gel pen highlights around the design.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.
