Digi Choosday - Wednesdays - December birthday - Snowy Days Theo Hello with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....not long until Christmas day now so I hope that you have been good this year.

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a December birthday using this colour palette.

I decided to create a Z-Fold Bookbinding card - I'm enjoying making these at the moment!

I started by creating the card base from a blue card, two pieces of card 1  measuring 11 1/2" x 5 7/8" and the second piece measuring 3 1/2 " x 5 7/8"

Next I scored the larger piece as follows along the long side:

  • 2 1/8", 4 1/4" , 5 1/2"
The card was folded and burnished and then the book binding edge was glued down to create the folded card.

I then chose some orange papers from the Freddy Fox collection and adhered these to my card base, leaving a small amount of the blue card showing.

In my graphics software, I then resized the Theo Hello penguin image from the brand new Snowy Days collection and printed this out onto alcohol marker friendly card along with the birthday sentiment from the collection.

I die cut an arched frame from the same blue card and mat and layered the birthday sentiment at the bottom of the arch.  I used the waste from the arched frame to add to the inside of the card.

Theo was coloured with my promarkers before being fussy cut out and adhering into the arch with foam tape.

I then used a balloon and bunting dies set to add details to my happy birthday card, ink blending the balloons fro dimension.

To finish off my card I added some gold confetti around the design , clear sparkle to the bunting and white gelly roll pen highlights to Theo.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

New Release - Noodle the Panda - Birthday Surprise with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone -  Happy Sunday I hope that you are having a great weekend!

I'm back today to share another of my cards using the super cute new collection Noodle the Panda

This huge collection includes black line art digital stamps, pre-coloured digital stamps, papers, sentiments toppers, embellishments and  so absolutely something for everyone's style of crafting and for loads of different occasions too!

Don't forget there is a special Buy 2 get 1 free offer for this new Release and and extra 35% discount with the code NOODLE35

If you are looking for more inspiration then don't forget to have a look at the Ideas Gallery for this new collection

This is a Joy Fold Z fold card and is a really easy kinetic card to make and great when you have such lovely and fun papers to use.

The base card is a simple 6" x 6" card and on one of the panels I have scored at 3", folded and scored to create my Z-fold.  Next I have cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 1/2" x 9", scoring at 4 1/2", folding and scoring to make a simple card. I chose a green card to tie in with the colouring of the image

Next I have chosen some bright green cardstock and used this to mat and layer papers from set 1 of the collection.

Noodle and the cute baby panda popping out of the box were coloured with my promarkers (see below for the colours), using colours from the papers to coordinate with my design. I have partially cut this out and adhered this to the smaller card using low profile foam tape.

To complete the card I've die cut a flag banner using a die from my stash and a label from the same green card adding these to my card.  The letters are little puffy alphabet stickers that I've coloured yellow to match.

Just a little clear sparkle has been added to the party hat and the present and I've scattered some colourful clay hearts around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from this sweet new Noodles the Panda Collection

A Passion for Markers BlogSpot Challenge #688 - Use a Cute Character

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all !

I'm here today to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by the wonderful Polkadoodles

I've been a huge fan and collector of the wonderful digital and physical products from Polkadoodles for many years, so I was really happy to find out that we would be using one of their digital stamps for this challenge.

There are loads of lovely images and definitely something for everyone in the store, so why not take a look and join in with the challenge.  Don't forget there will be a prize for the Winner of the challenge - there are more details over on the blog.

The theme for Team 2 this week, chosen by the lovely Elaine is to Use a cute character - oh gosh there are so many to choose from but this is my DT inspiration for the challenge made using the digital image Pancake Heaven from the Lil Miss Sugarpops collection

Just look at that huge plate of pancakes with caramel syrup and blueberries - shes definitely got a sweet tooth !

This sweet image was coloured with my Promarkers (see below for colours used) and I have then dies cut the image out using a simple hexagonal die.

I have created an A6 card today and chose a pretty paper from the recent Love birds - Wings of Love paper set 2 adding grey metallic pen to the patterned paper to highlight the bunting strings. I decided to layer the paper onto a piece of teal cardstock and then die cut heart bunting from the teal card.

I cut an additional peice of bunting from the cerise cardstock and used the hearts from this, adding them back into my teal bunting - just little pieces of tape on the back keep the hearts in place.

The sentiment I chose is from  the Coffee, Tea and Cake greetings bundle and ive matted this onto the teal card adding a small strip of cerise card on either side of my banner strip.

I added a few co-ordinating sequins around the design, some glossy accents to the flower and hearts of the bunting and a touch of sparkle pen to the syrup.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog
