New Release - Stamps - Happy Christmas with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Monday.... I hope you had a great weekend.... we had a wonderful meal yesterday with friends, trying out a new (to us) restaurant that has been created in an old train carriage.  It was also an opportunity to take the new car out for a little spin too.

What an amazing experience and the food was delicious so we'll definitely be returning I'm sure.

I'm here today to share my next design team project for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using the super cute new A5 stamp set is called Happy Christmas , its available to buy in their Etsy shop and its so versatile and very easy to colour.  Perfect timing for those last minute Christmas cards.

I decided to create a landscape slimline gingerbread card, stamping and colouring three gingerbread men onto alcohol marker friendly card, colouring them with my promarkers (see below for colours) and then fussy cutting them out by hand.

For the background of the card I used some distress oxide inks to create my dreamy looking  snow landscape, blending over Kraft card and adding snowy dots and highlights here and there with a posca pen.

I die cut the letters from the Krafty Christmas 8" x 8" paper pad - I have been hoarding these papers since I first bought them many many moons ago as they were too scrumptious to use but as they are also now available digitally on the website I thought perfect time to use them, as there will always be more now!

The background panel was adhered to a loopy panel of brown glitter card and the card assembled first adding the letters flat to the card and then the gingerbread  using foam tape for dimension.

I then created my scene, adding the stamped images, some flat to the card and others adhered using foal tape to add dimension to the card.

The finishing touches were then added, glossy accents to the icing on the gingerbread of sparkly iridescent sequins  around the design.

Sending Love - Bumble Buzz Digital collection with Julia McNeill Designs

Hello everyone Happy Friday - Yay the best day of the week ! (and I'm retired lol)

I hope that you have all had a great week and have something nice planned for the weekend, hopefully we'll be wandering into town this evening for a few drinks at our favourite bar.

It's nearly the middle of September and Autumn is definitely here...the evenings are cooling off fast and the daytime temperatures are in the low to mid 30's so a lovely respite after the high temperatures of this Summer.

Today I'm sharing a project for JMC Designs  that I've created using the absolutely gorgeous Bumble Buzz Digital Collection.

The gorgeous digital collection contains
  • 15 Digital Stamps
  • 15 Pre Coloured Digital Stamps
  • 6 Ephemera Sheets
  • 5 Topper Sheets
  • 4 Sentiment Sheets
  • 23 papers.
and I think there's definitely something for everyone, if you love to colour or not.

For my card today I chose one of the gorgeous pre-coloured roses from the ephemera and the pink and brown striped paper.  I love making cute character based cards but sometimes we need a card that's less cutesy and this rose stem is perfect for a more grown up but still whimsical look.

I wanted an Autumn flavoured card so have teamed this with some lovely chocolate brown satin card using one of my dies to cut a scalloped frame for my DL card.

I blended a little pink distress ink onto a white DL panel and then used some pink metallic watercolour to splatter across this panel.

Next I fussy cut the rose stem from the ephemera in the collection and then added this to the card using some 3D silicone glue gel for dimension.  The sentiment is a simple word die that I have layered chocolate card and white card on top to give a drop shadow.

The finishing touches were some drops of glossy accents on the petals and leaves, to resemble water droplets and a few pieces of rose confetti.

I do hope that you like my card for today and Id love it if you'd leave me a comment.

Bitty Bear with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone and happy Monday!

I hope that you all have a lovely week ahead.  I'm busy making Christmas cards and today I'm here to share a cute scene card that I've made for Last Minute Manda

This cute little bear is from the Bitty Bear Christmas set

I decided to create a Winter scene card for this cute little bear with his Christmas tree, lights and bauble.

I've had the scene background papers in my stash for far too long and thought they were perfect for a DL card.

I've matted the background onto a piece of navy card and then heat embossed a sentiment onto the panel. Using Navy still gives a great contrast but doesn't look as harsh.

Some simple glittery sparkles added to the background and then I've adhered the bear to my card using some low profile foam tape.  A really easy card but I think perfect when you have loads to make.

If you head over to the new Last Minute Manda store font forget to use my special discount code Wendy25 to get 25% off your shopping.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my cute Christmas card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
