A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #834 - Dots and/or Stripes - Sponsored by Polkadoodles

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day !

There's a new challenge started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Dots and/or Stripes' has been chosen by Natalie for team 2 and is being sponsored by Polkadoodles

I decided to make an upright easel card, creating my card base from a Kraft card 6 x6" card base.

I decided to start by choosing some pretty striped and dotty papers by Polkadoodles from the Tons of Love collection, using these to mat and layer onto my card base with a burgundy cardstock to contrast.

I then resized the main Helga Hippo image to suit my card printing out onto alcohol marker friendly card before colouring with promarkers.

I die cut lots of hearts from the patterned paper and the card and used these to decorate the card along with lots of burgundy gems.
The finishing touches were some simple white pen highlights around the design.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

New Release - Mice Party - Mouse Fanfare - Happy Birthday - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Sunday - I hope that you are having a lovely weekend and the weather is being kind where you are.

It actually feels like Summer has arrived here after our cold and wet Winter and cooler Spring....the temperatures during the day have changed and its even shorts weather now LOL

The pool is sparkling and looking very inviting but its a tad too cool for me still - I'm such a wuss but ill be in it soon I'm sure.  Its lovely sitting out in the evening and no mosquitoes spotted just yet fingers crossed we don't have a bad year.

I'm back today with another cute card using one of the brand new Party Mice from the Spring release by Lili of the Valley (LOTV)available now from the Etsy shopThere are 12 brand new little mice, all ready to celebrate.

My very clean and simple, one layer birthday card today features the Mouse Fanfare image, coloured with my promarkers....just look at all those sweet little hearts pouring out.

I carefully blended a little distress ink over the panel for the sky and then added two sweet clay hearts to finish off the design.

The sentiment is from the LOTV Everyday Greetings collection.

Finishing touches added of white gel pen highlights and clear sparkle below the little mouse and to his trumpet.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Digi Choosday - Spring Animals - Lucy Monkman - Spring Card - Bunny & Birds - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week.  Wishing you all a very happy April too.

It's nearly time to celebrate Easter, only a couple of days away and that will mark the end of our 2 weeks of Semana Santa here in Spain.

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to make a Spring Animals themed project or card. Springtime is such a wonderful time as the garden really seems to come alive and the colours and smells from all the blossom around the garden is amazing - all the rain we had earlier on in the year has really helped the plants.

I decided to create a very simple one layer card today using one of the gorgeous quirky designs from the Lucy Monkman collection.  These are just the sweetest images and they really don't need lots of difficult colouring and I think are perfect when you want to create something quick simple and fun.

I chose the Bunny and Birds image, printing it out onto an A6 panel of alcohol marker friendly card.  I also printed out the same image on paper too as I was planning on creating some masks for my design.

I coloured the images with my promarkers and then fussy cut out the masks from paper, adhering these over my coloured images using a repositionable glue.  I added glossy accents to the musical notes rather than cutting masks and allowed this to completely dry.

Next I created the background gently blending distress inks to create a pretty cloudy sky and some hills.

Once I was happy with the background I carefully removed the little masks.

To finish off the card I added little white gel pen highlights around the design.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Card recipe:

New Release - Mice Party - Mouse with Balloon - Sweet Wishes - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Tuesday I hope that you are having a great week. Its the end of March already and the garden it starting to look wonderful, brightly coloured flowers everywhere and the orange trees are in blossom so the smell is amazing.  We even have a fabulous display of white and blue wisteria this year - must have been all the rain earlier in the year.

It's a beautiful sunny day here today and the temperature is slowly going up - still chilly in the evenings but I'm not complaining.

I'm back today with another cute card using one of the brand new Party Mice from the recent March release by Lili of the Valley (LOTV)available now from the Etsy shop. There are 12 brand new little mice, all ready to celebrate.

My fun birthday DL  card today features the Mouse with Balloon, its looks like it might lift him away up into the clouds if he's not careful.

I created 2 simple paper masks and then stencilled the clouds into the background using distress ink.

I added a sweet LOTV sentiment from the Sweet Wishes collection to the panel below the mouse before printing out

Just some simple colouring with my promarkers for these sweet little images  with finishing touches added of white gel pen highlights, blue sparkle to the balloon string, sparkle pen to the balloon, glossy accents to the stars  and clear sparkly sequins around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Digi Choosday - You're My Favourite Person - Valentines Card - Udderly Cute Collection - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week - February is already here and its definitely time to think about sending Love and Valentines Day.

Do you send Valentines cards ?  We don't send them to each other really anymore but we always try to have a special day to celebrate and mark the occasion.

The theme set for the DT this week is  Valentines and to use Red Pink Black and white so I thought the brand new Udderly Cute Collection would be prefect for this.

The card fold is a simple Pop Out Gatefold as I wanted to really show off the cute cow pattern papers and also use some of the fabulous ephemera  from the collection.

The folded card fits into a 5" x 7" or A7 envelope.  Using a deep cherry red card I cut a piece measuring 10" x 7" and then along the long edge of the card, scored at 2 1/2" & 7 1/2" on one side and then one the other side at 4 1/12" & 5 1/2".  This will give the perfect valley and mountain folds for the card.

The card was layered with cow papers on the inside and then a pretty polka dot  paper on the outside so the recipient gets a surprise when they open it.

I'm really proud of myself as over Christmas I challenged myself to start using my Scan n Cut machine more this year rather than fussy cutting  by hand and the ephemera sheets were so easy to cut on the machine - as well as being addicted to cows - I'm now in love with my Scan n Cut again ! So with my new found love I've used lots of the ephemera to adorn the card.

The image is Just For Moo, coloured with promarkers and layered onto die cut hearts.

To finish the card I added lovely sparkle inside and out and a touch of glossy accents to the little heart on the envelope.

I wish you could see the sparkle as its so pretty but photos don't do it justice.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #820 - Favourite Digital or Stamp - Sponsored by All Dressed Up Stamps

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day - My goodness its sooo cold here at the moment inside the house - I cant seem to get warm and have so many layers on in the house - it's actually warmer outside in the sunshine LOL. Even the log burner at night isn't making me feel warm so we've ordered an electric blanket for the sofa - can't wait for it to arrive.

This week we are being sponsored by All Dressed Up stamps and our theme is very simple - Favourite stamp or digital stamp being hosted by Karen for Team 2.

So for my card today I decided to use a beautiful image called Garden Wheel Barrow, as I'm channelling some warmer spring vibes.

This lovely image was coloured with my Promarkers and then I have fussy cut out the top portion of the design, leaving the bottom as a rounded hill that I coloured with a little distress inks.

The check paper in the background is from the new Udderly Cute collection by Polkadoodles.

The sentiment is by Waffle Flower, stamped with Versafine Clair green ink and then cut out with the coordinating dies.

The finishing touches were some white gelly roll pen highlights and super sparkly gems.

Wishing you all a wonderful week!

I hope that you join in with the challenge as don't forget there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Bunny Happy Returns - Bunny Birthday Photo Strip - Accordion Gate Fold with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Friday and a great weekend ahead......We're off walking tomorrow with our local walking group - we set off in the coach at 6:30am so its an early night tonight and I'm definitely not looking forward to such an early start but hopefully it will be a fun day ahead....I'll let you know how we get on as its our first proper walk after the Summer so I'm sure well have achy legs on Sunday LOL

I thought we'd have a change from Halloween cards to I'm back today with a sweet little Bunny card using the Bunny Birthday Photo Strip by Lili of the Valley (LOTV)  available in the Etsy shop

Its a new card fold for me too and I'm really pleased how its worked out. The fold is called an Accordion Gate Fold and I watched a tutorial by Lisa's Stamp Studio but there are loads of tutorials out there and its a really easy card to construct.

This is the video on YouTube that I followed for the measurements etc. The finished card when folded fits neatly into a C6 size envelope.

For my card today  I have used some fun purple and magenta card to create the card base and then used  an old paper pad from my stash to layer onto the panels.

Its such a pretty paper pad from years ago (2014) called Bonnets & Bowties but was perfect for the colours and the card theme. I used the paper pad to help me choose the colours for the little bunny panels, colouring with promarkers before cutting out.

Finishing touches were some clear sparkle, purple confetti and white gelly roll pen highlights around the card.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #811 - Fun Folds - Sponsored by Dis Digital Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day - I hope that week is going well for you, October is definitely flying by - it'll be you know what before long LOL

There's a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Fun Folds' has been chosen by Kitty for team 2 and is being sponsored by Dis Digi Stamps

For my Fun fold card today I decided to create an A6 size pop up card using a sweet image by Polkadoodles. This is Flower Fairy from the Winnie Daisy Fairy collection

My pop up card today is really easy to make but I think fun, its a smaller C6 size and folds flat for posting.

The card base is a piece of card measuring 5 1/2" x 9" scored at 2" on both sides, then flip the card over and score at 3 1/4" on both sides

You can obviously adjust these measurements to create a larger or smaller version.

Winnie was resized to suit the card base and printed out onto alcohol friendly card before colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.

I used the pretty papers to decorate the panels of the card , die cut oval shapes for Winnie to be adhered to and also created flowers from the papers to decorate the design, adding candi and glossy accents to the flower centres.

Finishing touches were some gold confetti around the design and white gelly roll pen highlights.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #809 - Favourite Colours - Sponsored by Colour of Love

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope you are all well and enjoying the week so far - it's still really quite hot here during the day with cooler mornings which is lovely for sitting outside with a cup of tea .

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Colour of Love and our theme of 'Favourite colours' this week was chosen for team 2 by the lovely Karen.

I chose to use a really sweet image called Pretty Possum Sunflowers and have created a simple A7 5" x7" card.

Out challenge theme is Favourite colours but I have lots and it changes from week to week.  I love different and striking colour combinations, one of my favourites being teal and yellow gold.

I resized the image to suit my card blank and then printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring with my promarkers.  The sentiment was stamped onto the panel with Versafine Clair ink

The coloured panel was then layered onto the card blank with layers of teal  and yellow gold cardstock.

The finishing touches for my card today were teal sequins, white gelly roll pen highlights and clear sparkle to the leaves.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

New Release - Halloween card - Pumpkin Boy - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Sunday... yes I'm back! 2 days in a row Shock Horror  LOL

It's another sunny hot Autumn day here today at 30C again, wonderful I know and I'm definitely not complaining given the weather in the UK at the moment, but I would really like it a little cooler now - good for drying the washing.

There is a brand new release from Polkadoodles and its just perfect for all those Halloween projects.  Creepy Creatures collection is a fantastic collection of 3 bundles.  Cute & Creepy, Witches & Broomsticks and Creepy Things,

Inside the collection you’ll find everything from pumpkins, ghosts, skeletons, mummies, bats, monsters and creepy dolls, to witches, broomsticks, cauldrons, spell books, black cats and potion bottles. Perfect for trick or treat cards, party invites, scrapbook layouts, junk journal spreads, stickers, planner pages and DIY stationery.

Each design comes as both pre-coloured images for quick makes and black & white digital stamps for colouring at home. Every bundle also includes free SVG outlines, making them ideal for Cricut, Silhouette Cameo and Brother ScanNCut.

For my first card I chose to use the Cute and Creepy Bundle, this is Pumpkin Boy and I've used the pre-coloured version for this card although he is available for you to colour too!

It's a larger A7 or 5" x 7" card so I resized the character to suite my design and then printed him out a couple of times so I can do a little fussy cutting and decoupaging for dimension.

I chose one of the spooky papers from the collection, Loving the orange and teal so I used this as my colour pallet for the die cut frame and banners and also blended distress ink around the edge of the paper to add darker tones.

I added splatters of white and black gesso to the paper and also distress mica spray so in real life the card has a spook shine to it.

To finish off the design I added white gelly roll pen highlights around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.
