Gingerbread with Mint Choc Chip Ice cream Sundae

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you have had a lovely week and are ready for a great weekend!  We're off to the Feria today but before we set off into town I wanted to share my latest card created for Last Minute Manda

I absolutely love ice cream - who doesn't?.... but one of my favourite flavours is Mint Chocolate Chip and my sweet gingerbread boy today has a huge dish full of it.

It's still quite warm here during the daytime, colder at night, so I wonder if the ice cream shop here in town will be open today hmm I do hope so ๐Ÿคž…….what flavour would you choose ?

This is another cute image from the  Autumn Sweets Collection available in the new Last Minute Manda shop.

One of the best things about designing cards with digital stamps is being able to resize the image to suit that size of card that you are making so I have resized this image, to suit a smaller A6 sized card, before colouring in with my Promarkers and then fussy cutting by hand.

The papers that I have used are a set  that I have had for a while from Dovecraft but I thought that the colours worked well with my little gingerbread boy.

The large sentiment is a die from Craftwork cards that I have cut in Kraft card and white card, layered up with an offset to create a drop shadow.

I hope that you like todays card and now I'm off to enjoy the Feria - have a wonderful day.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Fairy tale Princess Chloe from Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone - its Tuesday (I think ๐Ÿ˜† !)

I hope that you are having a good week so far - I was in our town yesterday and it's all getting very exciting as we are gearing up for our Feria which officially starts on Wednesday afternoon.

A large marquee was being installed in the main car park and crocheted fan bunting has been installed in the main street...it's a beautiful colourful sight and there was a definitive excited thrum from visitors and locals alike everywhere I went.

Its going to be our first proper Feria for 3 years - we had a small scaled down version last year but it looks like this years is going to be wonderful and it will last for 5 days!

Lots of food, drinks, processions, dancing and music....Happy times

Before the events start tomorrow I thought I would share a card that I've made especially for a challenge over on the Friends of Pink Gem Designs Facebook group

The challenge was to create a beautiful project using a freebie digital stamp given to all the group members and this is what I have created.

She is my little Moorish Princess which I have coloured using my Promarkers (see below) and teamed her with some beautiful papers form Craftwork Cards - I thought they were perfect and remind me of the beautiful Alhambra Palace.

The Alpujarras - where we live was one of the last areas in Spain to be inhabited by the Moors who built the Alhambra and taught the locals the Agricultural methods that are still used today....even the water channels or acequias  that we rely on for irrigation of the land were built by the Moors.

We are so lucky to live just a short drive away from this breathtaking historical palace and I thought that Chloe looked liked one of the Princesses from the Tales of the Alhambra book by Washington Irving - its a wonderfully written magical book if you haven't read it.

There is still time to join in the Challenge so why not head over to the Facebook group and become a member of the group - there are so many beautiful digital stamps in the PinkGemDesigns shop too over on Etsy

I hope that you like my card today ๐ŸŒž

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Gingerbread and Pumpkin Spiced Latte with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Saturday and a wonderful weekend!

Yesterday we spent the morning picking our almonds so Autumn has definitely arrived here in Spain...its not a very high tech activity but it is hard work - basically we put huge nets on the ground around a tree and then my hubby uses a 3 metre long pole to carefully bash the branches of the tree...in theory all the lovely almonds fall onto the nets and we then collect them and store them ready to be shelled and eaten...yummy

We've good quite a good crop this year especially considering how little rain we have had during the year.  We generally leave the almonds on an old sheet on the patio in the sunshine to dry out and then walk all over them LoL ๐Ÿ˜… - this helps to remove any stubborn outer husks that haven't already fallen off.

Today I am sharing my latest DT make for Last minute Manda the other things I love about Autumn are the falling leaves and gingerbread  biscuits which is something I'm going to have a go making this year.

To create this cute card I've used one of the yummy Gingerbread girls from the Autumn Sweets Collection

One thing I miss from the U.K. was being able to go to Costa coffee for a delicious Pumpkin Spiced Latte - one of my favourite Autumn flavours.

I resized the gingerbread girl using my graphics software to suit a smaller A6 card and then coloured her with my Promarkers

I'm really enjoying using all of the Autumn colours at the moment on my cards.

The background leafy paper that I've used is an older paper that I found in my stash but I love how it matches the main image.

The faux aperture  on the front panel was cut using the Nested Torn Edge Circle dies from Lisa Horton Crafts and I've used the Hugs Included sentiment stamp from one of my new stamp sets by Woodware designed by Francoise Read.  I thought it was perfect as drinking a spiced latte always felt to me like a warm and lovely hug in a cup.

I hope that you like my card today ๐ŸŒž

A Good Cake and A Great Friend with Polkadoodles

Happy Tuesday everyone - it's my favourite day of the week as today is Digi Choosday over at Polkadoodles and the start of a new challenge over on the blog.

I'm back today with my Polkadoodles Design Team project for the Digi Choosday Tuesday Challenge

The theme for the DT this week is Friendship so I decided to use the Baked you a Cake digital stamp from the Winnie Celebrations 3 collection.

I've made a simple split panel card for today and the papers are taken from the Winnie Special Moments collection  The split panel card design gives the opportunity to use more of the beautiful papers on the inside of the card to and I've also added an additional panel and sentiment inside.

I coloured Winnie using my Promarkers (see below) and decided to stencil a little tumbled glass distress ink using the Heavenly Circles Creative Stencil in the background.

With the theme of friendship I couldn't think of anything I would love to do more than spend time with my best friend having cake and a good catch up so the sentiment I chose I think is just perfect and is from the Coffee and Cake collection.

The main panel, sentiment frame and insert panel were made using dies from Lisa Horton Crafts and I've also used some of the die cut offcuts to decorate the card.

I hope that you like my card today ๐ŸŒž

Squirrel and pumpkins with Last Minute Manda

Happy Saturday everyone ! I hope that you have had a good week and have a lovely weekend ahead planned.

Today I am sharing my latest DT make for Last minute Manda and I've decided to stick with the Autumn theme for todays card...must be something in the air!

To create this cute and very simple shaker card I've used the Autumn Friends collection

I coloured all of the elements with my Promarkers for this card - even the background which I don't normally do but its good to try new things and learn new techniques.

I found some mulberry paper leaves that I have in my stash for far too many years probably around 25!...I bought them from a shop in the UK Lakeland Plastics when they used to have a craft section which has sadly long gone..... its about time they finally got used.

To make them more autumnal, I've used distress inks blended over the tope and am really pleased with the end result as it adds a lovely texture to the scene.

I hope that you like my card today ๐ŸŒž

Thank you flowers from Bentley with Last Minute Manda

Happy Sunday everyone I hope that your weekend is going well.

Its still very hot here and its been around 35C a few times this week but the evenings are definitely cooling off a little quicker, the mornings are feeling fresher for a little longer and fingers crossed we may see some rain soon.

The other signs that Summer is coming to an end are the changing colours around our garden and on the surrounding mountains as the leaves start to take on the autumn colours.

Today I am sharing my latest DT make for Last minute Manda.

For my first Autumnal card of the year I've used Bentley with some flowers from the Bentley Rain or Shine collection.

I love this cute little bear and he's perfect for so many different occasions - today I decided to make a thank you card.

The green leafy paper that I have used in the background to form a window and the small Thankyou sentiment are from the Craftwork Cards Hedgerow collection

Behind the aperture I have created some rolling hills and a cloudy sky stencilled using distress inks and stencils from Lawn Fawn.

The branches were cut using dies from Lisa Horton Crafts and the leaves

I created an alcohol ink panel some time ago using a piece of glossy photo paper ( I couldn't find my Yupo paper but this worked really well) and thought this would be perfect to use to die cut leaves using a Crafters Companion leaf die for the branch

I hope that you like my card today ๐ŸŒž
