Digi Choosday - Have a great Day - Colour Palette - CAS Card - Noodle Panda Collection - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week so far......I cant quite believe it's the middle of May already !

Summer has definitely arrived here and we've been so busy lately with friends staying, trying to get gardening done and even a little walking in the mountains.

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current
'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget t
he amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to make a card using the following colour palette

It's such a pretty set of colours, reminds me of ice cream flavours.... must be the heat LOL.
I decided to use one of the very cute images from the Noodle Panda Collection I know I probably shouldn't say but Noodle is probably my favourite character.

I wanted to create 2 really simple cards at once (why make one when you can make two ) so started off with a strip of card roughly 1 1/2 " in width and then adhered 1/2 " strips of coloured card to this to create a striped patterned, then cut this strip in half adhering each of these, on an angle to a panel of white card that I had already printed the sentiment onto.

Next I chose the sweet Gift Parcel Noodle, printing him out and colouring him with promarkers.  I decided to create 2 similar cards so resized the image to suit an A6 landscape card, flipping the image through 180 to create a different image.

The colours used were coordinate with the colour palette, each of my pandas having a slightly different colour palette.

To finish  off my clean and simple cards I added some fun clay swirls around the design, white gelly roll pen highlights and clear sparkle to the presents bows.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Meowy Christmas to you all with Mama Elephant

Hello everyone happy Tuesday!

You all know how much we love our kitties...we have 5 now although our newest edition to the family Marmalade is an absolute terror at times - she's a sweetheart most of the time and then a complete drama queen at 7 months old.

When I saw this stamp I know it would be perfect for a few of my cards this year and I m really pleased with how its turned out.

I decided to stamp the main image and the sentiment onto some Kraft card and have then coloured it in using my wonderful Polychromos pencils.

I kept the design really simple adding little touches of sparkle to the baubles and stars.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll come back to see my next project

It's the most magical time of the year with Mama Elephant

Happy Saturday everyone... I hope that you are all well and are having a lovely weekend.

I'm back today with another Christmas card to add to my stash of cards for sending this year.

I treated myself a week or so to a couple of new stamps for Christmas and some stencils and this is the first of the cards I've had chance to make - I cant believe how busy we have been lately and were hoping to start harvesting the olives next week...so no rest for the wicked as they say.

Its a CAS or clean and simple card, the large sentiment stamped onto the card panel and then the cute image stamped onto separate card before being fussy cut out and adhered with foam tape for dimension.  Both have been simply coloured with coloured pencils for no fuss and I've added some sparkle to the little pom poms and in the background for that festive look.

The set includes a second large sentiment and some extra little shape stamps too!

The panel was layered with red card onto the A6 landscape card base. Definitely a good card for batch making!

I do hope that you like my card for today.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Hug in a mug - New Release - Hug in a Mug with Julia McNeil Designs

Hello everyone Happy Tuesday! Work has finally started on the renovation of the era or stone threshing circle at the front of the house...needless to say its going to take quite a few weeks and the noise and dust won't be pleasant but it needed doing...hopefully it will be the last big job at the farmhouse since we bought it and moved over 7 years ago.

I'm sharing a project today for JMC Designs as part of our Craftober challenge.

All this month over at JMC Designs we've been celebrating with a fabulous list of daily prompts to help inspire you to get creating.

I hope that you've been joining in but there's still plenty of time and you could be in with a chance of a prize from Julia...the winner will receive an A6 Stamp of their choice and a 30% discount off their next order!

All you need to do is create a project following the prompt for the day, using JMC Designs products and upload this to the Facebook group album.  JMC's Crazy Crafty Hive  If you don't have any products yet there are plenty of Freebies in the group once you have joined for you to use.

Here is the list of daily prompts for you to follow and the link to the fabulous friendly.

Today the prompt is to create a 'Clean & Simple' - another of my favourite styles but definitely not an easy style - I'm terrible at knowing when to stop.  I couldn't resist adding some shiny confetti to my design which probably breaks all of the CAS rules but hey ho its my design  and I love it!

It's similar to my one layer card with the stamp set, but I love this look.

I stamped the design and the sentiment from the stamp set using black onto alcohol friendly card before colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours) and then fussy cutting out.  I used a stitched die to die cut the sentiment.

I then splattered pink ink across the panel of card and blended a little more pink ink behind where the cup would be positioned.  I adhered the cup to the panel using foam tape for dimension, adding the sentiment below flat to the card to ground the image.

To finish off my card I couldn't resist adding a little shine, adhering rose pink coloured confetti around the design and glossy accents to the face on the cup.

I do hope that you like my card for today and I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment.

Bloom where you are planted - Fruitropolis Collection with Julia McNeill Designs

Hello everyone Happy Friday !

Today we are off into town for the day as its our town Feria so fingers crossed for the weather - we've had a few lovely cooler days and even a little rain but it's forecast to be 33 today so good timing for the festivities

I hope that you have all had a great week and have something nice planned for the weekend.

Today I'm sharing a project for JMC Designs  that I've created one of the stamps from the Fruitropolis stamp collection - The Orangery and one of the stencils from the Stencil Suite collection

It's quite a clean and simple card and would be great for lots of occasions I think.

I decided to create a one layer card - apart from the sentiment so started off by lightly adhering the Club stencil to a piece of 6" x 6" card stock, I then used the tree stamp from the Orangery set and stamped this 3 times into the centre of the stencil - the middle one was stamped first and then I masked this off to stamp the other two trees.

Leaving the stencil in place I used distress inks to create a cloudy sky, green for the grass and a little brown for the trunk of the Club tree.  I used the tiny little diamond stamp to create a little path.
I used distress inks to watercolour the trees and then finished off adding white highlights to the tree.  I outlined the club tree using a black Fineliner pen, added green coordinating sequins and then stamped the sentiment which is in the Pear Place set matting this onto black card before adding to the card. The doodled border was drawn onto the card panel before adding this to my card blank with a mat layer of black card

I do hope that you like my card for today and Id love it if you'd leave me a comment.

Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog - Guest Designer - CAS - Colorado Craft Company - Stay Curious!

Hello everyone happy Thursday ... I hope that your week has gone well so far...not long to go now until the weekend.

I'm back again to share my third card as Guest Chick for the month of September for the Krafty Chicks.

Every Thursday there is a new challenge on the Krafty Chicks blog and this week the challenge is CAS or Clean and Simple.

You can check out all the rules over on the blog itself and it would be wonderful if you join in with the fun.

I really love the CAS style of card but I definitely find it a challenge - knowing when to stop adding things so here is my CAS card project and I hope that you like it!

My card today is a standard white landscape A6 card blank with a simple mat layer of a white card for the design panel.

The image of the cute little dog investigating the plant pot is drawn by Anita Jeram for Colorado Craft Company and its such a sweet image and perfect for a CAS card.

I stamped the image using a brown Versafine Clair ink to give a softer look to the image and then used distress inks to watercolour the image.  To add extra depth and details I've used a combination of coloured pencils and a white gelly roll pen.

The sentiment is also part of this little stamp set and also stamped this is brown ink....and that's it, no sparkle and no extras, definitely CAS.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card for today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog - Guest Designer - Christmas - Polkadoodles - Lucy Monkman - All Hearts come home for Christmas

Hello everyone happy Thursday ... I hope that your week has gone well so far...not long to go now until the weekend.

I'm back again to share my second card as Guest Chick for the month of September for the Krafty Chicks.

Every Thursday there is a new challenge on the Krafty Chicks blog and this week the challenge is Christmas.

You can check out all the rules over on the blog itself and it would be wonderful if you join in with the fun.

So here is my Christmas card project and I hope that you like it!

My card today is a standard white portrait or tent fold UK A6 card blank with a simple mat layer of a purple glitter cardstock.

The image is by Polkadoodles from the Lucy Monkman collection and these images are some of my favourites - I love how simple they are and really eye catching - something very different and also very clean and simple.  The images are so easy to colour they are perfect for batch making at Christmas using different colour ways for completely different looks.  What could be easier?

I resized the sweet dog sitting on parcels digital stamp and added a digital sentiment to the design panel before printing out onto alcohol marker friendly card stock and colouring with my promarkers.

I added a little white gelly roll dots to the parcels  and then adhered the panel to the card blank.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card for today and will drop by again to see my next project.

You Captured My Heart - Cupcake Gnome with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Thursday and I hope that your week is going well.

I'm here today to share a sweet Valentine's card that I've made using a very cute brand new digital stamp called Cupcake Gnome by  Pink Gem Designs

I have to admit that I'm not a huge Gnome fan (I know shock horror as everyone seems to love them - maybe its a childhood thing but  think they are kind of creepy!) but I thought this was so sweet I couldn't resist colouring it up for this card.

This is a very Clean and Simple A6 card with lots of lovely white space. I resized the image, printing out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock, colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours) and fussy cutting out.

For my CAS card I die cut a white heart from card for my design and adhered this to my background panel, offset to the right, cutting off the overhanging portion.

The sentiment from Polkadoodles was printed out and foiled and then adhered flat to the card panel

To complete my card I layered the white panel onto a teal card stock, adding two thin strips of the same card on either side of the sentiment strip.  I then adhered the Gnome with foam tape, offsetting to the left of the design and added teal confetti to add some extra shine.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Just wanted to make you smile - Springtime Smiles with Polkadoodles

Happy Tuesday everyone I hope that you are having a good week.

It's that time again when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is Birds and Flowers with a CAS or Clean and Simple style so I chose to use this sweet little Chick with his umbrella for my card today.

I love making CAS cards but they are definitely a challenge but I'm really pleased with how this one has turned out....I always want to keep adding more to it but I think I'm getting better each time I make one.

I resized the cute chick with umbrella digital stamp on my computer and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly paper before colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours) and fussy cutting out.

I've used a 6" x 6" white card blank  for this card and then cut a smaller panel of white card at 5"x5" blending a little distress ink onto the panel behind where my chick will sit.

I've then used a pencil to draw a puddle on the ground for the chick to stand in and coloured this with my sparkle pens using a blue and a clear pen to look like water.

Next I have used the raindrop cluster stamp from the Hello Sunshine clear stamp set but you could easily draw these in with a pencil and then filled in the raindrops with clear sparkle.

The sentiment I have used is from the Winnie Daisy Fairy greeting bundle printed out and layered onto 3 pieces of card for dimension.

Finally I have used low profile foam to mount the panel onto the card blank and adhere my chick to the card.

I hope that you like my Clean and Simple card card for today and will come back to see my next project
