Here's a gorgeous 6" x 6" card using another of the wonderful wintery scenes from the collection, resizing this for my card before printing out.  These scenes make cards so easy to create I'm sure you will love them.

There's loads of inspiration from the Polkadoodles Design team on the website in the gallery if you are looking for more ideas

Today I'm sharing my first card  perfect for all those Winter celebrations and very easy to create.  It's an adorable and super sparkly A6 landscape (UK size) card.

I've used one of the wonderful wintery scenes from the collection, resizing this for my card before printing out.  Then I have added a peice of double sided sticky sheet over the entire background before covering with super sparkly fine glitter.

Its an old bit magical technique called the Cracked Ice technique and perfect for those hoards of glitter that I'm sure we all have!  If you want a demonstration of this technique then there is a great YouTube video from 3 years ago by Jamie Rodgers that's worth a watch - here is the link

Once the background scene was complete and all the glitter completely burnished onto the card I adhered this panel to my card blank.  Theo with his ice cream was resized and printed out onto alcohol friendly card before colouring with my Promarkers (see below for colours) and then fussy cutting out by hand.

I added a die cute frame of silver mirri card to the card before adhering Theo at the bottom of the scene with foam tape for dimension.

The winter sentiment was layered onto more silver mirri card and added to the top left corner of the card.

The finishing touches were some white gelly roll pen highlights to Theo.  A super simple and very sparkly Winter card.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from the new Snowy Days collection by Polkadoodles.

Happy Dance Christmas Cards with Amanda Jayne Designs

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Monday!

We have had a very busy weekend and quite a few unplanned late nights so a few quieter days are on the cards (fingers crossed).

Today I am sharing some Christmas cards that I have made for Amanda Jayne Designs

Most of the cards I make are unique one off designs, but at Christmas I like to batch make cards and this digital image is perfect to make lots of quick, simple and very cute cards.

This pre-coloured image is called  Happy Dance and I printed it out several times adding different Christmas sentiments to make each card slightly different before printing, but using the same layout.

Don't they look happy - it just makes you smile
I think this image would make a perfect Winter birthday card too as who could resist this cute cow and his sweet penguin friend.

The images were cut out using a nesting die and frames added in the lilac cardstock.

I love the combination of purple and teal!

These beautiful pre-coloured images are so adorable and I think they don't need much adding to create a set of wonderful cards

To finish off my cards I have added some sparkly gems to each design.

I really hope that you like my cards today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Sparkle All the Way with Amanda Jayne Designs

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Saturday!

It's getting pretty hot again here after a very brief respite so I thought today I would share another Christmas project made for Amanda Jayne Designs Only a few days left of Christmas is July.

I just cant get enough of this super cute penguin - called Gift Penguin but this is my last card with him ( I promise !) well for now at least, I cant promise he wont pop up again sometime.

For my third card I decided to create a traditional shaker A6 (UK size) card with lots of extra sparkle.

The papers I have used are from the Mint Christmas collection and I have added a sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments set at the bottom of my design

These beautiful pre-coloured images are so adorable and I think they don't need much adding to create a wonderful card.

To finish off my card I have added some sparkly sequins over the outside panel to match the sequins inside the shaker itself.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

A Gift Just for You with Amanda Jayne Designs

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Sunday !

I'm back today to share another Christmas project for Amanda Jayne Designs

I chose to use the super cute penguin coloured printable - called Gift Penguin again as I think he is just the sweetest little chap and I couldn't resist - I've made three cards actually but you'll have to wait to see the third card next Saturday!

For my second card I decided to print out one of the smaller of the images from the set and create a portrait A6 (UK size) card

I have created a snowy background for him blending two distress inks to create the sky and then added snow using a stencil, stencil paste and glitter dust.

For the snowy hills I chose one of the papers from the Mint Christmas collection for the snowy hills and a hillside die.

The little penguin was fussy cut out and then added to the background using foam tape and I have added a sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments set at the bottom of my design

To finish off my card I have added some sparkly glitter over the falling snow across the image and just a little on the ground beneath the image.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Sending Festive Hugs with AmandaJayneDesigns

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Friday! I hope that you all had a great week and have a lovely weekend planned.

I'm very excited today to be sharing my first project for Amanda Jayne Designs and as its July and all about crafters making our Christmas cards and Projects, for my first cards I chose to use a super cute penguin coloured printable - called Gift Penguin

I thought that a circular card would be a great shape with this image so used my circular dies to create a round card base and then used the smaller dies to cut out my base layer of the image which I have added to the card base.

I added just a touch of distress ink to the sky portion of the design.

Next I fussy cut three extra layers of the design and have added these to the image for extra dimension using foam squares.

Finally I have used glossy accents to the beak and feet and Sparkly glitter over the snow and on the ground beneath the image.

For extra interest  I have chosen one of the papers from the Mint Christmas paper collection and used this to cover the envelope flap and added a circle of the same paper to the inside of the card.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers Blogspot Challenge #680 - Animals

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all !

I'm back today with a new DT Inspiration card for a Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Sheepski Designs. There are some lovely images over in the store, you'll be spoilt for choice, so why not take a look and join in the challenge.  Don't forget there will be a prize for the Winner of the challenge - there are more details over on the blog.

The Blog theme chosen by Kitty for Team 2 is Animals and this is my inspiration for the challenge made using a digital image from Sheepski Designs called The Huddle

There is something wonderful about penguins - I love watching them on nature programs and this image definitely reminds me of a recent David Attenborough series I've been watching, Planet Earth II, where the baby penguins huddled together to keep warm whilst their parents were away fishing.

I've created a magical Southern Lights in the sky for my little Huddle and found a perfect sentiment for my wintery card.

To create my sky I've blended distress oxide inks, splattered with water and then a little white acrylic paint, keeping it really simple.

The digital image is coloured with my Promarkers (see below for colours) and then I've fussy cut out and mounted at the bottom of the card with low profile foam tape, adding a little glitter in the snow to embellish my design.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Today marks the start of a new Challenge for December over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog
