Big Birthday Wishes - Tons of Love with Polkadoodles

Hello and happy Thursday everyone....I hope that you are enjoying the week.....I think I have caught up with myself now after my trip - its amazing how long its taken me....unpacking, washing and catching up on sleep !

I'm back today to share another card made using the gorgeous new Tons of Love collection
by Polkadoodles

Elephants are my absolute favourite animal - I would have a real one in my garden if it was allowed !

If you haven't looked yet, it's a great digital collection for all sorts of projects, Valentines, birthdays, New Babies, Spring cards and lots more and as always there are black and white digital stamps for you to colour and pre-coloured versions if you prefer.  There are 3 gorgeous paper bundles, a fabulous bundle of sentiments and there's also a set of elephant number images for those special birthday celebrations too.

Don't forget if you want some more inspiration for this collection why not have a look in the Inspiration Gallery on the website.

Today's sweet card is using the digital stamp Gift Time, he is such a happy chap and who wouldn't want a present with him on top!

This is an A6 popup card, I'm loving this style at the moment as they are so easy to make.

To make the card base I have used a cherry red card stock with a mat layer of deep red and then used 3 papers from the collection on the different panels of the card.

For the centre popup panel I used a fabulous ricrac style die to cut a piece of the deep red card added a die cut layer of paper and then the cute elephant to the top with foam tape for dimension.

The elephant with his present has been coloured with Promarkers (see below for colours) and then fussy cut out.

To finish off my card I die cut different sized stars with some of the papers and adhered these around the design along with lots of gold confetti, star sequins and shimmer.

The sentiment  is from the collection cut into a simple strip, layered onto deep re card with a touch of distress ink to take away the stark white of the card.

I hope that you like my card full of love today from this wonderful new Tons of Love by Polkadoodles and you'll be back to see another card from me very soon.

Hasta luego ðŸ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Sending Sweet Thoughts for a happy, hoppy Easter with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday - it's a public holiday here today to celebrate Andalucía Day so were hoping to pop into town to see whats going on, usually food and drink and loads of speeches !

I'm here today to share another sweet Easter card that I've made using another new digital stamp called Easter Gnome by  Pink Gem Designs

Just look at those cute bunny ears! I wonder of they  are his or part of his hat....

This is a simple A2 (US size) card with a background mat layer of sparkly glitter card, die cut with a stitched edge die.

I used two glitter cards to coordinate with my Easter theme, adhering these flat to my cream card blank.

Next I resized the Gnome with his Easter eggs before printing out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock and colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours).

Once coloured I die cut the Gnome panel and then mounted this with card to give extra dimension.

The sentiment from Polkadoodles was printed out and foiled and then adhered to the bottom of the Gnome panel, with a layer of glitter cardstock for a bit more sparkle.

To complete my card I added some white gelly roll pen.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #728 - Fabulous Florals

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day !

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Fabulous Florals' has been chosen by Karen for team 2 and being sponsored by Colour of Love

I chose to use one of the digital images called Little Black- eyed Susan Flower Cup for my card today.... Isn't she a sweetheart.

This is a 5 x 7 portrait card with two die cut frames of black and honey yellow card to coordinate with the image.

The image was resized to suit the card, printed on a laser printer and then coloured with my Promarkers.  After colouring I have used a black Minc foil to add gorgeous shine to the image.  The Minc foil is basically applied to all of the LaserJet printed areas - so the outline of the image and it gives a wonderful and very professional look - far better than black heat embossing as the detail is amazing.

The sentiment from Polkadoodles was also printed out and foiled in black and I added this to the bottom of the card, matted on black card strips.

To finish off my design I have added a touch of clear sparkle to the wings of the little fairy.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

I Love Promarkers #553 - Under the Sea - Sponsored by Colour of Love

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday!

I'm on my blog today for the new bi-weekly I Love Promarkers blog challenge , it would be wonderful if you joined us over there if you love to colour with alcohol markers and don't forget there are prizes up for grabs.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Colour of Love

Here is my inspiration card for the current blog challenge with the theme - Under the Sea, using this super cute digital stamp Eleanor Mer's Whale Love

Todays card is a 5" x 7"  with two layers of sparkly glitter card with a die cute arch in the centre to create my magical Under the Sea scene.

The digital image was resized and printed before colouring with promarkers before mounting directly onto the card blank.

The layers of glitter card were adhered over the top to frame the image.

Leaf dies were then used to cut out the leaves to represent more seaweed and I used distress ink to add detail and shading.
The seaweed was then added at the bottom of the card over the top of the image.

The sentiment was stamped onto black card and heat embossed in white before cutting into a simple strip and mounting towards the bottom of the design.

To finish off my card I added glossy accents to the water bubbles, sparkle to the mermaid and a few pieces of confetti around the card.

I really hope that you like my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

Digi Choosday - Mother's Day - January girl - I've been thinking about you with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday.  Wishing you all a lovely day today and that you enjoy your week ahead...

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is Mother's Day so I decided to make a Thinking of you card, Mother's Day is always a difficult day for so many of us and I decided to make this card to send to a special friend just to let her know that I'm thinking about her!

I chose to use a digital stamp from the beautiful January collection called Glass Half Full, she's so sweet and perfect for the card I wanted to send.

This is a very simple Pop up card that fits into an A6 envelope.  The card base has been cut from teal cardstock and then I've layered a colourful dotty paper from the Happy Cactus collection.

I used this colour palette to colour my

January girl before die cutting out with a circle die.  I blended a little teal distress ink around the edge of the image and added some coordinating die cut hearts and gems. For a little extra detail I die cut two borders from the teal card and adhered these to the edges of the card.

The sentiment was printed onto thin card and foiled in teal with my Minc Machine, before adding t to bottom of the popup panel.

Just a few co-ordinating gems were added to the hearts on the card.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles

A Snowflake is a Winter's Butterfly with JMC Designs

Hello everyone Happy Monday I hope that you had a great weekend.  It's time for me to post my next project for JMC Designs

For my card today I have used the Winter Whispers Digital Collection... It's still officially Winter here and I can just about see the snow on the Sierra Nevada but the temperatures have been more like early summer and the snow is disappearing fast.

Still chilly in the evenings and were making use of the log burner but its definitely not cold!

For todays card I decided to use the beautiful digital stamp  Arctic Sparkle, resizing her  to suit my 5" x 7" card and colouring with my Promarkers.  Iv'e added lots of sparkly highlights and shimmer to this Wintery girl.

Next I created my background panel, I've used the snowflake accessories that are included in the complete collection, adding these to my card panel before printing on my LaserJet printer.  To add sparkle I've then used teal foil for added sparkle.

Once foiled I then used several distress inks to add colour to the panel and then splattered with water droplets and droplets of blue distress ink.

As well as looking beautiful, the foil acts as a resist to the ink and gives a beautiful shine to the card.

The sentiment from the complete collection was also printed out and foiled in silver

I have added little sparkles around the panel with a white gel pen and adhered a few sparkly gems.

The background panel was mounted onto silver mirror card, along with the sentiment and then adhered to a white card base and the coloured focal image adhered using foam tape for dimension.

I added some of the tiny gems to the bottom of her skirt too, to tie in with the background.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Love, chocolate and sunshine - Easter Swing Gnome with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Saturday and a great weekend.

I'm here today to share a sweet Easter card that I've made using a very cute new digital stamp called Easter Swing Gnome by  Pink Gem Designs

This is a simple 6" x6" card with a popup frame.  I covered the frame and the base of the card with a couple of designer papers and assembled the pop up element onto my Kraft card blank.

The Gnome on the swing was resized and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock, before colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours) and fussy cutting out.

I have attached the gnome on a strip of acetate, gluing only along the branch fro the swing so that the image hangs in the card aperture.

The sentiment from Polkadoodles was printed out and foiled and then adhered flat to the card panel, with a layer of green cardstock.

To complete my card I added some shiny green sequins and a few highlights around the design with a white gelly roll pen.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.
