Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all I hope that you are having a lovely week !

I'm definitely not complaining but it's still really hot here, this week the temperature is hovering around 37C so thankfully a little cooler LOL, which means we can get a bit more done in the garden.  It would be lovely for a little rain as everywhere is so dry and crispy in the garden and the plants are really struggling sadly despite being watered, but with cloudless skies I suspect there's none coming soon.

We are off to Granada again on Wednesday so hoping it's not too uncomfortable there.

I'm here today to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog.

This week our challenge is being sponsored by Dr Digi's House of Stamps and the theme chosen by Elaine for team 2 is Favourite Embellishment.

For my card decided I chose to use Surfin Santa , resizing the image to suit my A6 card before printing out on alcohol friendly card and colouring with promarkers and cutting out with my ScannCut machine. 

Next I created the background scene using 3 distress inks, a little masking tape and a cloud stencil.

I added a little cream and white acrylic paint along the water line for texture to create the look of the sea foam on the sand.

My favourite embellishment are sequins and confetti as I think they go with everything, even this more masculine beach themed card.  I have used clear iridescent sequins on my card but they don't show up very well in my photo.

The card was simply finished with white gelly roll pen highlights and a brown fine liner pen to gibe the appearance of texture to the sand.

Ho Ho Ho with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone - wishing you a wonderful Wednesday.  

I'm here today on my blog to share another Christmas card that I've made using the Santa Gnome and Reindeer digital stamp set by Pink Gem Designs.

This digital download set is available in the Etsy shop Santa Gnome and Reindeer and it comes as a pre-coloured digital stamp, a black and white version and there is a cute sentiment included with the set too. 

I love colouring my digital images with my marker pens, but sometimes when we don't have lots of time and especially at Christmas when there are so many cards to make, using a pre-coloured image is so fast and it's really easy to make a gorgeous card too.

This is a 5" x 7" card so I started by creating my background - I used a snowflake digital paper from my stash and then overlaid the sentiment onto this using my graphics software on the computer.  Next I resized the image to suite this panel and printed this out twice so it cut be decoupaged.

Special Guest Designer for Mirtillamente - Santa Oops !

Hello everyone!

Well I'm absolutely over the moon to have been invited to be a special guest designer for the October challenge over on the Mirtillamente challenge blog - what an honour !

Here is the card that I've made for the challenge.

The digital stamp that I chose to use is called Santa Ops! It looks like he's going to need to go back to flying school to learn how to get down those chimneys before this Christmas.

This is such a fun and a bit cheeky digital stamp that I have resized to suit a larger 5"x 7" card.

The image was coloured using my promarkers before hand tracing a mask to cover the design.

Next I created the night time sky background using my distress oxide inks. I added splatters of water and sparkle to create my stars.

The panel once dry was mounted onto the base card with a small border of blank card and I then added my sentiment.
