Cute Creatures - Hi There - Set 1 with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone happy Friday - I hope you have had a great week....Im off to may very relaxing yoga class this morning - just what I need after a very hot week, then tonight we are going walking down on the coast with our local walking group....bound to be loads of fun and extremely noisy LOL.

I'm back today to share another cute and fun A6 card using another of the very cute creatures from the Cute Creatures collection by Lili of the Valley (LOTV). Both sets are available now from the Etsy shop

If you haven't had a look, it's a fantastic collection of 2 sets of images, that you can buy separately or as a complete collection - I know which I would choose as its a fantastic price for what's included. Each set contains 93 cute little creatures or you can get all 186 creatures.

Today for my fun and colourful card I have used the very sweet little dragonfly from set 1 today.  I wanted to have a play for this card so decided to colour the little dragonfly using some fluorescent gel pens that I have had in my crafty stash for a while.  I wanted to create a fun burst of colour as I think that dragonflies are just magical and their colours are amazing. I used grey promarkers to colour his head and a silver metallic pen for the body and antennae.

We have a few different types here where we live and we often see them swooping around the pool , catching the little flying insects then dropping to the pool and skimming along the water.  I also love these little insects as I love the Spanish word for dragonfly...it's libélula and it's such a happy magical word!

To create the colourful rainbow background I have blended distress inks through a paint splatter stencil using a rainbow of colour.

The card was finished off with white gelly pen accents, extra clear sparkle to the dragonfly wings and clear sparkly sequins around the design.

Hopefully my fun colourful card today

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hasta luego 👋

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - This is the beginning of Anything - Back to School card - Teepee card - Graduation/Student Collection - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week so far and that the weather is treating you well.

It was my birthday last Wednesday and we had a fantastic time in Granada (my favourite city), wandering around, lunch at my favourite bar Castanedas and then went to see Sting in Plaza de Toros (the bull ring, very sadly still use for Bull fights but a great venue for music concerts and other extravaganzas ) - it was wonderful and then we were booked into a lovely hotel for the night...good job with all the cocktails and food LOL.

Summer is in full flow but I'm sure if you have children / grandchildren etc then thoughts are already turning to going back to school or starting school for the first time so my card today would be perfect for that.

It's time for the Design Team to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog.  I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to make a Back to school themed card/project so
I decided to use another of the very cute images from the Graduation School Student collection  It's a jam packed collection of images, clip art, sentiments, word art and of course fun papers and perfect for lots of different educational and new job celebrations.

For my Teepee card today I've used the very sweet Cute Girl with Glasses resized this in my graphics software (I'm using the free version of Canva if you are interested !) She was printed out along with 2 of the apples from the digital stamp bundle before colouring in with promarkers and fussy cutting  out by hand.

The card base folds flat to fit into a standard 5" x 7" envelope and is very easy to create.  I created the base from a green cardstock and then used the cute apple paper to cover this.

If you would like to make a teepee car then  would suggest watching one of  Sam Calcott's tutorials on Youtube, here is a link

Next I printed out some of the ephemera and a couple of the sentiments to add to the card, layering everything up for interest.

To finish off my card today I've added white gelly roll pen highlights, scattered lots of gold confetti around the design and glossy accents to the little girls glasses.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego 👋

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #847 - Under the Sea - Collect Beautiful Moments - Sponsored by LeAnn's World 101

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all I hope that you are having a lovely week !

So the heatwave is continuing all this week with consecutive days over 40 and it's very difficult indeed....We have been trying to get up a little earlier to get some jobs done early before it's really unbearable and difficult sleeping even with the Zircon in our bedroom....... I think by the end of this week the temperature is predicted to be 44C so I suspect we will be doing less and less each day.

It's even too warm to sit in the porch with the fan on and trying to persuade the kitties to come indoors is a nightmare !

I'm here today to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog.

This week our challenge is being sponsored by LeAnn's World 101  and the theme chosen by Me for team 2 is Under the Sea....this is where I would like to be with all the heat here in Spain at the moment, I'm definitely melting.

For my card decided I chose to use Ashera , resizing the image to suit my A6 card before printing out on alcohol friendly card and colouring with promarkers.

Next I create the background scene around the image, using several sea themed stamps and distress oxide inks to create my colourful underwater scene.

The card was simply finished with white gelly roll pen highlights, clear sparkle pen to the mermaid and glossy accent bubbles.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card packed with flowers today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

New Release - A Little card full of love - circular card - Fluffy Friends collection with Polkadoodles

Hello and happy Monday everyone... I hope that you had a great weekend and are enjoying the weather...its extremely hot here  and I'm finding it quite difficult to keep cool ...hey ho but this week its my birthday and I'm very excited as we are off to Granada on Wednesday...fingers crossed I have a bit more energy for Wednesday as its going to be a long day LOL

I'm sure that you've seen the brand new digital release by Polkadoodles - called Fluffy Friends and you love it as much as I do - I especially love the kitties.

There are loads of adorable images for you to colour or pre-coloured if you prefer.

I decided for today I would share another card using one of the very cute digital stamps. This is Peaches Cat and Nibbles Mouse again coloured as our special boy
Foxy.

He is such a sweet little boy and definitely doesn't like other big male cats that appear at the house - he's a very timid boy...not sure he would have a little mouse friend though LOL

It's a circular card that I have created with layers of teal card and papers from the collection and a sweet little sentiment.

The finishing touches for the card were sparkly sequins and white gelly roll pen highlights.

I hope that you like my projects today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego 👋

Cute Creatures - Float through life on a wave of happiness - Set 1 with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone happy Friday - I hope you have had a great week.

The very high temperatures are sticking around here and all across Europe at the moment, ranging from 36 to 40C most days locally...manageable for a few hours in the mornings but then by lunch everything has to stop and then its all about finding something to do out of the heat.

There have been loads of wild fires around the town already and they are breaking out every day in Andalusian region - very sad and very scary !

Stay safe everyone!

I'm back today to share a cute and fun A6 underwater card using another of the little sea creatures from the Cute Creatures collection by Lili of the Valley (LOTV). Both sets are available now from the Etsy shop, there's also currently a fabulous 50% discount with eligible orders.

If you haven't had a look yet it's a fantastic collection of 2 sets of images, that you can buy separately or as a complete collection - I know which I would choose as its a fantastic price for what's included.  Each set contains 93 cute little creatures or you can get all 186 creatures.

I have used to sweet looking jelly fish from set 1 today, coloured in my favourite palette after printing out onto alcohol friendly card and cutting out on my ScanNCut.

This critter is definitely a lot cuter than the Mauve Stinger that stung me last year whilst snorkelling LOL

To create the  underwater background I have blended distress inks across a panel of card before using a wave stencil to dry emboss this, blending a darker ink over the raised areas.

I adhered strips of watery looking paper at then sides of the embossed panel and then added a stamped sentiment at the bottom of the card, finishing it off with white gelly pen accents and sparkly gems.

Hopefully my fun underwater card will make you feel a little cooler today

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hasta luego 👋

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - Merry Christmas - Christmas in July - Criss Cross Star card - Gingerbread Cookie collection - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week so far....July is here and its proving to be very hot so far this year here in Spain after our cold wet winter.

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to make a Christmas in July themed card/project.  It always feels very strange making Christmas cards when its so hot but it's good to get ahead...LOL

I decided today to use the super sweet Gingerbread Cookie collection for my Criss Cross Star card today.

The card is 6" x 6" in size and I have simply cut away the left and right corners from a square Kraft card blank.

Next I chose papers from the collection to decorate the front and inside of the card and also the 2 small triangles that were cut from the card blank.

The triangles were then adhered to the main card on the front to create a star shape.  I also added an extra strip of card at the bottom of the points for extra support although this is optional.

The little Gingerbread girl was coloured with promarkers before fussy cutting out along with some of the pre-coloured clipart which was used to decorate the card, along with one of the sentiments.

To finish off my card today I've added glossy accents to the gingerbreads icing and gold sparkle pen to the baubles.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego 👋

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #845 - Animals - Just me saying hello - Sponsored by DisDigiStamps

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all I hope that you are having a lovely week !

So were having another heatwave and its taking its toll on me already - I'm feeling exhausted most of the time and been sickly too.... I definitely need to stay in the cool as much as I can this week.

I'm here today to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog.

This week our challenge is being sponsored by Dis Digi Stamps and the theme chosen by Nat for team 2 is Animals.

Di has recently released some new digital stamps on her  Etsy shop and I decided to treat myself to one from the new collection as soon as I saw the kitties...perfect too for today's challenge.

I decided to create a really sweet one layer card, resizing the image to suit my A6 card before printing out on alcohol friendly card and colouring with promarkers.  Next I die cut an arch from a piece of scrap paper and positioned this over the image so I could stencil a design over the image leaving the centre arch clear.

I added a little grey ink to the inside of the arch too to emphasise the design.

The sentiment was stamped onto a strip of white card, cutting the ends into tails before adhering to the card with foam tape.

The card was simply finished with white gelly roll pen highlights, clear sparkle pen to the goldfish bowl and some clear sparkly gems.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card packed with flowers today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego 👋
