New Release - Autumn Girls - Autumn Wishes - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Saturday and a great weekend ahead......

I'm back today with another Autumn has card using one of the brand new Autumn Girls stamps by Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

There are 10 absolutely gorgeous Autumn girls available in the Etsy shop as a full set or you can buy the individual stamps if you prefer.

For my card today I've used the gorgeous Reading Girl coloured with my promarkers.  These gorgeous images don't really need much so I used distress inks blended across the sky background.

The sentiment I have used is from the Autumn Sentiments set  simply nestled into the design.

I decided to die cut an arched frame for the little scene, using a pretty paper from the secret garden collection.  After cutting the arch away, I blended orange ink around the paper then splattered it with copper watercolour paint.

I ink smooshed a couple of strips of watercolour card using orange, brown and green distress ink and then once dried, die cut lots of leaves to scatter at the bottom of the card.

Finishing touches were some champagne confetti and white gelly roll pen highlights.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

World Cardmaking Day - Autumn Crafting - Freddy Fox collection with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Saturday... its also World Card Making day too and I hope that you are joining in with the fun and creating something today.

It might be the 4th October but its a beautiful sunny Autumnal day here today and the temperature is expected to climb to 30C which is lovely but a little unexpected.

I decided to share a couple of Autumn cards I made recently using the Ephemera bundle from the fantastic Freddy Freddy Fox collection  to celebrate the colours of Autumn.

The ephemera set is jam packed with images for you to colour or comes with pre-coloured images too if you prefer not to colour.

For the first card I chose a couple of the butterflies from the bundle, colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.  For the simply block background I used some pieces of masking tape to create four rectangles on the panel and then used distress oxides to blend colour over these from light to dark - I love the striking look and its such a simple but effective design.

To create the shadow behind the butterflies I printed the two butterflies onto the base panel before inking and then simply coloured them in with a black marker pen before adhering the butterflies on top.

The sentiment, from the collection was added to the centre of the card before printing too and I applied rose gold foil using my Minc.  The panel was then layered onto my card blank with a mat of black glitter card.

To finish off this simple design I added some rose gold confetti around the the card.

For my second Autumn card I decided to create a fun inky background so on a piece of vellum I scribbles some alcohol markers in patches and then added a little alcohol to this, using my Tim Holtz blower to move the ink around, adding more colour until I was happy with the overall effect.  Once dried I added a splatter of wet glue on the panel and when the glue was tacky I applied gold foil to the splatter - it give a very delicate look but I think this works well with the vellum.

For the main image I chose the bird house with sunflowers and a couple of the little crows from the ephemera bundle, colouring these in again with my promarkers before fussy cutting out and adding to my card.

I printed out one of the sentiments from the collection and adhered this across the bottom of the card to give a ground for my design to sit on.

To finish off the design I added white gelly roll pen highlights around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

A Passion for Markers BlogSpot #767 - Fall or Winter - Sponsored by Colour of Love

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Tuesday and a wonderful week!

Well we have started pruning the olive trees... OK, I have to admit its been John pruning so far as I haven't felt too good lately with one thing and another but I'm starting to have a bit more energy so hoping to get outside this morning to help.

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Fall or Winter' has been chosen by Kitty for team 2 and is being sponsored by Colour of Love

For my card today I chose to use a sweet digital image called Little Pumpkin Fairy  I'm probably a little late with an Autumn or Fall card in some parts but its definitely Autumnal here during the day time with lovely sunshine to work in...definitely more Wintery at night though...brr

But its Thanksgiving in the USA on 28th November so perfect timing for any of my US friends, it can be a virtual card for them !

This is a simple A6 card. The image was resized to suit the card and printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock  before being coloured with my Promarkers.

I then adhered the entire panel to a card blank behind an arched frame cut from green patterned paper that was left over from an earlier project.

Once finished I added some clear sparkle to the little fairies wings and a very simple strip sentiment.  I was going to add a few extra die cut leaves to the design but I decided less is more as its such a pretty image on its own.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Digi Choosday - Freddy Fox - Welcome Autumn With Friends Freddy with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday. It's September and Autumn is now definitely on it's way... the leaves are turning and falling fast after out hot long Summer.

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create an Autumn or Halloween themed card so I chose Autumn as the colours around the garden and the mountains are some of my favourites.

I thought that today I would share a card using the fabulous and very cute Freddy Fox release.

Its a very simple bridge fold card that fits into a standard 6" x 6" envelope.  I have used 3 papers from the collection to decorate the panels and the bridge section.  The sweet image of Freddy with his friend was resized to suit the card before printing on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.

I also printed some of the pre-coloured ephemera from the collection and used this to decorate the card, adding one of the little bees on a strip of acetate so he flies over the heads of Freddy and his friend.  The sentiment adhered to the back of the card has also been printed from the collection and cut into a simple banner.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from the new Freddy the Fox Collection by
 Polkadoodles.

Autumn /Fall card - Freddy Fox - Winter Latte Freddy - Digi Choosday with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday. It's still the middle of Summer here and I hope that you Summer weather is treating you ok too....I hate to say it but Autumn won't be that far away now.

I think as crafters sometimes we are chasing the next season but I suppose it takes time for us to make cards....

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create an Autumn of Fall themed card
.

The colours on the mountain sides and in the forests are stunning in the Autumn here so I thought that today I would share a card using the Freddy Fox release.

This is a pop up frame card that I've made using the gorgeous digital stamp Winter Latte

The pop up frame cards are probably my favourite style and this is a 6" x 6" card.  They are really easy to make and there are some fabulous instructions by Jennifer McGuire if you would like to give it a go.

Once you've made one, its really easy to alter the dimensions to suit the card size that you want to create.

There is a great tutorial on YouTube tutorial by Jennifer McGuire, showing how to make these make a popup up frame cards.   If you haven't seen the video here is the link.

I planned on cutting out the centre of the  wreath design and then popping up my focal image in the centre of the card panel, using a small card pop up element. Basically a strip of card that is folded and adhered to the card that pops up but folds flat too.

I decided to create a floral wreath for my frame so started by adding elements from the ephemera bundle to create a wreath shape onto one of the gorgeous papers from the collection in my graphics software, before printing this out, I copied  some of the flower elements so I could fussy cut these out for my design.

I coloured the Freddy Fox image using Promarkers and then fussy cut him out mounting him in the centre of the aperture.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from for Polkadoodles.

Pumpkin Spice and All Things Nice - GDT Autumn Spice Card with JMC Designs

Hello everyone   hope that you have are having lovely day today.

Its Monday so that means time for me to post another project on the Guest Design Team for JMC Designs

Today I'm here to share an aperture card that I've made using one of the gorgeous girls from the digital Autumn Allspice Collection  This gorgeous girl is Pumpkin Spice.

The extra pumpkins and the sentiment are also from the Autumn Allspice Collection

It's a 6" x 6" card with lots of layers of Kraft card and orange mulberry paper and an aperture

For the background of the card, I have used some gorgeous orange mulberry paper from my crafty hoard - its really pretty as it has orange and blue fibres embedded within it - so I decided to use this as my colour palette.  I added extra splashes of blue metallic, gold and orange watercolour paint to the mulberry paper.
I used several nesting circle dies to cut out the aperture and the different circles for my card.

Once the main image and the pumpkins were coloured in with my Promarkers (see below for the colours), I fussy cut them out and adhered them to my card.

I blended a little distress ink over the sentiment, added some doodling around the edge of the card and then finished off with some orange sparkly sequins.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Eat Lots of Cake - Autumn Sweets with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Friday.......I hope that you've had a lovely week!

We've had another busy week and I have to say that I'm starting to find all the mess and noise etc very unsettling, work is going really well but I want my house back now, a little peace and quiet and I need some proper afternoon siestas!

We've had a day out and lunch at one of the nearby beaches with friends and were out tomorrow for lunch with more friends so I shouldn't complain!

On my blog today I have another Autumnal card for Last minute Manda using another cutie from the Autumn Sweets Collection

When we went to France in May this year we treated ourselves to some Macarons or French Macaroons, Saint-ร‰milion is renowned for them and oh my goodness they were delicious - very expensive but worth the treat.  I'm determined that once all the work is done and things are back to normal and dust free that I will have a go at making them.

Most of the information refers to them originating in France in a monastery in the 8th Century but they made it here to Andalucรญa or al-Andalus (where I live) in the early 11th Century.

I chose this digital as it reminded me of our trip this year and how much I loved them.

I resized the gingerbread girl in my graphics software for a landscape A6 card and then coloured her with my Promarkers before fussy cutting out and adhering to the card.

I also decided to use the October sketch from BYSHC too, using up more of my crafty hoard of papers.  Love this layout with these vibrant autumnal papers.

The simple sentiment has been stamped and heat embossed in white, added to the design, following the sketch

I finished off my card today with some simple gold confetti, a few highlights of white gel pen and some clear sparkle over the Macarons.

Don't forget about the fun challenge currently taking place in the Last Minute Manda Facebook group!  to create a Halloween or Fall card/ project - the winner will be able to choose 3 stamp sets of their choice.

The only rule is you must use one of the images from Last Minute Manda in your project - if you don't have any yet there are some freebies in the Facebook group ! or you can head over to the Last Minute Manda Store

I just wanted to say Happy Fall with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Friday.......I hope that you've had a lovely week!

We've had another busy week, work is progressing well in the bathroom and the Craft room/study ceiling and new electrics and spotlights are in .... my goodness I cant believe the difference some proper lights makes.

It's going to make a huge difference crafting in there over the darker Winter months.

Still a few weeks to go before we can start to move things back in but I can start to see the light at the end of the very dusty and noisy tunnel now.

We have now lived here in our little spot of paradise for 6 years - time has flown by so we have treated ourselves to a night in Granada, staying last night in a wonderfully luxurious 5 star hotel. I could definitely get used to it!

On my blog today I have another Autumnal card for Last minute Manda with a cute little Autumn card using this sweet little Gingerbread boy from the Autumn Sweets Collection

One of my favourite Winter drinks in the UK was a Pumpkin spiced Latte although I didn't have all the extras like cream and marshmallows.

I resized the gingerbread boy in my graphics software for an A6 card and then coloured him with my Promarkers before fussy cutting out and adhering to the card.

The background paper again is another oldie that I found in my stash but I love the leaves and the colours and decided just some simple mat and layering with a dark brown cardstock was all that was needed.

It's  difficult to see in the photo but i used a dotty embossing folder to add a little texture to the circle of card that the gingerbread is adhered to.

The simple sentiment has been stamped and heat embossed in white, added to the top of the design.

I finished off my card today with some simple gold confetti and a few highlights of white gel pen.

Don't forget about the fun challenge currently taking place in the Last Minute Manda Facebook group!  to create a Halloween or Fall card/ project - the winner will be able to choose 3 stamp sets of their choice.
