I Love Promarkers Blog - #534 Magical

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday! I hope that you are having a lovely week. Aren't the months flying by so quickly - I cant believe we are in May already

I'm on my blog today for the new bi-weekly I Love Promarkers blog challenge , it would be wonderful if you joined us over there if you love to colour with  alcohol markers and don't forget there are prizes up for grabs.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Ching-Chou Kuik.

There are so many beautiful dreamy and magical images in her Etsy Store to play with so it was really difficult to choose for today.

Here is my inspiration card for the current blog challenge with the theme of  Magical, using a fun image called Drifting Soul

What's more magical than this beautiful garden girl - I think she looks like a Fairy with her magical Dragon fly.

The word for a Dragonfly in Spanish is Libélula and its one of my favourite Spanish words it even sounds beautiful.....We are so lucky to see these beautiful creatures flying over our pool in the garden - they definitely seem magical

I chose to use lots of green for my beautiful girl  and coloured her with my promarkers (see below for colours ) before cutting her out.

Todays card is a 6" x 6" and I chose a beautiful leafy paper from Craft Consortium as my base layer, adding some die cut stitching details to the sides of this piece.

I die cut a panel of printed vellum from my stash using some new stitched dies that I've just received from Craft stash UK and then used one of my favourite embossing folders from Lisa Horton Crafts to add leaves. To highlight the leaves a little more I added a little green distress ink on the debossed side of the vellum.

I wanted to create some leaves with texture so I used a piece of green handmade mulberry paper from my stash and die cut this with a variegated leaf die before running it through the coordinating embossing folder - this creates a beautiful texture

The sentiment is a stamp from a set by Lili of the Valley that I've simply stamped with brown Versafine Clair ink and added a touch of green distress ink to tie this into my design.

The finishing touches are some sparkly gems around the design and clear sparkle to the dragonfly wings

I really hope that you have enjoyed my magical card for today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

Hasta luego 👋
