This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Colour of Love and our theme of 'Favourite colours' this week was chosen for team 2 by the lovely Karen.

I chose to use a really sweet image called Pretty Possum Sunflowers and have created a simple A7 5" x7" card.

Out challenge theme is Favourite colours but I have lots and it changes from week to week.  I love different and striking colour combinations, one of my favourites being teal and yellow gold.

I resized the image to suit my card blank and then printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring with my promarkers.  The sentiment was stamped onto the panel with Versafine Clair ink

The finishing touches for my card today were teal sequins, white gelly roll pen highlights and clear sparkle to the leaves.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Digi Choosday - Gnome Trick or Treat collection - Spiders - pop up frame card - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....Its October 1st already and after a fantastic Feria in our town thoughts are now turning to the Autumn..... Schools return after the long hot holidays and classes get back to normal.

I'm hoping to get a place in the Pilates class but its always such a popular class and places are limited - fingers crossed !

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is Spiders !!! Yuck ...I'm definitely not a fan at all of spiders...even little ones ...I'm actually not sure what I dislike the most spiders or snakes...its a tough one but this is still a cute card even with the spiders LOL

Anyway I always like a challenge so I decided to use the Gnome Trick or Treat collection for spooky spider card today.... as you already know I don't make lots of Halloween cards but this was fun to create and I'm sure it will be loved by it's recipient.

I chose the Spider Web Gnome and decided to create a pop up frame card so that the gnome could hang from the spiders web on the card.

I resized the main focal image to fit my 6" x 6" card and added a sentiment at the bottom of my square panel before printing out on alcohol marker friendly cardstock and colouring with promarkers. I coloured the pumpkin eyes and mouth with a fluorescent gelly roll pen.

I then used a square die to partially cut an aperture on the panel and then fussy cut out the image of the gnome so he is suspended from the cobweb.

Next I added grey distress ink over the frame and create some little pop up hinges from black card.

I chose a cobweb and spider paper from the Boo Halloween collection, adhering a panel to the base of my card blank.  Once dry I then adhered the cut out panel to the card .

I love these pop up frame cards as they give loads of dimension but fold flat for posting.

To finish off the design I added glossy accents, white gelly roll pen highlights and some black sparkly gems around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #807 - Anything floral - Sponsored by SheepSki Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day - So after a wonderful holiday in Mallorca I'm back and raring to go !  Ha Ha Ha ....not quite!, I've not quite got my crafty mojo back - its probably sunning itself on holiday still! but hopefully it will return soon as I have lots of new goodies to play with.

So to get things moving there's a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Anything floral' has been chosen by Elaine for team 2 and is being sponsored by Sheepski Designs. The online Etsy store is now sadly closed but the lucky winner will be sent a link to download their chosen 3 images.

If you know me then you know I love strong vibrant colours but I decided to create a more delicate looking card for today and chose to use this fabulous Daisy Panel image.

We have some beautiful daisy type flowers in our garden in some striking vibrant colours...I always thought they were called Livingstone Daisies or Mesembryanthemums but I'm not so sure now so I will have to do a bit of research.  There are some white ones too which have a hint of shocking pink at the centre so that's my inspiration for today.

The image was resized to suit the DL card, printing onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring  with my Promarkers.  I also printed out 5 extra flowers and fussy cut these out, layering up with foam squares for dimension.

To create the background I used a pale teal green promarker around the flowers, blending out to white. Then I chose a couple of distress inks and blended these into the design.   I splattered some distress ink around the flowers and the finishing touches were some clear drops around the flowers.

The sentiment was printed directly onto the panel.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Digi Choosday - Hocus Pocus collection - Halloween Pumpkins - Happy Halloween card - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....We're currently away on holiday in Mallorca (last day today) so I hope my blog has posted ok....fingers crossed.

It's strange to be thinking about Halloween whilst we are enjoying the sea and sun on an absolutely gorgeous little Spanish island.... it's so easy and quick for us to get here too - this time we flew from Granada airport which is so much nicer and smaller than Malaga.

It'll be our town Feria soon too so lots of fun to come !

The theme set for the DT this week is Halloween Pumpkins......loved carving a pumpkin when we lived in the UK to put outside the front door but its not really a big celebration here and the children only really Trick or Trick within the little town itself.... thankfully so we don't have to buy loads of sweets !

I reached for the Hocus Pocus collection again (one of my favourite spooky sets I think) and selected the different scary pumpkins from a couple of the sets in the collection.

On my computer I resized them to suite a landscape DL card and merged together to create a row of scary pumpkins before printing them out and colouring with my promarkers.  For the eyes and mouths I've used a couple of fluorescent gel pens to give the look of scary glowing faces - it would be great with glow in the dark pens .....hmm I must have a look for some.

I also printed out one of the wonderful sentiments from the Ghastly Ghosts set onto a DL panel.  Next I used 5 distress inks to create my spooky Halloween background and finally foiled the sentiment in gold.

The row of pumpkins was added to my card and I've finished it off with a white gel pen and some black gems.

It's the perfect collection of 3 sets of digital stamps, sentiments and ephemera and comes in black and white images for you to colour but also in pre-coloured format...there's Autumn Fall Halloween Treat, Ghastly Ghosts and Hocus Pocus Witches.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Digi Choosday - Hocus Pocus collection - Halloween is coming - Witch & Kitty card - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....Its September already and were already starting to think about Autumn and Halloween...sad really as the Summer months go by so fast although Ill be glad for the lower temperatures to come.

The theme set for the DT this week is Halloween / Autumn is coming
so I decided to use the Hocus Pocus collection for my shaped card today.... I don't make lots of Halloween cards but this was fun to create.

It's the perfect collection of digital stamps, sentiments and ephemera and comes in black and white images for you to colour but also in pre-coloured format.

I wanted to create the look of a spiders web for my card so used some of my nesting dies to create a shaped card cutting from black card.  Next I cut a slightly smaller piece of white card  and then used the fabulous Funky Vortex stencil to create my swirling pattern using black, orange, lime green and purple distress inks.  Once I was happy with the depth of colour, I used a couple of Posca pens to add little dots to the swirls to look like magic swirling into the centre of the design.

For some extra interest I die cut two smaller frames from black card and adhered these over the panel to give the look of a cobweb.

For the main focal image I merged the little witch in the pumpkin and the kitty in the pumpkin together before printing out on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.

I adhered the witch and kitty to the shaped card base using foam tape for dimension along with one of the sentiments from the collection.

To finish off the design I added white gelly roll pen highlights and some purple confetti around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #803 - Special Occasions - Sponsored by All Dressed Up

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope you are all well and the week has started well.

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by All Dressed Up stamps and our theme of 'Special Occasions' this week was chosen for team 2 by Natalie...

I chose to use a really sweet image called Over the Moon

I have created a simple 6" x 6" A6 tent fold card and then added a layer of white card and a layer of pretty paper.  I used a circle die to cut an aperture on the paper and also to cut a thin frame from sparkly silver card.

I resized the image to suit my card blank so it will sit in the window and then printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring with my Promarkers.

I wanted it to look like the couples legs were dangling over the edge of the moon so I carefully fussy cut the bottom of the image and then adhered the panel behind the window with the legs on the outside.

To add some extra sparkly I added little dots of gilding paste mixture to the paper panel and then once ready applied silver foil, creating lots of extra little stars.

The sentiment was printed out and foiled in silver too after blending purple and blue ink to coordinate with the paper.

I think this wold be the perfect card to celebrate an engagement, wedding or anniversary

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Digi Choosday - Work & Play painter bundle - new - Painter / decorator - Boy - DIY themed card with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....x

The theme set for the DT this week is to create something with a DIY/Gardening theme so I decided to use the Work & Play decorating bundle for my card today....it's the perfect digi bundle, with papers, sentiments, ephemera and digital character images.

I used the sweet decorator boy for my card resizing him to fit my larger 5" x 7" A7 card.  I wanted the card to look like he was in a room hanging wallpaper.

I started by choosing one of the sentiments from the collection and added this to the top left corner of a panel of card, I used 3 distress inks to swipe a littles ink over the corner, I think it kind of looks like brush marks.  The main image was printed out onto alcohol marker friendly card and coloured with promarkers before fussy cutting out.

Next I cut 3 strips of patterned paper from the collection and adhered these to the white sentiment panel, I left 2 pieces of the wallpaper unglued at the top and then rolled these so it looks like the wallpaper is falling off the walls. I'm sure we've all had moments like these !

I cut a strip of flooring from a paper pad, to look like the skirting board.

To finish off the design I printed out a couple of the extra paint cans and brushes, fussy cutting these out and adding to the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Digi Choosday - Bella Bear Christmas - Christmas in July - Not a Card - Christmas rosettes with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....My goodness the heat has been so high here now for weeks...I cant really imagine it getting much hotter but its only the first week of July !

The theme set for the DT this week is to create something to celebrate Christmas in July but not a card - hmm....that got me thinking but I'm up for a challenge.

I decided to make a little home dรฉcor for Christmas so created 3 little Christmas rosettes

I chose to use the Bella Bear Christmas collection for my sweet and easy project today.

I chose 2 snowflake papers, one is from the Bella Bear Christmas collection and the other is from the Gingerbread Holly collection

I decided to create 3 rosettes, the larger one is made from 2" wide strips of paper, I cut 2 each measuring 2" x 11".  The smaller two rosettes are using 1 1/2" strips, cutting 4 strips measuring 1 1/2" x 11".

Each strip of paper was scored at 1/2" all the way along and concertina folded, then I have joined 2 strips together with wet glue to form loops.  I die cut 4 small circles of card and then used these on the backs of each rosette applying hot glue and holding each in shape while drying.

Once the rosettes were formed I added some cream twine to each so they could be hung from a tree at Christmas but they would make perfect gift tags too for special presents.

Next I chose 2 pre-coloured ephemera images and one of the pre-coloured Bella Bear images, printing each one out twice.

I die cute the image, layered onto die cut card and then used the hot glue to adhere these to the rosettes.

I then fussy cut out the images again and layered these onto the bottom image with foam tape.

The finishing touches were some sparkly stickles on each image and glossy accents onto Bella's nose and the holly berries.

I'm really pleased how these turned out and I'll definitely be making some more for this Christmas.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.
