Cute Creatures - Sending Paper Hugs - Peacock - Set 1 with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone happy Friday - The last day of July is here and I hope you have had a great month.

I'm off to my very relaxing yoga class this morning and then we are going to Granada for the day, shopping, eating and to watch the new Spiderman film and cool off a little LOL.

I'm back today to share another cute and fun A6 card using another of the very cute creatures from the Cute Creatures collection by Lili of the Valley (LOTV). Both sets are available now from the Etsy shop

If you haven't had a look, it's a fantastic collection of 2 sets of images, that you can buy separately or as a complete collection - I know which I would choose as its a fantastic price for what's included. Each set contains 93 cute little creatures or you can get all 186 creatures.

Today for my fun and colourful card I have used the gorgeous little peacock from set 1.

I resized the little peacock for a landscape A6 card printing out and colouring with my promarkers before fussy cutting out.

Next I created an embossed background panel.  Ive had the peacock feather embossing folder in my stash for many many years LOL so cut a panel of white card and then inked the raised feathers with distress oxide ink before running through my cutting machine.  I wanted to add a little more colour so added more green ink and passed the folder through the machine a second time.  Next I used a deep blue acrylic paint and my brayer to add the dark paint over the panel, carefully applying a thin layer and building up the coverage slowly so not to fill the green feathers with pain. I love the matt texture this gives to the card.

I created a split panel landscape card, cutting the front panel of the card adding the embossed panel to the top with a strip of acetate in the middle.

The sentiment sticker was added to the acetate, so it appears to flow and the coloured peacock was adhered across the two panels.

To finish off the card I have added gold confetti, white a metallic gold gel pen and clear sparkle pen.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #826 - Spring Flowers - Sponsored by Uniko Stamps

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day - it feels like ages since I've updated my blog, this last few weeks have been awful with my labyrinthitis so no crafting, no reading and definitely no work on the computer.  Things are improving and my new hearing aid is helping with the tinnitus but I'm still struggling to look down for very long.... fingers crossed it stops soon

Anyway - Spring is in the air and the sun is shining so that's definitely a positive - it just makes everyone feel so much better after all the horrid winds and heavy rainfall we've had.

Today I'm here to let you know that there's a new week long challenge on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in as there is a prize up for grabs.

This week we are being sponsored by Uniko Stamps and our theme is very simple - Spring Flowers and is being hosted by Me for Team 2.

As Spring flowers are popping up around the garden I decided today to use stamps from Lili Of The Valley LOTV  I used the Flower Alphabet set for the word Spring and then for the smaller Wishes the Everyday Greetings set, colouring these with my Promarkers before cutting out on my ScanNCut.

I created a split DL card, using pretty Spring floral paper for the design and adhering the large letters across the gap in the panel.

The finishing touches were some sparkly flower sequins and glossy accents to some of the little flowers.

Wishing you all a wonderful week!

I hope that you join in with the challenge as don't forget there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

New Release - Gingerbread Cookie - Hot Chocolate Cocoa with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Sunday I hope that your having a good weekend...we've had loads of wonderful rain the past couple of days and we can even see the first snow of the year on the mountains behind the house.

In my efforts to get my Christmas cards ready to be sent out this year I've used the fabulous new Gingerbread Cookie collection for my project today... if you haven't seen it yet I'm certain you will love it.

There are 10 different kits to choose from as well as 3D templates and loads of cooking themed SVGs if you use an electronic cutting machine. As well as the small kits which are excellent value you can also buy individual digital stamps.... I think the hardest part will be to choose what you need.

There's loads of inspiration from the Polkadoodles Design team on the website in the gallery if you are looking for some ideas

Today I'm sharing a very sweet and extremely easy to create split panel or split front  A6 (UK size) card.

To create this simple card I've started off by creating a tent fold white card base and then on the front panel cut across the card at 2 1/2", for the bottom section of the card I have cut a piece of the waste card removed from the card base that measures 1 1/2"

I have used the Sweet Gingerbread kit  to create this card choosing 2 of the papers, the very cute digital stamp and I have added one of the sentiments into the inside of the card with a fun surprise pop up mechanism.

I resized the main image, printing out onto alcohol marker friendly card before colouring with my promarkers and then fussy cutting out.

The digital stamp image was adhered to the card, spanning the missing section of the card to create this fun design.

The finishing touches were some glossy accents, white gelly roll pen highlights and a scattering of teal confetti around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from the new Gingerbread Cookie collection by Polkadoodles.

A Good Cake and A Great Friend with Polkadoodles

Happy Tuesday everyone - it's my favourite day of the week as today is Digi Choosday over at Polkadoodles and the start of a new challenge over on the blog.

I'm back today with my Polkadoodles Design Team project for the Digi Choosday Tuesday Challenge

The theme for the DT this week is Friendship so I decided to use the Baked you a Cake digital stamp from the Winnie Celebrations 3 collection.

I've made a simple split panel card for today and the papers are taken from the Winnie Special Moments collection  The split panel card design gives the opportunity to use more of the beautiful papers on the inside of the card to and I've also added an additional panel and sentiment inside.

I coloured Winnie using my Promarkers (see below) and decided to stencil a little tumbled glass distress ink using the Heavenly Circles Creative Stencil in the background.

With the theme of friendship I couldn't think of anything I would love to do more than spend time with my best friend having cake and a good catch up so the sentiment I chose I think is just perfect and is from the Coffee and Cake collection.

The main panel, sentiment frame and insert panel were made using dies from Lisa Horton Crafts and I've also used some of the die cut offcuts to decorate the card.

I hope that you like my card today ๐ŸŒž
