Have Fun From all the Gang - Safari A5 Stamp Set - New Release with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Thursday....We've had loads of lovely well needed rain for the past couple of weeks now and its been wonderful but I think I'd like a little sunshine now to start drying up a bit - we're never happy are we lol

I'm here today with a card project for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using one of the gorgeous new A5 Polymer stamp sets which is available to pre-order now from the Etsy shop.

My slimline card today is using stamps from the Safari set to create a vibrant jungle themed card.

I've used Distress Oxide inks to create my vibrant Jungle background and then die cut the jungle leaves using a background die and a dark green cardstock, layered over the ink blended background.

The safari animals were stamped and coloured with promarkers before fussy cutting out and adhering to the card, some flat and some with foam tape.  I also stamped some extra leaves, coloured and fussy cut these for extra dimension.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - Flowers - Orange - Darling Buds with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a project/card using flowers and the colour orange......not a colour I naturally turn to but I do love how vibrant it is...perfect to get us in the mood for warmer weather.

I decided to create a larger A7 5" x 7" card today.  I chose one of the wonderful papers from the Freddy Fox collection and in my graphics software I colourized this turning the flowers orange before printing out.  I also chose a sentiment from the Darling Buds collection and added this to some teal paper and printed this also along with the pre-coloured Marigold - I love how vibrant she is.

I die cut a circle, offset from the floral paper and layered this over the teal paper adding an orange frame to the circle.  Next I used my Polychromos pencils adding lots of orange to the image to make it more vibrant and then fussy cut her out before adding over the card with foam tape for dimension.

To finish off my project I added some super sparkly glitter to some of the flowers and some orange gems around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

New Baby Boy Card - with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Sunday.... March is here and there are definite signs of Spring around the garden here - the little crocuses are flowering, freesias are about to burst into bloom and the almond tree leaves are beginning to appear, replacing the fabulous display of blossom we have had this year.  The fragrance has been amazing but I wish the flowers lasted longer.

I'm back today with a new baby card that I've made using some gorgeous digital stamps by Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

I'm not exactly sure of the name of the style of card but I was inspired to create one in June last year after watching a tutorial by a friend on her Facebook group Nifty Noodles Crafting

I made very slight changes to her tutorial dimensions so I could use my scoreboard which shows imperial rather than metric measurements, but the completed card still folds to fit into a standard C6 envelope.

For the card base cutting 4 pieces of card as follows

  • 12" x 4" scored at 2" & 4 "
  • 6" x 4" for the card base
  • 3 1/2" x 3 1/2 "
  • 3 1/4" x 31/4"

I wanted to create a larger A7 or 5" x 7" version for todays special card and its was fairly easy to scale up to the correct size.

Here are the measurements for the larger version of the card.

For the card base cutting 4 pieces of baby blue card as follows

  • 7 1/2" x 5" scored at 2 1/2" & 5" (2 of these)
  • 5" x 7" for the card base
  • 4 1/2" x 4 1/2 "
  • 4 1/4" x 4 1/4"

I chose 3 gorgeous stamps for my card today  for the 3 separate panels colouring them with Polychromos.  The front face of the card features and image called Special Delivery

The next panel features two sweet little birds , this is called Baby Birds Boy, yes there's one for a little girl too !

The final digital stamp on the inside of the card is a simple heart sentiment that was coloured and fussy cut out.

It's a really simple but I think a stunning card design with layers of baby blue and pretty patterned papers from a very old paper pad by Crafters Companion.

All of the images were  coloured and then I've applied black foil to give a little shine and the look of a heat embossed image.

Finishing touches were some blue enamel dots around the card

To create my card today I've used distress inks directly onto the A6 card blank blending through a paint splatter stencil in a rainbow of colours and then splattered black watercolour paint over this to create my messy background. Next I stamped the two sentiments onto the card in black ink.

I coloured Purrcasso with my Polychromos for a softer furry look and then fussy cut him out before adding to the card with foam tape for dimension.

The finishing touches were some clear iridescent sequins around the design and glossy accents to the paint splatter.

Digi Choosday - Mother's Day - Not a card - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Mother's Day project but not a card.

I decided to create a little embroidery hoop picture - its's definitely something that my mum would have loved to hang up on a wall.

I decided to use the beautiful pre-coloured image from the Pretty Flower Wreath Digi Deal for my project today, resizing this to suit the size of the embroidery hoop and adding this onto a layer of floral paper from the kit before printing out.

I then printed this out onto thin card and also onto vellum, using a torn edge die to cut out the main image.

Next I stretched a peice of cream fabric into the embroidery frame, trimming of the excess and then using Mod Podge to seal the edges at the back of the hoop.

I covered the front of the fabric with a layer of white gesso and allowed this to completely dry before adhering the die cut out image onto the hoop and covering with Mod Podge to seal the design.

I then fussy cut out some of the flowers and extra butterflies that i had printed onto vellum and used a clear 3D silicone glue gel to adhere these onto the image.

To finish off my project I added some super sparkly crystal gems around the design and threaded purple twine to hang the hoop onto a wall.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope that your week has started well, bit of a false start for me yesterday after eating something that didn't agree with me on Sunday, but I'm feeling more human again today.

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Lili of the Valley and our theme of 'Include gems / pearls' this week was chosen for team 2 by Elaine...

This is a simple A7 5" x7" card with a pretty paper from Lili of the Valley from the Sweet Candy collection layered onto yellow cardstock.

I resized the image to suit my card blank adding a digital sentiment at the bottom of the panel over the image and then printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring with my Promarkers.

To draw the eye into the design I added a thin arch frame over the main image panel, die cut from the yellow card.

I added tiny hot pink gems around the design and pearl drops onto the flower jug.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog
