Digi Choosday - Noodle Panda Card with Leaves - Party Like a Panda - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a card with a Panda or a Bear and include leaves

I decided to create a square 6" x 6" pop up frame card today and use my favourite Noodle Panda collection

I created the pop up frame for my base card from dark green card stock and cut a circular aperture in the centre of this. Next I layered a peice of leafy green paper over the pop up panel cutting a slightly larger circular aperture in the centre to green a border of dark green card around it.

Before adhering the pop up frame to the card blank I added a different leafy paper into the centre of the panel - this would show through the aperture.

Next I resized the Noodle image image in my graphics software before printing out, colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.  The cut out image was then adhered behind the aperture.

I printed out two sentiments from the Noodle collection and foiled these before adding to the card using foam tape.

I used a couple of dies to cut out leaves from green card adding distress ink to the edges for shading and colour and then added these to the design, tucking them behind the sentiments.

To finish off my project I added some pale green iridescent sequins around the design and some white gel pen highlights on the image.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

I resized the pandas and printed the image out onto alcohol marker friendly card before colouring with my promarkers (see below for the colours), using colours from the papers to coordinate with my design.

Next I added Noodle and her best friend to the card using low profile foam tape and a sentiment from the collection, on an angle to top left of the card.

Just a few sequins where added around the design to complete todays card.

I Love Promarkers #560 - Tropical Vibes - Sponsored by Polkadoodles

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday!

I'm on my blog today for the new bi-weekly I Love Promarkers blog challenge , it would be wonderful if you joined us over there if you love to colour with alcohol markers and don't forget there are prizes up for grabs.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Polkadoodles

Here is my inspiration card for the current blog challenge with the theme - Tropical Vibes, using the super cute Noodle Panda digital stamp from the Noodle Panda collection, this is Beach Inflatable Flamingo

I wanted to create a tropical beach scene for my cute panda so I have used one of the fabulous digi deals Beach Scene for my background.

I started by resizing this to fit a larger 5" x 7" card blank and added a digital sentiment from the Winnie Starfish Sandcastles collection at the bottom left corner.

I printed out the panel onto alcohol friendly card stock and carefully blended distress inks across this to create my waves, sandy beach and the sky, using a lighter hand across the images themselves.

Next I used promarkers to colour the images - this works really well as long as you choose colours that will disguise the distress ink below.

I used a white gelly roll pen to create foam on the edges of the waves I then resized Noodle, making her larger to fit at the bottom of the card, this helps to give perspective to the design as she's standing at the front of the card.

I assembled the card, matting the background onto a panel of sky blue card and then added Noodle at the bottom right corner with foam tape for extra dimension.

The finishing touches were some highlights around the design with a white pen and glossy accents to her sunglasses.

I really hope that you like my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

Mother's Day card - Noodle Panda - Digi Choosday - Picked just for you with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday.  I hope that you have a lovely day today and that you enjoy your week ahead...

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Mother's Day card.  Isn't it strange that Mother's Day falls on different days around the world.

In the UK its on March 10th, whereas in the US its May 12th.  Here in Spain its May 5th.  For my card today I chose to use one of my favourite recent collections Noodle Panda - he's such a cutie and who wouldn't want a bouquet of flowers from a cute panda.

This is a bright and cheerful easel card with yellow and hot pink cardstock which I've used to add layers of die cut hearts.  One of the hearts has a layer of Vellum in the centre.

The papers that I've used are from a New Release of Winne that's coming out very soon - so a little sneaky peak - shh don't tell Nikky !

The sentiment is from the Darling Buds collection and I've used hot pink foil to add shine.  The card when folded flat fits perfectly into an a6 envelope.

Finishing touches where some super sparkly hot pink gems a
nd, hot pink foiled candi and white  gel pen highlights.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday.  Wishing you all a lovely day today and that you enjoy your week ahead...

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is Valentines Sweet Treats, to make a card using food and drink so I decided to use Noodle Panda Ice Cream Sundae

This is a fairly clean and simple A2 (US size) card.  I started by adding one of the lovely papers from paper set 2 to the side of a panel of alcohol friendly cardstock.

Next I added Noodle with her delicious looking  ice cream sundae. Whats your favourite flavour of ice-cream ? Noodle couldn't decide so she has gone for mint, strawberry and mango.

I printed the panel out and then coloured with my promarkers (see below for the colours), using colours from the papers to coordinate with my design.

I printed the sentiment onto thin card using my new LaserJet printer and then used gold foil with my new Minc Machine, adding this foiled sentiment to top right corner of my main panel.

To complete the card I've used layered stitched edged dies to cut a background panel of pink cardstock  adding this to my card base using wet glue. Next I have mounted my die cut design panel on top of this using craft foam for added dimension.

Just a few co-ordinating sequins were added to the card -  another clean and simple and not too much fuss.

I'm so happy with the foiling so be warned there'll be lots more !

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles

Digi Choosday - Thank you cards with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday.  Wishing you all a lovely day today and that you enjoy the week ahead, I hope that you have something nice planned.

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is Thank you or Thanksgiving so I decided to make a sweet and simple thank you card, what better way to say thankyou to a special friend.  I love to send cards like this, just because and not for a particular event or occasion...but this one is for my BFFs birthday yesterday.

I decided to create an inky background panel to start with using 3 warmer colours of distress inks, using water and watercolour cardstock. I dried this off between each layer of colour and then once completely dry used a simple stitched die to cut out a smaller panel for my A6 card, leaving a large white border around the design.

Next I resized the sweet Noodle Panda image to suit the design and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock before colouring with my Promarkers (see below) and then fussy cutting out.

To add interest to the design I mounted the inky panel into the centre of my A6 card blank and added a stitched die cut border to the bottom of the image.

I added a few pieces of sparkly pink confetti around the design to finish it off, all ready for posting to my bestie.

I have a very special DT discount code that you can use for all your shopping on the Polkadoodles online shop at checkout use WENDYJ-10 and you will get 10% of your entire purchase (not in conjunction with other discount codes!)

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Life is not always Black and White

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Sunday!

The bathroom refurb has finally finished thank goodness and were nearly straight again in the house, still got quite a bit of cleaning to do but were getting there.  I've even managed to get most of the craft room tidied although there's still a lot of boxes to unpack/rationalise.

I'm on my blog today to share something a little quirky that I've made using a couple of fun digital stamps by Julia McNeill owner of JMC Designs.

I've had these two stamps for quite some time but not got around to using them so decided it was about time for something a little fun and quirky just for me.

Aren't they adorable - this is Emily and Sophia (both were freebies)  Sophia was a freebie I think from the Kit & Clowder Facebook group and Emily was the June 2022 freebie from Julia's Facebook group JMC's Crazy Craft Hive.

I created a colourful inky background using distress inks adding a doodled border around the edge.

The sentiment strips are from Polkadoodles - Noodle Panda collection and I thought it was a perfect play on words for my definitely not black and white design today.

Emily and Sophia were coloured with a rainbow of promarkers before fussy cutting out and adhering to the card with foam tape.

To finish of my card I've adhered a few black gems for a touch of sparkle.

I hope that you like my fun and quirky card today and you will come back to see my next design ๐ŸŒž

This is a Joy Fold Z fold card and is a really easy kinetic card to make and great when you have such lovely and fun papers to use.

The base card is a simple 6" x 6" card and on one of the panels I have scored at 3", folded and scored to create my Z-fold.  Next I have cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 1/2" x 9", scoring at 4 1/2", folding and scoring to make a simple card. I chose a green card to tie in with the colouring of the image

Next I have chosen some bright green cardstock and used this to mat and layer papers from set 1 of the collection.

Noodle and the cute baby panda popping out of the box were coloured with my promarkers (see below for the colours), using colours from the papers to coordinate with my design. I have partially cut this out and adhered this to the smaller card using low profile foam tape.

To complete the card I've die cut a flag banner using a die from my stash and a label from the same green card adding these to my card.  The letters are little puffy alphabet stickers that I've coloured yellow to match.

Just a little clear sparkle has been added to the party hat and the present and I've scattered some colourful clay hearts around the design.
