New Release - Hocus Pocus - Halloween card - Witch with Sunflower hat - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Sunday... yes I'm back with another card from the
brand new release from Polkadoodles.

Perfect for all those Halloween projects.  Creepy Creatures collection is a fantastic collection of 3 bundles.  Cute & Creepy, Witches & Broomsticks and Creepy Things,

Inside the collection you’ll find everything from pumpkins, ghosts, skeletons, mummies, bats, monsters and creepy dolls, to witches, broomsticks, cauldrons, spell books, black cats and potion bottles. Perfect for trick or treat cards, party invites, scrapbook layouts, junk journal spreads, stickers, planner pages and DIY stationery.

Each design comes as both pre-coloured images for quick makes and black & white digital stamps for colouring at home. Every bundle also includes free SVG outlines, making them ideal for Cricut, Silhouette Cameo and Brother ScanNCut.

For my spooky card today I chose to use the pre-coloured Witch with Sunflower Hat from the Witches and Broomsticks bundle, she is available for you to colour too!

It's a larger A7 or 5" x 7" card so I resized the character to suite my design and then printed out before fussy cutting out ready for the card.

I chose one of the spooky purple papers from the collection, die cutting and arch in the centre of the paper.  I blended distress ink around the edge of the paper to add darker tones and added a purple die cut frame around the arch.

The sentiment is from the collection, printed and fussy cut out.

To finish off the design I added some purple confetti around the the card and glossy accents to the centre of the sunflower.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

New Release - Autumn Girls - Autumn Wishes - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Saturday and a great weekend ahead......

I'm back today with another Autumn has card using one of the brand new Autumn Girls stamps by Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

There are 10 absolutely gorgeous Autumn girls available in the Etsy shop as a full set or you can buy the individual stamps if you prefer.

For my card today I've used the gorgeous Reading Girl coloured with my promarkers.  These gorgeous images don't really need much so I used distress inks blended across the sky background.

The sentiment I have used is from the Autumn Sentiments set  simply nestled into the design.

I decided to die cut an arched frame for the little scene, using a pretty paper from the secret garden collection.  After cutting the arch away, I blended orange ink around the paper then splattered it with copper watercolour paint.

I ink smooshed a couple of strips of watercolour card using orange, brown and green distress ink and then once dried, die cut lots of leaves to scatter at the bottom of the card.

Finishing touches were some champagne confetti and white gelly roll pen highlights.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is Autumn and what a wonderful time of year it is....the colours in the garden and around the countryside are just amazing and I love the cooler fresher days here too.  Nikky also wanted us to use  string,
ribbon, a bow or washi tape too in our design so I decided to use Washi tape.

If you are like me you probably have oodles of the stuff! there was a craze a few years ago but I do find it quite difficult to incorporate in my designs so it was a perfect challenge.

Anyway I always like a challenge so I decided to use the Freddy Fox collection for my Autumn card today to celebrate the colours of Autumn.

It's a smaller A2 sized card with a layer of paper from the Helga Hippo collection.

The main watering can image is from the fantastic ephemera set - its jam packed with images for you to colour - I've used the watering can and the 2 sweet little bees resizing to fit my design before colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.  The ephemera bundle comes pre-coloured too if you done want to colour.

I used one of my new stencils from the Yuletide Christmas stencil bundle on a panel of white card, with distress inks and then added small pieces of torn washi tape into the corner of the panel.  I added a couple of pieces onto the paper panel too, to tie the design together.

The sentiment from the Freddy Fox collection sentiment bundle and I have foiled this in gold.

The little bees have been foiled too.

To finish off the design I added glossy accents to the heart on the watering can, white gelly roll pen highlights and some gold confetti around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Best Witches - Halloween card - Cute Halloween Bundle - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Saturday......The weeks are absolutely flying past...till soon be you know what ! Today is a special day for us as we moved here from the UK permanently 8 years ago and its been the best thing ever.  It was a big step retiring early from our jobs and upping sticks, but perfectly planned and we haven't looked back...my only regret is not being able to do it sooner x

We are off to Granada for the day, a spot of wandering around the city and lunch is booked at a new (to us) restaurant overlooking the Alhambra.  We visit the city at least once a month as its only 40 minutes drive away and it's my favourite place to visit - no matter how often we go there is always more to see and more culture to soak up.

It's time to share another cutie for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)  using their latest  Cute Halloween bundle featuring 35 very cute Ghosties, ghoulies and witches, definitely everything you need to create some fantastic Halloween projects.

The huge bundle is now available in the Etsy shop and don't miss out on the fabulous sale price (Ends very soon !)

For todays card I've used one of the cute little witches from the bundle, zooming around on her broomstick.

I resized her to fit my A6 card and then printed out, colouring with promarkers before fussy cutting out....I also printed out a fabulous spooky sentiment too.

I chose one of the papers from the Cosmic paper bundle and used this for my card, die cutting an aperture through which I used the stencil to add the moon directly onto the card base.

The sentiment was die cut and I blended a little purple and blue ink to that it blended in with the card design.

Finishing touches were some clear sparkle for her outfit, white gel pen highlights and sparkly confetti around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Each design comes as both pre-coloured images for quick makes and black & white digital stamps for colouring at home. Every bundle also includes free SVG outlines, making them ideal for Cricut, Silhouette Cameo and Brother ScanNCut.

For my card today I chose to use the the Witches Scruffy Cat digital image - I love cats especially black ones, there's just something about them.... perhaps its my inner witch clambering to get out LOL

It's a smaller A6 card so I resized the kitty to suite my design and then printed out on alcohol marker friendly card before colouring with my promarkers.. I added one of the sentiments to the bottom of the panel and then used a circular die to partially cut out the kitty, fussy cutting around the kitty.

I added some brickwork stencilling to this panel and used a green ink to stencil clouds onto the card base.

To finish off the design I added glossy accents to the kitties eyes and green foil to the sentiment.

A simple but spooky card!

Hello everyone and happy Sunday... yes I'm back! 2 days in a row Shock Horror  LOL

It's another sunny hot Autumn day here today at 30C again, wonderful I know and I'm definitely not complaining given the weather in the UK at the moment, but I would really like it a little cooler now - good for drying the washing.

There is a brand new release from Polkadoodles and its just perfect for all those Halloween projects.

Each design comes as both pre-coloured images for quick makes and black & white digital stamps for colouring at home. Every bundle also includes free SVG outlines, making them ideal for Cricut, Silhouette Cameo and Brother ScanNCut.

For my first card I chose to use the Cute and Creepy Bundle, this is Pumpkin Boy and I've used the pre-coloured version for this card although he is available for you to colour too!

It's a larger A7 or 5" x 7" card so I resized the character to suite my design and then printed him out a couple of times so I can do a little fussy cutting and decoupaging for dimension.

I chose one of the spooky papers from the collection, Loving the orange and teal so I used this as my colour pallet for the die cut frame and banners and also blended distress ink around the edge of the paper to add darker tones.

I added splatters of white and black gesso to the paper and also distress mica spray so in real life the card has a spook shine to it.

To finish off the design I added white gelly roll pen highlights around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

World Cardmaking Day - Autumn Crafting - Freddy Fox collection with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Saturday... its also World Card Making day too and I hope that you are joining in with the fun and creating something today.

It might be the 4th October but its a beautiful sunny Autumnal day here today and the temperature is expected to climb to 30C which is lovely but a little unexpected.

I decided to share a couple of Autumn cards I made recently using the Ephemera bundle from the fantastic Freddy Freddy Fox collection  to celebrate the colours of Autumn.

The ephemera set is jam packed with images for you to colour or comes with pre-coloured images too if you prefer not to colour.

For the first card I chose a couple of the butterflies from the bundle, colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.  For the simply block background I used some pieces of masking tape to create four rectangles on the panel and then used distress oxides to blend colour over these from light to dark - I love the striking look and its such a simple but effective design.

To create the shadow behind the butterflies I printed the two butterflies onto the base panel before inking and then simply coloured them in with a black marker pen before adhering the butterflies on top.

The sentiment, from the collection was added to the centre of the card before printing too and I applied rose gold foil using my Minc.  The panel was then layered onto my card blank with a mat of black glitter card.

To finish off this simple design I added some rose gold confetti around the the card.

For my second Autumn card I decided to create a fun inky background so on a piece of vellum I scribbles some alcohol markers in patches and then added a little alcohol to this, using my Tim Holtz blower to move the ink around, adding more colour until I was happy with the overall effect.  Once dried I added a splatter of wet glue on the panel and when the glue was tacky I applied gold foil to the splatter - it give a very delicate look but I think this works well with the vellum.

For the main image I chose the bird house with sunflowers and a couple of the little crows from the ephemera bundle, colouring these in again with my promarkers before fussy cutting out and adding to my card.

I printed out one of the sentiments from the collection and adhered this across the bottom of the card to give a ground for my design to sit on.

To finish off the design I added white gelly roll pen highlights around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Digi Choosday - Gnome Trick or Treat collection - Spiders - pop up frame card - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....Its October 1st already and after a fantastic Feria in our town thoughts are now turning to the Autumn..... Schools return after the long hot holidays and classes get back to normal.

I'm hoping to get a place in the Pilates class but its always such a popular class and places are limited - fingers crossed !

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is Spiders !!! Yuck ...I'm definitely not a fan at all of spiders...even little ones ...I'm actually not sure what I dislike the most spiders or snakes...its a tough one but this is still a cute card even with the spiders LOL

Anyway I always like a challenge so I decided to use the Gnome Trick or Treat collection for spooky spider card today.... as you already know I don't make lots of Halloween cards but this was fun to create and I'm sure it will be loved by it's recipient.

I chose the Spider Web Gnome and decided to create a pop up frame card so that the gnome could hang from the spiders web on the card.

I resized the main focal image to fit my 6" x 6" card and added a sentiment at the bottom of my square panel before printing out on alcohol marker friendly cardstock and colouring with promarkers. I coloured the pumpkin eyes and mouth with a fluorescent gelly roll pen.

I then used a square die to partially cut an aperture on the panel and then fussy cut out the image of the gnome so he is suspended from the cobweb.

Next I added grey distress ink over the frame and create some little pop up hinges from black card.

I chose a cobweb and spider paper from the Boo Halloween collection, adhering a panel to the base of my card blank.  Once dry I then adhered the cut out panel to the card .

I love these pop up frame cards as they give loads of dimension but fold flat for posting.

To finish off the design I added glossy accents, white gelly roll pen highlights and some black sparkly gems around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hugs - Shutter card - Sweet Wishes - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Monday....our wonderful feria here in Orgiva is now over for another year and life is getting back to normal, the best part is we have wonderful rain.

It probably sounds weird to my UK friends but after so long without rain and such a hot dry summer its a welcome relief - you can hear the garden sighing!

I'm here today with a sweet card for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) featuring a cute little bear from the Sweet Wishes digital stamp set available in the Etsy shop.

It's a huge set of 14 cute little images and the sweetest sentiments....perfect for loads of different occasions and there is a fabulous 60% Sale off everything in the shop until to celebrate World Cardmaking day on 4th October

Just some simple colouring with my promarkers for the bear before fussy cutting him out.

As most of you know I don't tend to make many interactive cards but for this I wanted to have a go at a shutter card and I was pleasantly surprised once I had got my head around the measurements.

For the instructions on how to make the card I followed a tutorial by Inky Inspirations.

This is the tutorial that I followed, I made a few tweaks to the measurements to suite my card base and envelope.

The background papers I have used are from the Sweet Candy papers....the little balloon is also from the Sweet Wishes stamp set.

Finishing touches were some teal confetti around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)
