Happy Halloween with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone - Wishing you a lovely Monday and a good week ahead.

Halloween is finally here and I'm sharing my final card with you today.

This last card has been made using the 'offcuts' from the card that I made yesterday - If you want to know how I did this then head back to my previous blog post.

I've kept this fairly simple ans I love the contrast of the bright coloured strips against the white background.  Such an easy card to create and I think perfect for the final image from the Ghostly Good Time digital stamp set.

The coloured ghost has been popped up on to my card panel a few black gems added and my simple sentiment strip added towards the bottom of the card.

Before I go I want to share a special treat for you all!

Last Minute Manda is giving a discount in the new shop for everyone from now until the end of the year of all digital downloads.

All you need to do is use the discount code at the checkout and you will get 25% off your basket.

I really hope that you have enjoyed seeing my Halloween cards and if you are out tonight enjoy Trick or Treating !

Just here for the Boos with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone and a happy Sunday!

I'm here today in blogland with my Penultimate card in my Halloween card series for Last Minute Manda.

For someone that doesn't really do Halloween - I can honestly say I have loved creating cards with the super cute   Ghostly Good Time digital stamp set and I've loved all the different looks and styles of card.

I have used the same colour palette for this card but my background piece is a little different today.

I have in my stash a number of pre-cut plain white card background panels, they were part of a monthly subscription kit from Craftwork Cards several years ago so decided to dig these out and get my distress inks out.

There are several dies on the market now that allow you to create this same or similar looking panel so its worth having a shop around.

I began by securing my panel to my glass mat with a very low tack tape - I wanted to leave a white border around the panel too and then used my purple, green and orange distress inks to blend across the panel.

Once I was happy with the amount of colour and blending I carefully splattered water droplets across the panel followed by ink splatter using the same colours with the addition of some black watercolour paint.

I left the panel to one side to dry completely before removing the masking tape

I decided to make two cards from this single ink blended piece so after carefully removing the masking tape I flipped the panel over and applied glue carefully to the strips that would be released from the main panel.

Next I placed the whole piece over a pre scored A6 card blank, applied gentle pressure to the panel and then once I was happy the glue had adhered I carefully removed the main panel - leaving strips of coloured card adhered to my card blank.

For todays card I decided to adhere a piece of black card behind the window effect panel.

I do love when you can make two cards at once!

I die cut two circles of card one white and one in black to adhere to the centre of my card and then used foam tape to fasten the cute ghost on to my card.

The finishing touches were the addition of some black gems and my sentiment

I hope that you like my card today and you'll pop back tomorrow to see my final card in this Halloween series.

There will also be a special treat coming tomorrow too so don't miss out!

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Too Cute to Spook with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone - It's Saturday again and really scary just how fast the weeks are flying by! It'll be 'You know what' in no time ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ„

I hope that you have had a lovely week and something wonderful planned for the weekend. I imagine there will be lots of Halloween parties planned and maybe a little early trick or treating over this weekend.

I'm back here today with my fourth Halloween card in my mini series for Last Minute Manda.

As with my previous cards I've used a digital stamps from the Ghostly Good Time digital stamp set

I have had the sugar skull paper in my stash for far too many years and thought it was perfect as a background to use with this cutie. I love how bright and colourful it is and works perfectly with my little ghost.

Because the background paper is so colourful I decided to adhere the cute ghost on a simple die cut circle of white card that I have inked around the edge with orange distress ink...this helps to differentiate between the busy background and the focal image....a layer of vellum would have worked also !

Just some simple layering on purple cardstock with a coordinating paper, some orange cardstock ricrac and a simple spooky sentiment to finish off the card.

Don't go yet....there's some exciting news !

Now you have seen a few cards that I have made with this digital stamp set, I can reveal that if you are a member of the Kit and Clowder Facebook group, this set is the freebie available to all group members from today for 1 week only, so don't forget to head over to the Facebook group, follow the instructions to download this cute set and get those last minute Halloween projects made. It's only available for free for one week !

If you aren't already a member then its a wonderful and friendly group and the colouring classes by Alyce Keegan are brilliant for beginners right through to anyone wanting to improve their colouring skills.

If you use my special DT code Wendy25 you can get 25% off your purchases in the new shop  lastminutemanda

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share in this series.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

New Release - Ginger Holly with Polkadoodles - Ginger Crumbs

Hello everyone - its Friday Yeah! and today I am so excited because I can start to share my samples for the latest new digital release from Polkadoodles

This super cute new collection of digital stamps, papers and of course sentiments was launched by Nikky Hall last night - if you didn't manage to watch here is a link so you can watch in catch up.

The new collection is called Gingerbread Holly and there are some very cute images that will be perfect for all of your Christmas projects.  If you head over to the website there is currently a wonderful 35% discount off the collection (for a limited time only) and for those Polkadoodles VIP's you should have received an email yesterday with a very special discount just for you.

I can't tell you how much fun I had working with this new release and I look forward to sharing more of my projects with you over the next few weeks.  There is also lots more inspiration for you for this collection from the DT over on the Polkadoodles ideas gallery.

My first larger 5 x 7 card is using one of the new papers from the collection and the sweet digital Ginger Crumbs which I have coloured using my Promarkers.  He is also available as a prerecorded digital so don't worry if you prefer not to colour yourself.

I've created some card Ricrac using a wavy border die and simply layered him up on die cuts.  The Oh Crumbs sentiment is in the collection and I've used some puffy stickers at the bottom of the card, coloured to match my little gingerbread man.

For my crumbs on the floor at his feet I've simply cut out some Kraft card unevenly by hand - Poor Ginger......I bet his head hurts with that bite taken out of him !

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from this new collection

Let's Get Spooky with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone - wishing you a lovely Saturday! I hope that you have had a lovely week.

I'm back here today with my third Halloween card in my mini series for Last Minute Manda.

This is another of the cute digital stamps from the Ghostly Good Time digital stamp set. These digitals are excellent value for money and there are so many different ways they can be used.

Today I decided to create a spooky purple cloudy back ground using one of my stencils and a couple of distress inks - purple for the clouds and then black around the edge  of the panel to draw the eye in to the centre of the card and to give it a mysterious feel. There are splatters of silver watercolour paint also in the background to give a magical look.

I think this particular image would be perfect for Halloween party invitations with his delicious looking martini, not sure about the eyeballs I think I would rather have olives ๐Ÿ˜‚ I wonder what my little ghost is drinking ?? hmm๐Ÿค”

I decided to add a Catherine wheel lolly to my ghost using my graphics software on the computer before printing him out ready for colouring.

The main image again has been coloured with my Promarkers (see below for colours used) sticking with the Triadic Halloween colour palette and I've added just a touch of sparkle to the stars although you cant really see this in the photo.

If you use my special DT code Wendy25 you can get 25% off your purchases in the new shop  lastminutemanda

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share in this series.

Snowman and friends with Polkadoodles

Hello and Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today is Digi Choosday over at Polkadoodlesthe start of a new challenge over on the blog and also a great time to shop on the website as there is a fabulous discount code valid until midnight tonight (UK time).

I'm back today with my Polkadoodles Design Team project for the Digi Choosday Tuesday Challenge and this week the team was asked to create a card/project using a Snowman with an animal or bird.

For my project I've used the Snowman and Friends digital stamp from the Winnie White Christmas collection coloured with my Promarkers (see below) before fussy cutting and adding to my wintery scene.

To keep the snowman white I decided to use my Pan pastels with just a touch of pale blue applied around the edges.

I love this image so much and wanted to keep the card really simple but striking so decided to create an ink blended background for my cute little groups of friends.  I created a paper hillside stencil and used my distress oxide inks to create my scene before adding water splashes and splatters of iridescent medium for extra sparkle.

The sentiment that I chose to use is from the Winnie White Christmas sentiment bundle, printed onto vellum and then cut into a banner shape with a little sparkle added to the edge of the banner before being adhered to the card.

I think I'll be making a few more of these for this years Christmas cards as I love how it turned out.

I hope that you like my card today ๐ŸŒž

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Card recipe:
Polkadoodles digital stamp - Winnie White Christmas - Snowman and friends

Winsor and Newton Iridescent medium

Promarkers used :

Snowman scarf:    burgundy, poppy, lipstick red

Snowman nose:    burnt orange, mandarin, pumpkin

Kitty:                    pumpkin, apricot, pastel yellow
                            pale pink

Have a Spooky Halloween with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone - wishing you a lovely Saturday ! I hope you have all had a good week. We went out with friends this week to celebrate 5 years living in Spain permanently.

It was lovely to share our special day down on the coast having a delicious meal at one of our favourite restaurants - if anyone is ever in Nerja I can highly recommend going to The Curry House The food is wonderful and the staff are so friendly and their attention is always second to non.

I'm back today with my second Halloween card in my mini series for Last Minute Manda.

Todays card again is using the oh so cute  Ghostly Good Time digital stamp set .
Just a simple card layout with a little stencilling on the background panel.

I forgot to mention last week - the black sentiment strips I have used on all of my Halloween cards is created by me using a Halloween font downloaded from CreativeFabrica

The main image again has been coloured with my Promarkers (see below for colours used) sticking with the Triadic Halloween colour palette which was perfect for the strip of designer paper that I used from my stash.

Ill let you into a little secret - I had to google the little cone shaped sweets, to learn what they were and how to colour them too ! - apparently this is candy corn and very popular in the US.

Have you had a chance yet to have a look at the new Last Minute Manda store ?

There are some wonderful digital stamps for colouring and did you know there are pre-coloured images too if you prefer not to colour... why not head over and take a look...and if you fancy a bit of shopping if you use my DT discount code Wendy25 you will get 25% off your shopping !

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share in this series.
