A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #809 - Favourite Colours - Sponsored by Colour of Love

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope you are all well and enjoying the week so far - it's still really quite hot here during the day with cooler mornings which is lovely for sitting outside with a cup of tea .

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Colour of Love and our theme of 'Favourite colours' this week was chosen for team 2 by the lovely Karen.

I chose to use a really sweet image called Pretty Possum Sunflowers and have created a simple A7 5" x7" card.

Out challenge theme is Favourite colours but I have lots and it changes from week to week.  I love different and striking colour combinations, one of my favourites being teal and yellow gold.

I resized the image to suit my card blank and then printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring with my promarkers.  The sentiment was stamped onto the panel with Versafine Clair ink

The coloured panel was then layered onto the card blank with layers of teal  and yellow gold cardstock.

The finishing touches for my card today were teal sequins, white gelly roll pen highlights and clear sparkle to the leaves.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

New Release - Halloween card - Pumpkin Boy - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Sunday... yes I'm back! 2 days in a row Shock Horror  LOL

It's another sunny hot Autumn day here today at 30C again, wonderful I know and I'm definitely not complaining given the weather in the UK at the moment, but I would really like it a little cooler now - good for drying the washing.

There is a brand new release from Polkadoodles and its just perfect for all those Halloween projects.  Creepy Creatures collection is a fantastic collection of 3 bundles.  Cute & Creepy, Witches & Broomsticks and Creepy Things,

Inside the collection you’ll find everything from pumpkins, ghosts, skeletons, mummies, bats, monsters and creepy dolls, to witches, broomsticks, cauldrons, spell books, black cats and potion bottles. Perfect for trick or treat cards, party invites, scrapbook layouts, junk journal spreads, stickers, planner pages and DIY stationery.

Each design comes as both pre-coloured images for quick makes and black & white digital stamps for colouring at home. Every bundle also includes free SVG outlines, making them ideal for Cricut, Silhouette Cameo and Brother ScanNCut.

For my first card I chose to use the Cute and Creepy Bundle, this is Pumpkin Boy and I've used the pre-coloured version for this card although he is available for you to colour too!

It's a larger A7 or 5" x 7" card so I resized the character to suite my design and then printed him out a couple of times so I can do a little fussy cutting and decoupaging for dimension.

I chose one of the spooky papers from the collection, Loving the orange and teal so I used this as my colour pallet for the die cut frame and banners and also blended distress ink around the edge of the paper to add darker tones.

I added splatters of white and black gesso to the paper and also distress mica spray so in real life the card has a spook shine to it.

To finish off the design I added white gelly roll pen highlights around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

New Release - Autumn Girls - Leaves are Falling - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Monday......

Autumn has officially arrived so what better way to celebrate with a brand new collection of stamps by Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

There are 10 absolutely gorgeous new Autumn girls now available in the Etsy shop and I know you will love them all so why not have a look.

For my card today I've used the adorable Pumpkin Girl coloured with my promarkers.  These gorgeous images don't really need much so I used distress inks blended across the background with a little ink splattering for texture.

The sentiment I have used is from the Autumn Sentiments set and I have applied rose gold foil to this.

I decided to mat a layer of pretty paper from the Secret Garden collection onto my card blank and adhered the panel at an angle with foam tape.

Finishing touches were some champagne confetti and white gelly roll pen highlights.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Quirky birds - Princess of Hearts Collection - Life is Sweeter - with Julia McNeil Designs

Hello everyone Happy Friday everyone !  I hope you are enjoying the Summer - its a little bit hot here so having to spend quite a bit of time indoors keeping out of the heat but hopefully a few more weeks and the heat will start to ease off.

Today I have a fun and quirky little card that I have made using the quirky bird from the Princess of Hearts Mini digital collection.  Its supposed to be a flamingo but I do like to make something different!

A few years ago we bought a quirky bird from a friends mum.  She had made it from varnished gourds and false flowers among other recycled bits and pieces and we love it.

It's hanging in our lounge amongst the plants...we're not sure what type of bird it is but when I saw the digital image in this fun collection I knew I had to make a fun and quirky card using it.

Certain to bring a smile to anyone's face I think LOL

I resized 2 of the images and reversed one of them before printing out along with one of the hearts and a sentiment from the collection.

The two quirky birds were coloured with my Polychromos pencils.

The  background was stencilled with distress inks and I added shading with a couple of pencils and highlights with a white gelly roll pen.

A simple die cut frame for the birds and some coloured card strips at the bottom for my fun card for today.

Finishing touches were white gelly roll pen highlights and glossy accents to the eyes .

I do hope that you like my card for today and I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope that your week is going well so far.

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by LeAnn's World 101 and our theme of 'For a Child' this week was chosen for team 2 by Kitty.

I chose to use a really sweet image called Annette coloured with Promarkers, before fussy cutting out.  The sentiments are from Polkadoodles Rebel Girl collection.

I decided to keep the colour palette bright and simple using stencils and distress inks to create the background beach scene.   To add detail to the foam on the waters edge I've used a little white gesso on my finger and white gel pen on the waves.

Anette was coloured with my promarkers before fussy cutting out and adding to the scene with glossy accents on the bobbles in her hair.

The two sentiments have been foiled  for a touch of shine.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Get Well Soon - Waving Animals - Flower Pockets with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Saturday....I hope you are enjoying the weekend so far... we're both under the weather at the moment with horrid coughs and colds and the high temperatures outside are definitely not helping so my card today is perfect for us.

I'm here today with a sweet little card for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) featuring a cute little kitty  from the Waving Animals digital stamp set available in the Etsy shop.

It's a huge set of 18 cute little waving animals - you will be spoilt for choice and there are 30 sentiments included too.

Its a perfect set for so many different occasions so I would definitely recommend it. The design of the card was inspired by a crafty friend and I thought the little kitty would be perfect combined with one of the Flower Pockets

Just some simple colouring with my promarkers for the kitty and distress inks for the pocket and simple fussy cutting out...I used foam tape to adhere the little pocket and 3D glue gel to add the kitty into the pocket.

The background paper is from an older collection of watercolour papers by Craftwork Cards (sadly no longer in business)

Finishing touches were some clear iridescent sequins around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #788 - Favourite Colour Combination - Sponsored by The Paper Shelter

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day - We're back after a wonderful long weekend away in Mallorca, had a fabulous time and it was great to have a break away too with lots of sightseeing and lots of relaxing too.

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Favourite Colour Combination' has been chosen by Karen for team 2 and is being sponsored by The Paper Shelter

For my eclipse style card today I chose to use a pretty digital image Hammock Days to create a pretty birthday card.

I resized the image to suit a 6" x 6" card and then printed it on alcohol friendly card before colouring with promarkers and then fussy cutting it out.

The image also comes with a pretty background paper to match so I resized this to suit the card blank and added a sentiment to the panel before printing.

To create the eclipse effect I used a smaller die to cut out the centre of the paper, adhering this directly onto the card blank.  Then I added foam tape to the outer border of the paper, tucking the sweet girl underneath before adhering the frame to the card.  The little girl is hanging free between the outer frame sides.

The finishing touches were some drops of stickles to the flower  centres at the bottom and some white gel pen highlights.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hugs and Fishes - Aquatic Adventures Collection with Julia McNeill Designs

Hello everyone Happy Friday everyone !  I hope that you have had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend.

Today I'm here to share a cute card that I have made using one of my favourite collections by JMC Designs.  Its the Aquatic Adventures collection and its packed with lots of fishy fun. This collection will be back on the website very soon

Its an A6 card loaded with pre-coloured elements, a paper and a sentiment from the collection. I started with one of the papers and then stencilled coral over the top in green and yellow ink.  Next I used a hillside die to cut some yellow card for the sand at the bottom of the sea, blending distress ink over the edge to separate the layers.  Foam tape was used to adhere the sand.

I then added lots of fish and different coral which had been fussy cut out, some flat to the card and others on foam for depth.  The sentiment was fussy cut out and ink blended with green and blue ink before adhering this to the design.

The finishing touches were stickles around the design, glossy accents bubbles and for the fishes eyes and some extra white pen highlights

I do hope that you like my card for today and I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment.

The piece of card  was 6 1/2" x 6" and then I used a cloud edge die to cut the top of the panel off.  Next I have used distress inks to create clouds and the hills at the bottom before scoring 1" on either side of the panel.  I also cut two 1" x 6 1/2" bridge pieces and adhered them into the card base.

I attached some green die cut grass to the bottom of the panel, a small die cut sunshine and then the coloured mushrooms were then attached to the different layers of the card to create the scene.

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Tuesday and a wonderful week!

It feels so good to have finished picking our olives - I know we didn't have as many as normal this year to collect, its been a bad year for our area but its now all been pressed at the mill and we have lots of lovely extra virgin olive oil for the next year...just need some lovely homemade crusty bread now hmm!

Next job is pruning...never ending

This weeks challenge theme of 'Die cuts / punches' has been chosen by Karen for team 2 and is being sponsored by All Dressed Up stamps

For my card today I chose to use a sweet digital image called Potted Plants - I can think of quite a few friends this would be perfect for.

This is a simple A6 card. The image was  resized to suit the card and printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock along with a gardening themed digital sentiment.

The image was coloured with my Promarkers and then added to a card blank behind an arched frame cut from green card.... I wanted the card to look like we are looking through a window.

For the die cuts I used a set from Sizzix called potted plants, cut from coloured card and then ink blended for dimension.

Once finished I added white gelly roll pen highlights and a scattering of sequins to the design.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!
