Digi Choosday - Honey Bee Dreams - Craft Fairs - Coasters - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create something that you could sell at a craft fair........hmm that really got me thinking as I tend to make cards and not much else.

I decided to do a bit or upcycling.....I have had some old charity coasters sat in my crafty room for ages waiting to be reused in some way - as we do LOL.

I thought I would try to turn them in to Buzzy Bee drink coasters using the brand new Honey Bee Dreams collection.

These are the original coasters before I started work..... 

I chose a selection of papers from the Honey Bee Dreams collection, roughly resizing them to fit my coasters before simply printing out.

Next I adhered the papers to the coasters and let them dry.  Once dried completely I trimmed off any excess and then used an old emery nail file to neaten the edges.

I also printed out one of the honeycomb papers from the brand new Bee Buzzy collection and adhered this to the reverse of the coasters and also removed any excess.

Once completely dry I applied gold gilding wax to the edge of each coaster and then Exterior Mod Podge to each coaster, top and bottom - hopefully this will protect from any moisture.

I'm really pleased how these turned out and they will be perfect coasters in the garden over summer.
