It's because I'm Green isn't it with Krista Smith

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Saturday!

I am here today on my blog to share a special Christmas card that I've made using a wonderful digital stamp from Krista Smith.

I have been a fan of her artwork for many many years and every month the designs she releases just get better, when I saw this digital I knew it would be perfect for one of my Christmas cards this year.

This card is made using a recent Patreon stamp called Green Friend, coloured with my promarkers (see below for colours).  I would highly recommend having a look at her Patreon as there are loads of amazing digital images to create with.

I've die cut a sparkly green frame for my simple design, blended green distress ink over the panel and added a  little stencilling for detail and texture.

The finishing touches are some super shiny green sequins and a little sparkle on the bauble and her bobbles.

I hope that you like my card today ๐ŸŒž

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday! I hope that you are having a lovely week.

I'm on my blog today for the new bi-weekly I Love Promarkers blog challenge , it would be wonderful if you joined us over there if you love to colour with  alcohol markers and don't forget there are prizes up for grabs.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Paper Nest Dolls

Here is my inspiration card for the current blog challenge with the theme - Add a Banner, using a gorgeous image called Caroling Snowman.

I love making Clean and Simple cards and today I think is a lovely example - never easy knowing when to stop but I think I'm getting better at it.

For today's  5" x 7" landscape card I have started by die cutting a panel of green glitter cardstock to leave a large border on a Kraft craft card blank

The Snowman family image was resized to suit this panel and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly card before printing out.

I used pink and blue distress ink to gently blend over the sky of the scene, adding white acrylic paint dots for the snow and then adhering this panel to my card.

I used a stamp and die set to create the banner for the bottom of the card, using a blue pearl embossing powder to match the colour palette of my design.

To finish off the card I have added some clear iridescent sequins and clear glitter to my snowmen.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my clean and simple card for today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog as there are prizes up for grabs.

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday.  Wishing you all a lovely day today and that you enjoy the week ahead.

The theme set for the DT this week is Christmas Animals/Birds.  How are you getting on making your Christmas cards for this year ?

I'm doing quite well for a change and I think a big part is keeping it simple - We usually have so many cards to make and send and sometimes the simplest designs are the most beautiful.

For todays card I decided to use one of the fabulous images from the Lucy Monkman collection of digital stamps.  I love how different and sketchy these images are, very artsy !

Its a simple A6 card with a layer of blue metallic cardstock leaving a larger border around the clean and simple panel.

The image has been coloured with my promarkers.

I have a very special DT discount code that you can use for all your shopping on the Polkadoodles online shop at checkout use WENDYJ-10 and you will get 10% of your entire purchase (not in conjunction with other discount codes!)

Pumpkin Spice and All Things Nice - GDT Autumn Spice Card with JMC Designs

Hello everyone   hope that you have are having lovely day today.

Its Monday so that means time for me to post another project on the Guest Design Team for JMC Designs

Today I'm here to share an aperture card that I've made using one of the gorgeous girls from the digital Autumn Allspice Collection  This gorgeous girl is Pumpkin Spice.

The extra pumpkins and the sentiment are also from the Autumn Allspice Collection

It's a 6" x 6" card with lots of layers of Kraft card and orange mulberry paper and an aperture

For the background of the card, I have used some gorgeous orange mulberry paper from my crafty hoard - its really pretty as it has orange and blue fibres embedded within it - so I decided to use this as my colour palette.  I added extra splashes of blue metallic, gold and orange watercolour paint to the mulberry paper.
I used several nesting circle dies to cut out the aperture and the different circles for my card.

Once the main image and the pumpkins were coloured in with my Promarkers (see below for the colours), I fussy cut them out and adhered them to my card.

I blended a little distress ink over the sentiment, added some doodling around the edge of the card and then finished off with some orange sparkly sequins.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Sending Snow Hugs with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone and a happy Friday...I hope that you have had a great week and  are looking forward to the weekend.

We've been busy pruning this week and we've more or less finished one of the terraces...another two to do !  We've decided to have a quiet chilling sort of day today, a little pottering around doing small  jobs as were out on a 10Km walk tomorrow so need to conserve the energy and our feet !

It's still beautiful and sunny during the day but the nights are definitely getting colder and i think well have the log burner on very soon.

Today I'm here with a Christmas card for Pink Gem Designs using the very cute new digital stamp Christmas Luna - isn't she a sweetheart

This is a gorgeous  set of stamps that included a black line image, a pre-coloured version and 2 sentiments.

She reminds me of the little girl  Cindy Lou Who from the Christmas film The Grinch.

I have created a landscape A6 (UK Size), resizing the image to suit and adding one of the sentiments, before printing out onto alcohol friendly cardstock.

I normally use Transotype Perfect Colouring Paper 250g/m for my colouring printing it out at a reduced black intensity of around 40%  to prevent any bleeding and give a softer grey outline which I prefer.

Once coloured in with my Promarkers (see below for the colours), I used a snow stencil and clear embossing paste to add snow to the background.  Once this was completely dry I have blended a couple of distress inks across the sky - the stencil paste resists the ink.

To mount the image onto my card base I have added a panel of blue and silver glitter card and then finished off the design with sparkle on the Christmas trees and Luna's boots.

I really hope that you like my  card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #717 - Winter

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope your week is going well....so all the olives have been picked and pressed and we are now onto pruning the trees.

It's definitely a lot easier this year as the trees are in a better shape and there's not as much dead wood to remove - we've got lots of lovely wood ready too for our log burner, to keep us warm once Winter sets in although at the moment its still t-shirts whilst we are working outside.

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Colour of Love

The theme this week chosen by Kitty for Team 2 is - Winter

I chose to use a beautiful digital image called Candle Witch, which is actually in the Autumn/Halloween section of the shop but I choose to colour her in some lovely wintery colours and making her super sparkly and am really pleased with how she looks.

I resized the image for a larger 5" x 7" card, printed her out and coloured her in using my promarkers, limiting my colours for this amazing image.

Once completed I've layered her up on some super sparkly blue glitter card, designer paper and I also die cut the large Winter word from glitter card to add to the bottom.

Don't forget there will be a prize for the Winner of the challenge - there are more details over on the Passion for Markers blog.

I used a brick stencil with a little distress ink to add a little detail behind the witch and also blended some yellow distress ink around the candles to give a glowing effect.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the

New Release - Jolly Santa - Merry Christmas Banner with Polkadoodles

Hello and happy Sunday everyone - Just a quick post from me today as we our busy in the garden pruning our olive trees.

I'm back today on my blog to share one of my cards using the fabulous new Jolly Santa Collection by Polkadoodles

It's the latest release by Nikky and I think it's perfect and I'm sure you will too. As always there are black and white digital stamps for you to colour, pre-coloured versions if you prefer, 2 paper bundles and a fabulous bundle of sentiments.  There is a wonderful 40% off the price at the moment so don't hang around and miss out.

Don't forget if you want some more inspiration for this collection why not have a look in the Inspiration Gallery on the website.

For my first card, which is a larger 5" x 7" size, I have used the lovely Santa Merry Christmas Banner digital, coloured with Promarkers and then used distress inks to blend around the background to create a wintery sky, cutting this out with an arched die.  It's hard to see in the photo but the background has been splattered with blue ink and then I've used my sparkle pen to add dots of snow across the panel.

I cut and arch frame form some super shiny gold mirri gold for the panel to sit in, layering this up for dimension.

I die cut a snow bank from white glitter card stock and added some little sparkly snowflakes around the design.

The beautiful snowflake paper is from the collection and I've mounted this flat on my card base.

I hope that you like my Christmas card today from this wonderful new Jolly Santa collection by Polkadoodles and you'll be back to see another card from me very soon.

I love Promarkers #547 Love is in the air Sponsored by Colour of Love

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday! I hope that you are having a lovely week.

We finished harvesting our olives on Sunday and they have all been pressed at our local mill...quite a good harvest this year, just under 1 tonne in weight which has yielded around 160 litres of olive oil so not bad considering.

We have 80 Olive trees and it's taken us around 7 years to get them back into a good shape, lots of pruning to bring the height down and get rid of all the dead wood so it's not as time consuming when we pick.  We pick by hand, no machines and no help, just me and John which is hard work, but it's definitely worth the time and effort and the taste of our own olive oil is amazing.

I'm on my blog today for the new bi-weekly I Love Promarkers blog challenge , it would be wonderful if you joined us over there if you love to colour with alcohol markers and don't forget there are prizes up for grabs.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Colour of Love

Here is my inspiration card for the current blog challenge with the theme - Love is in the air, using a sweet digital stamp called Rory's Owl Friends and this is going to my cousin for her Christmas card this year.....Owl's are a favourite so I thought this was the perfect image.

Its a simple a6 Christmas card, with a layer of pink glitter card stock and the focus on the beautiful image.  Once coloured in I have gently blended blue distress ink around the image and added white dots of snow in the sky.

The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed and added to the bottom of the card using card scraps for dimension.  I've added some blue distress ink around the sentiment and then scattered heart clay confetti around the design to finish it off and to add to the them of Love is in the air.

I really hope that you like my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

Digi Choosday - Thank you cards with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday.  Wishing you all a lovely day today and that you enjoy the week ahead, I hope that you have something nice planned.

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is Thank you or Thanksgiving so I decided to make a sweet and simple thank you card, what better way to say thankyou to a special friend.  I love to send cards like this, just because and not for a particular event or occasion...but this one is for my BFFs birthday yesterday.

I decided to create an inky background panel to start with using 3 warmer colours of distress inks, using water and watercolour cardstock. I dried this off between each layer of colour and then once completely dry used a simple stitched die to cut out a smaller panel for my A6 card, leaving a large white border around the design.

Next I resized the sweet Noodle Panda image to suit the design and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock before colouring with my Promarkers (see below) and then fussy cutting out.

To add interest to the design I mounted the inky panel into the centre of my A6 card blank and added a stitched die cut border to the bottom of the image.

I added a few pieces of sparkly pink confetti around the design to finish it off, all ready for posting to my bestie.

I have a very special DT discount code that you can use for all your shopping on the Polkadoodles online shop at checkout use WENDYJ-10 and you will get 10% of your entire purchase (not in conjunction with other discount codes!)

Snow Much Fun - GDT Shaker Card with JMC Designs

Hello everyone  I hope that you have are having lovely day today.

I have some very exciting news to share ! I have been invited to join the Guest Design Team for JMC Designs and I have to say that I'm so excited about this as there are some fabulous quirky and cute designs that I'm going to be working with...some are definitely a very different style for me.

Today I'm here to share my first GDT card that I've made using the November freebie Warm Hugs.

At the start of every month Julia McNeill very generously gives away a fabulous digital stamp, which is available to everyone in her Facebook group JMC's Crazy Crafty Hive and also to her followers via Instagram, all you need is to use your email address to register for the stamp.

When I saw this sweet image I knew I had to make a snow globe card for it!  I've seen loads of snow globe  card designs lately and thought it would be perfect as a shaker card.  Most of them use fancy dies but I've improvised and used some simple circle dies.

It's a 6" x 6" card and I'm so pleased with how it looks -  I wish you could see the sparkle and shine in the photos.   I hope that Julia is happy too!

For the background of the card, I delved into my crafty little hoard and found some deep blue mulberry paper that I've had for many many moons so started by adhering this to a piece of white cardstock before splattering liberally with silver and blue metallic inks.

I used a couple of nesting circle dies to cut out an aperture in this background card and also to cut a thin frame that was adhered to the opening to resemble a Snow Globe.

The centre circle cut from the frame was adhered directly to the base of my card blank and I've added a couple of snowy banks of white card to the bottom of this circle, blended with a little blue distress ink.

I cut a panel of white craft foam, cutting out an aperture to match the base and adhered this to the base card with wet glue.  Once dry I filled this with sparkly glitter and false snow and then encapsulated this with a piece of acetate.

I used a Posca paint pen to add snow to the acetate.

Once the sweet image was coloured in with my Promarkers (see below for the colours), I fussy cut this out and then adhered onto the first layer of acetate.

A second piece of acetate, again with snow dots painted on was adhered over the blue frame to enclose the image.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !
