New Release - Hey There Pumpkin - Halloween cards - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello and happy Monday everyone... I hope that you had a lovely weekend!

It's Halloween Week and I've still got lots of Spooky Cute cards to share with you so I might have to do a couple each day...apologies in advance but I really want to share them all with you.

Both of my cards today are created using the brand new Creepy Creatures collection  by Polkadoodles.

For my first card I've used the Pumpkin Head digital stamp from the Creepy Things bundle, brightly coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut out....I love using fun bright colours for Halloween, its doesn't always have to be all about dark grunge.

For my simply spooky card I chose one of the fabulous background papers from the collection, resizing this to fit my smaller 6" x 6" card, punching the corners out and then layering onto magenta card stock.

I printed out the sentiment and then applied hot pink foil to it before fussy cutting out.

The cute little pre-coloured  Happy Pumpkin was printed out and fussy cut before tucking behind the little Pumpkin head boy...I added glossy accents to make his eyes pop out.

The finishing touches were some fluorescent yellow gel pens to the pumpkins eyes and nose to make him extra spooky, the tops of the tree and bats and in the windows of the spooky mansion.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Tis the Season to be Spooky with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week.

October is here already and for those of you that celebrate Halloween its not long now.

It's not a big holiday here where we live and because we are in the countryside we don't get trick or treaters knocking on the door but the town hall usually marks the event with some fun activities for the children and there is usually a scary 'Tunnel of Fear' set up in the main plaza and lots of people dress up in costumes.

It's been another busy week here with the continuing work on the new bathroom and the craft room and I even managed to get out of all the dust and noise for lunch with the ladies on Wednesday, which was nice.

The first Friday of the month marks the start of a new Challenge for over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge as long as you use a digital or stamped image in your project, so why not join in the challenge.

Winners of the challenge will receive 2 digital stamps of your choice from Pattie's shop.

Pattie has some wonderful digital stamps in her Etsy Shop pattiescreations and there is also a freebie every month on the blog that you can use in your project if you want to!

For my October project, I chose the Bats over Pumpkin Patch digital stamp

Today's card is all about Halloween and everything spooky so.  Its a simple 6" x 6" card with some fabulous bright Halloween papers from Polkadoodles.

I resized the image to suit my card blank before printing out onto alcohol friendly card stock and colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours used).

I decided  to try something different with my markers and created am arty sky behind the moon, inspired by a recent video that I watched on YouTube by
thecircleguru - I was fascinated with the technique so had to give it a try. More practice needed I think but I'm please with the overall effect.  If you fancy watching here is a link to the video.  The effect is inspired by paintings by Vincent Van Gogh

To finish off the card I have added some confetti and the sentiment is from the new Hocus Pocus collection by Polkadoodles.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.

This week the theme for the DT is Autumn is Here ! and it's such a wonderful time of the year...I love all of the variation of colours as the leaves on the trees take on their Autumn display.

I have wanted to use this cute little stamp for a while now on a card so was so happy when I saw our theme for the week.

This is Eli Elephant Clearing Leaves - anyone that knows me will know just how much I love elephants and he was just perfect for my Autumn scene card.

I created the background scene using graphics software on my computer using the tree scene digital stamp  and a couple of pumpkin digital stamps from the Autumn/Fall Mono bundle resizing the elements to fit a 6" x 6" card.

I also chose one of the sentiments from the Winnie Daisy greetings bundle to add to my background panel.

I also resized Eli to fit this background and to add extra dimension printed out the pumpkins a second time.

The background scene and extra elements were coloured using my Promarkers (see below) and then these were cut by hand before being added to the card.

I don't normally colour a whole background with my Promarkers as I prefer to combine the coloured  digital images with my distress inks but its good to do something different once in a while and I really enjoyed trying something new.

I hope you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with the 'Anything goes' challenge over at the DIGI CHOOSDAY BLOG!

Squirrel and pumpkins with Last Minute Manda

Happy Saturday everyone ! I hope that you have had a good week and have a lovely weekend ahead planned.

Today I am sharing my latest DT make for Last minute Manda and I've decided to stick with the Autumn theme for todays card...must be something in the air!

To create this cute and very simple shaker card I've used the Autumn Friends collection

I coloured all of the elements with my Promarkers for this card - even the background which I don't normally do but its good to try new things and learn new techniques.

I found some mulberry paper leaves that I have in my stash for far too many years probably around 25!...I bought them from a shop in the UK Lakeland Plastics when they used to have a craft section which has sadly long gone..... its about time they finally got used.

To make them more autumnal, I've used distress inks blended over the tope and am really pleased with the end result as it adds a lovely texture to the scene.

I hope that you like my card today ๐ŸŒž
