Digi Choosday - Sorry. Cant. Shopping. Bye - Shopping Card - Stand & Pop Card - Rebel & Wanda Collections - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week.

So June is nearly at an end and the weather here has been wonderful....sunny and hot but not too hot at night just yet.  We had a wonderful time last week with my lovely cousin and her hubby staying with us for a few days, lots of good food, relaxing by the pool and a little sightseeing too, probably far too much alcohol but hey ho.

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to make a shopping themed card so I decided to use one of the very cute pre-coloured images from the Rebel Girl Collection

I am not a lover of shopping, never have been, I find it really stressful but my cousin loves it with a passion, so this will be her birthday card in December.

My card today is a Stand and Pop card and Im loving how it looks - it was really easy to construct too and when folded flat fits into an A7 envelope (5" x 7"). If you'd like to make one then I would recommend watching a Youtube video by Sam Calcott - she has tutorials to make a few different sizes too!

The basic card measurements and shorelines are as follows.

Cardstock measuring as follows
  • 7 " x 4 1/2"
  • 9 " x 4 1/2" scored at 1" & 3"
  • 6 1/4" x 3" scored at 1/4" 1 1/4" 5 1/4"
  • 5" x 2"
  • 3" x 1" scored at 1/2", 2 1/2"
  • 4 1/4" x 6 7/8"

The card base was made from a lavender blue cardstock and I have used papers from the Rebel collection to decorate it.

The main Rebel Shopping image is pre-coloured and I have printed her twice and then decoupaged for dimension.

The little shopping bags and sentiments have been taken from the Wanda collection adding the sentiments to the bags in Canva before printing out and cutting out with my ScanNCut, there was a little bit of hand cutting for the bag handles as I haven't worked out how to do this yet LOL!

To finish off my card today I've scattered lots of pink confetti around the design to tie in with the pink colour palette.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers BlogSpot #753 - Add a Button - Sponsored by Polkadoodles

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day !

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Add a Button' has been chosen by Karen for team 2 and is being sponsored by Polkadoodles

For my card today I chose to use a cute digital image from the Wanda collection, this image is called Clumsy

Today I have created a faux stepper card that fits a standard 5" x 7" envelope, from green card stock. I have used a couple of papers from the Winnie Daisy Fairy 2 collection to mat and layer onto the panels.

The image was  resized to suit the card and printed out along with one of the digital sentiments from the collection onto alcohol friendly card stock. I then coloured the image of Wanda using with my Promarkers to coordinate with the bright colored papers.

I used a little distress ink to add a floor line for Wanda to stand on and then added little stars and some ink blending around the edge of the panel to take away the stark white of the card.

The button, from my stash was added to the bottom of the card using some emerald green twine and then I used my gelly roll pens to add highlights and sparkle around the design.

Once finished I added some purple confetti around the design.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

I Love Promarkers #555 - Use the Rainbow - Sponsored by Polkadoodles

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday!

I'm on my blog today for the new bi-weekly I Love Promarkers blog challenge , it would be wonderful if you joined us over there if you love to colour with alcohol markers and don't forget there are prizes up for grabs.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Polkadoodles

Here is my inspiration card for the current blog challenge with the theme - Use the Rainbow, using this super cute and sassy digital stamp from the Wanda collection, this is Fairy Ballerina Wanda. Everyone that knows me and follows me will know how much I love using colour so rainbows are just perfect for me as a theme and Wanda is one of my favourite sassy girls.

She is full of attitude.

I wanted to create a one layer card so started by choosing two digital papers from the Wanda collection.  I created an a6 panel in my graphics software adding one digital paper with rainbows and then added a strip of the blue dotty paper at the bottom of the panel.

She is all about magic so I chose one of the sentiments and added this across the blue spotty panel , changing the colour to purple.  Next I resized the digital image and added her to the card panel before printing out onto alcohol marker friendly card stock.

I used my promarkers to colour in Wanda using a rainbow of colours (see below for colours) and then to finish off the design used a cross stitch border die to add detail to the top and bottom of the panel.

The finishing touches were some glitter pen to her wings, a few clear iridescent sequins and stickles to the wand.

I really hope that you like my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

Wanda Girl - Born to Sparkle - Forced to Work with Polkadoodles

Hello and happy Sunday everyone...I hope that you are all enjoying the weekend.

I'm a little late posting today as we've been out on a lovely walk this morning down along the river bed, around 8Km with our local walking group so it was an early start at 7:45 to beat the heat of the sun....it was lovely and cool most of the time shaded by the bamboo along the river so really glad we made the effort.

Today on my blog I have something a little different to share with you.

Not a card but a handy little linen/cloth gift bag that I've upcycled using the fabulous new Wanda Girl Collection by Polkadoodles

For todays project I have used Wanda Girl Working to decorate a little bag
along with one of the fabulous sentiments from the collection.  The little bag was free and I have another project to share once I've finished it, using one of the linen shopping bags that you can reuse.

Its really easy to do - I simply printed the image and the sentiment as normal but onto copier paper and then used a small ball tool/stylus and some carbon paper to trace the image and the sentiment onto the bag.

Next I've simply coloured the image with acrylic paints!  I used one of my metallic Posca paint pens to colour the sentiment for a touch of sparkle.

Couldn't get much easier really - just think of the possibilities

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next projects I share from the Wanda Girl collection by Polkadoodles.

Wanda Girl is a fabulous and fun collection of digital stamps, topper sheets, planner elements, papers and sentiments and I think you will love them as there is definitely something for everyone and she is available in pre-coloured and black and white for you to colour.

For todays card I have used Wanda Girl Birthday to make a shaker card using one of the papers and a sentiment from the collection.

I added my sentiment to the digital paper in my graphics software before printing this out onto a lightweight card stock.  Next I have die cut two rectangles from the panel and created a simple shaker card filling each panel with a different colour of coordinating sequins.

Behind each shaker window I have used one of the Polkadoodles stencils to add a pattern using distress inks.

Wanda was resized and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock, before colouring with my Promarkers (see below for colours) and then fussy cutting out

Just a touch of sparkle was added to the image to finish it off.
