Digi Choosday - Udderly Glad we're Friends - Double Z Fold - Friendship - Udderley Cute Collection - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week so far and that the weather is being kind to you.  The start of September and here's hoping some cooler days and maybe a little rain too.

this year has definitely been a hot one and the garden is crying out for a little relief from the high Summer temperatures.

The theme set for the DT this week by Nikky was Friendship and I'm I've decided that I'm going to send this card to my best friend in the UK as I miss seeing her so much. 

My Friendship card today features the absolutely gorgeous Udderly Cute Collection. 

I started by creating an A7 Fold card base and then cut a second smaller Z-fold card from chocolate brown card.

The Kraft card base was scored at 2 1/2" on the front panel, folded back on itself and burnished.

For the smaller card that has the main image I cut a piece of card measuring 10" x 5" scoring this at 2" and 4" again, folding and burnishing. The smaller card will be adhered onto the base card after decorating the panels with patterned papers.

I chose a wood grain paper from the collection and the pretty paper with lots of presents and hearts to mat onto the crd base with chocolate brown panels.

I have used the very sweet Gift and Balloons digital stamp, adding one of the sentiments over the top of the image, before printing out and colouring with promarkers to match the pretty papers.

Then main coloured image was adhered to the front panel of the card.

I decided to print out one of the ephemera sheets from the collection, fussy cutting out a couple of the daisy flowers, a label and a little heart, adding these to the design along with a few little die cut hearts and gems and white gelly roll pen highlights.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #838 - Anniversary Challenge - Multiple Sponsors

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all I hope that you are having a lovely week !

I'm here today to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and it's our special Anniversary challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by 7 wonderful and very generous sponsors.

I decided for my special card today I would create a fun card using one of the fantastic digital stamps by Polkadoodles from the recent Udderly Cute collection. 

This cutie is called Love Moo Bunches and I have resized her for my card before printing out onto alcohol friendly card and colouring with promarkers.

My card base today is an upright easel card and I've chosen papers from the collection, layering these onto a deep cherry red card layer.

I added a few pieces of ephemera from the collection around the design, lots of sparkle and lots of little gems.

The stopper for the easel is simple die cut hearts and layered papers from the collection.

Digi Choosday - You're My Favourite Person - Valentines Card - Udderly Cute Collection - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week - February is already here and its definitely time to think about sending Love and Valentines Day.

Do you send Valentines cards ?  We don't send them to each other really anymore but we always try to have a special day to celebrate and mark the occasion.

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

The theme set for the DT this week is  Valentines and to use Red Pink Black and white so I thought the brand new Udderly Cute Collection would be prefect for this.

The card fold is a simple Pop Out Gatefold as I wanted to really show off the cute cow pattern papers and also use some of the fabulous ephemera  from the collection.

The folded card fits into a 5" x 7" or A7 envelope.  Using a deep cherry red card I cut a piece measuring 10" x 7" and then along the long edge of the card, scored at 2 1/2" & 7 1/2" on one side and then one the other side at 4 1/12" & 5 1/2".  This will give the perfect valley and mountain folds for the card.

The card was layered with cow papers on the inside and then a pretty polka dot  paper on the outside so the recipient gets a surprise when they open it.

I'm really proud of myself as over Christmas I challenged myself to start using my Scan n Cut machine more this year rather than fussy cutting  by hand and the ephemera sheets were so easy to cut on the machine - as well as being addicted to cows - I'm now in love with my Scan n Cut again ! So with my new found love I've used lots of the ephemera to adorn the card.

The image is Just For Moo, coloured with promarkers and layered onto die cut hearts.

To finish the card I added lovely sparkle inside and out and a touch of glossy accents to the little heart on the envelope.  

I wish you could see the sparkle as its so pretty but photos don't do it justice.

New Release - Udderly Cute & Totally Loved - Valentine's & Love cards - Udderly Cute collection with Polkadoodles

Hello and happy Sunday everyone... I'm late again updating my blog but we've been busy in the garden today whilst the sun was out, pruning and burning the waste to try and keep on top of everything.

I wanted to share another of my cards using the newly released adorable cows....I think this would make a great birthday card for someone special, or just to send love.

Udderly Cute Cows is a sweet digital collection filled with adorable cow characters, soft farmhouse details and a gentle Valentine/friendship theme that is also designed to be used for general everyday card making and crafting too - why not think of telling someone you love them for whatever the reason.

My 5" x 7" or A7 card filled with love today uses Heartfelt Wishes coloured with my Promarkers.  I created a stacked frame using one of the pretty papers from the collection, die cutting this and adhering to several frames cut from card stock ( I use cereal boxes for the base layers as it's free, great for recycling and you cant see the card once its complete. 

The little hearts were cut (on my Scan n Cut!) from one of the lovely ephemera sheets and I think they make the perfect addition to the card.

The finishing touches for the card was lots of extra sparkle to the coloured hearts, gems to the centre of the little flowers and some clear sparkly gems around the design.
