Back to Basics - Christmas Hammock Fold Card - Use my Stash - Craftwork Cards - Frozen Forest Collection

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Friday - We've still got very wintery weather, loads of rain and wind and it's so cold  too!

It's probably our first proper Winter since we moved here just over 8 years ago and the wood pile is dwindling fast - fingers crossed we have enough to see us through the cold.

I've already mentioned that one of my crafty goals this year is to use my stash so I have dug out one of my Craftwork Cards collections....Yes I  know its a Christmas collection but its seemed appropriate with the cold weather and all the snow on the mountains.

This A6 Hammock Fold card has been made using the Frozen Forest collection.

I really liked this style of card from a week or so ago so I made another - LOL

For the base card I used two pieces of pale blue cardstock measuring 12" x 6" and 9" x 4"

The larger piece was scored at 2", 4", 8" & 10" and the smaller piece scored at 1 1/2", 3", 6" & 7 1/2"

If you are looking for a tutorial for the hammock fold card then I would recommend reading the one at Beccy's Place as its really clear and easy to follow.

Here is the link for the tutorial

I've used up some of the scraps of paper that I have kept for ages and a couple of the ephemera die cuts that came in the collection to decorate the card.

I thought for this one I would create a Belly Band or wrap style closure and die cut a fancy scalloped frame for  the front panel.

I added a few pieces of blue candi and then coated them with glossy accents so they look like enamel dots and added some sparkly stickles to the front panel with the deer.

Its really simple and a lovely style and easily folds up to fit an A6 size envelope.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Back to Basics - Male Birthday - Craftwork Cards - Take it Easy Collection

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Friday - Yeah It's raining !

that probably sounds really weird to most people but we don't get that much here so when it rains its wonderful....as long as it doesn't carry on for days that is LOL

Rainy Days are cosy indoor crafty days.....once I've done a few chores obviously.

I needed to make a very plain male birthday card (no Frou-frou) to send to the UK and I decided in my mission to use my stash this year I would dig out one of my Craftwork Cards collections.

This A6 Hammock Fold card has been made using the Take is Easy collection.

I always struggle with masculine cards but I'm pleased how this came out and I think it fits the bill.

Its a new card fold for me but I love it and its great for using those papers in my crafty hoard.

For the base card I used two pieces of pale blue cardstock measuring 12" x 6" and 9" x 4"

The larger peice was scored at 2", 4", 8" & 10" and the smaller piece scored at 1 1/2", 3", 6" & 7 1/2"

If you are looking for a tutorial for the hammock fold card then I would recommend reading the one at Beccy's Place as its really clear and easy to follow.

Here is the link for the tutorial

I've used up some of the scraps of paper that I have kept for ages and a couple of the sentiments that cam in the collection to decorate the card.

I die cut a couple of diamonds from the pale blue card to layer under the sentiments as I didn't want them to be lost with the busy paper pattern.

I added a few pieces of orange candi and then coated them with glossy accents so they look like enamel dots.

Its really simple and a lovely style and easily folds up to fit an A6 size envelope.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #811 - Fun Folds - Sponsored by Dis Digital Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day - I hope that week is going well for you, October is definitely flying by - it'll be you know what before long LOL

There's a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Fun Folds' has been chosen by Kitty for team 2 and is being sponsored by Dis Digi Stamps

For my Fun fold card today I decided to create an A6 size pop up card using a sweet image by Polkadoodles. This is Flower Fairy from the Winnie Daisy Fairy collection

My pop up card today is really easy to make but I think fun, its a smaller C6 size and folds flat for posting.

The card base is a piece of card measuring 5 1/2" x 9" scored at 2" on both sides, then flip the card over and score at 3 1/4" on both sides

You can obviously adjust these measurements to create a larger or smaller version.

Winnie was resized to suit the card base and printed out onto alcohol friendly card before colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.

I used the pretty papers to decorate the panels of the card , die cut oval shapes for Winnie to be adhered to and also created flowers from the papers to decorate the design, adding candi and glossy accents to the flower centres.

Finishing touches were some gold confetti around the design and white gelly roll pen highlights.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - Love Always Bunnies - Sports - colour palette with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....x

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create something with a sporting theme and also to follow a colour palette.

I'm not a bit sport fan but I have been known to watch a little of Wimbledon so I decided to use the very cute Love Always Bunnies collection.  The image is called Love All and I decided to use my distress inks to watercolour for a change.

Not my forte but its always good to try new things and step out of our comfort zones from time to time - think I need a bit more practice as the background seemed a little too blue for the look I was trying to achieve, but its not bad at all.

I chose distress ink colours to match the colour palette and also some papers from the Let's Hang Out collection to co-ordinate with the design.  Just some vey simple mat and layering and a few pieces of card candi to finish off my card today.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - Coffee/Drinks - Puns - Love you a Latte - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Coffee or Drinks themed card with a matching pun.

I chose the Latte Coffee Cup from the Coffee Tea Cake Collection, resizing the cup image to entirely fill an A6 card front.  I also added a couple of the cute puns from the collection, one to the lid of the cup and one to the cardboard holder before printing out and colouring with my Promarkers.

Can you guess what my favourite coffee outlet was in the UK ?  We had one on site at work and I used to go everyday for a large latte !

I adhered the panel to the front of the card blank and then fussy cut out the right hand side of the panel adding a piece of red check paper from the collection to the inside panel of the card.

Next I added some coffee splatters around the edge with distress ink and a stencil.

To finish off my project I added some card candi and a die cut heart before covering these with glossy accents.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #772 - Favourite colours - Sponsored by Colour of Love

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope you are all well and keeping warm - its freezing here at the moment and I just cant seem to get warm at all - brr

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Colour of Love and our theme of 'Favourite colours' this week was chosen for team 2 by the lovely Natalie.

I chose to use a really sweet image called Sitting by the Lake and I have created a simple A7 5" x7" Z-fold card for this with pretty papers from Craftwork cards layered onto purple cardstock.

I resized the image to suit my card blank adding a digital sentiment at the bottom of the panel and then printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring with my promarkers.

My all time favourite colour is purple ( if you hadn't guessed) and I like this with teal or shocking pink so decided to use teal.  To make the colours stand out even more, I decided to colour the rest of the image with sepia tones..something I haven't done before but I have to say I really like how its turned out.

The finishing touches for my card today were purple card candi that I have added glossy accents to.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Mother's Day card - Noodle Panda - Digi Choosday - Picked just for you with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday.  I hope that you have a lovely day today and that you enjoy your week ahead...

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Mother's Day card.  Isn't it strange that Mother's Day falls on different days around the world.

In the UK its on March 10th, whereas in the US its May 12th.  Here in Spain its May 5th.  For my card today I chose to use one of my favourite recent collections Noodle Panda - he's such a cutie and who wouldn't want a bouquet of flowers from a cute panda.

This is a bright and cheerful easel card with yellow and hot pink cardstock which I've used to add layers of die cut hearts.  One of the hearts has a layer of Vellum in the centre.

The papers that I've used are from a New Release of Winne that's coming out very soon - so a little sneaky peak - shh don't tell Nikky !

The sentiment is from the Darling Buds collection and I've used hot pink foil to add shine.  The card when folded flat fits perfectly into an a6 envelope.

Finishing touches where some super sparkly hot pink gems a
nd, hot pink foiled candi and white  gel pen highlights.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles

I Love Promarkers #541 - Lavender & Lace Sponsored by Paper Nest Dolls

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday! I hope that you are having a lovely week.

I'm on my blog today for the new bi-weekly I Love Promarkers blog challenge , it would be wonderful if you joined us over there if you love to colour with  alcohol markers and don't forget there are prizes up for grabs.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Paper Nest Dolls

Here is my inspiration card for the current blog challenge with the theme - Lavender & Lace, using a gorgeous image called Ellie with Candle.  Isn't she so sweet.

I don't make as many cards with lots of layers and lace these days but it was fun to combine my colouring with a different and very pretty look for a change

For today's  6" x 6" card I have started by adhering some of my lavender paper from my stash to the card blank to completely cover it.  Next I die cut a fancy lacey border in a different lavender/lilac paper and then added a strip of lace to this, before adhering to my card.

I added a small paper doily ad I think this carries on the them of lace and added a vellum heart which I had embossed to the centre.

I splattered the entire piece with silver sparkle and purple watercolour paint before adding my coloured image of Ellie, a sentiment and some purple card candii to the top corner.

Glossy accents were added to the candii to make it look like enamel dots and for the finishing touch some clear sparkle pen over Ellie's dress which I hope you can see on this photo.
I really hope that you have enjoyed my sweet Lavender & Lace card for today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

Good Things Come in Little Packages - Lily Bug Ladybird with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone - Happy Thursday to you ....I hope you are all doing ok and are enjoying the week.

Today I'm here to share a sweet card made using the recent Lily Bug Ladybird collection.

The collection includes black line art digital stamps, pre-coloured digital stamps, papers, sentiments toppers, embellishments and  so absolutely something for everyone's style of crafting and for loads of different occasions too!

If you are looking for more inspiration then don't forget to have a look at the Ideas Gallery for this new collection

For my card today I decided to make a relatively clean and simple 5" x 7"  card using a couple of the digital ladybirds in the collection combined with a paper and one of the sentiments.

I love that the collection includes extra elements that can be used on their own or with the Lily bug characters.

Just a little layering on red card stock, simple stencilling with distress ink and some card candi to finish off today's simple but I think striking card.
