New Release - Christmas in July - Photo Strip - Snowman with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Sunday....I hope you are enjoying the weekend...its very hot here at the moment so I've been having quite a bit of time in the shade and trying to keep cool with lots of water to drink lol.

I'm here today with 4 sweet little Christmas cards for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using one of the new Photo booth digital stamp sets.

These cards feature the Snowman Photo Strip set set available in the Etsy shop.

These are such versatile stamps and can be used all together as one image or you can split them as I have done to create 4 separate cards that I think are adorable.

Just some simple colouring with my promarkers and matting with coloured card.  I die cut little windows for the images and used embossing folders to create texture at the bottom of the panels.

The sentiments I've used for each card are from Cute Christmas sentiment set and I've foiled each one to match the card.

Finishing touches were some glittery sparkle on the snowman's hat.

I hope that you like my cards today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #797 - Add Flowers - Sponsored by Sheepski Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day - Just a very quick post from me today as its my birthday and my cousin and best friend is visiting from the UK....we are off out down to the coast today for lunch at a fabulous restaurant overlooking the beach and water and then chilling by the pool - well it would be rude not to!  There might even be a few cocktails thrown in too for good measure.

There's a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Add flowers' has been chosen by Elaine for team 2 and is being sponsored by Sheepski Designs. The online Etsy store is now sadly closed but the lucky winner will be sent a link to download their chosen 3 images.

If you know me then you know I love strong vibrant colours  so I chose to use this fabulous image with a toucan and hibiscus.  We have some beautiful hibiscus in the garden and I love the more unusual colours, so I used that as inspiration.  I also wanted to create a sunset background to give the card a real tropical vibe.

The background panel was blended with distress inks and I love the end result.  The image was resized to suit the landscape A7 card, printing on alcohol friendly card stock before colouring  with my Promarkers and fussy cutting out.

I then used some fabulous dies to cut out the sentiment, hibiscus flowers and palm leaves, colouring with the same distress inks.

The finishing touches were some new sparkly gems to some of the flowers.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Enjoy the rest of your day !

There’s a brand new release by Polkadoodles crafting just launched and here is my first card using the Graduation School Student digital collection.

It’s a bumper kit with fabulous papers, ephemera, word art and of course the wonderful characters (line art and pre-coloured)….. perfect for all those celebrations not just traditional graduation!

With 100's of high-resolution digital assets, including clipart characters, coordinating papers, printable sentiments, ephemera, and both black & white and pre-coloured digi stamps, this bundle is ideal for card making, junk journaling, digital scrapbooking, planner pages and more.

This little girl is a real cutie with her pens and pencils, coloured with Promarkers….just ready to start school with loads of dreams and lots of ambitions.

I've used a couple of the papers from the collection to decorate my upright Z-fold card for my card today, foiling one of them in teal foil for a touch of shine.

For the main image I selected the pencil clip art and enlarged this to create a rainbow of huge pencils behind the little girl. I also added an extra pot of pencils to the image before printing out and colouring with promarkers - a girl can never have too much stationery after all !

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next card I share from Polkadoodles.

Digi Choosday - Bella Bear Christmas - Christmas in July - Not a Card - Christmas rosettes with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....My goodness the heat has been so high here now for weeks...I cant really imagine it getting much hotter but its only the first week of July !

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create something to celebrate Christmas in July but not a card - hmm....that got me thinking but I'm up for a challenge.

I decided to make a little home dรฉcor for Christmas so created 3 little Christmas rosettes

I chose to use the Bella Bear Christmas collection for my sweet and easy project today.

I chose 2 snowflake papers, one is from the Bella Bear Christmas collection and the other is from the Gingerbread Holly collection

I decided to create 3 rosettes, the larger one is made from 2" wide strips of paper, I cut 2 each measuring 2" x 11".  The smaller two rosettes are using 1 1/2" strips, cutting 4 strips measuring 1 1/2" x 11".

Each strip of paper was scored at 1/2" all the way along and concertina folded, then I have joined 2 strips together with wet glue to form loops.  I die cut 4 small circles of card and then used these on the backs of each rosette applying hot glue and holding each in shape while drying.

Once the rosettes were formed I added some cream twine to each so they could be hung from a tree at Christmas but they would make perfect gift tags too for special presents.

Next I chose 2 pre-coloured ephemera images and one of the pre-coloured Bella Bear images, printing each one out twice.

I die cute the image, layered onto die cut card and then used the hot glue to adhere these to the rosettes.

I then fussy cut out the images again and layered these onto the bottom image with foam tape.

The finishing touches were some sparkly stickles on each image and glossy accents onto Bella's nose and the holly berries.

I'm really pleased how these turned out and I'll definitely be making some more for this Christmas.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #795 - Beach Vibes - Sponsored by Uniko Stamps

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope you are all well and the week has started well.  Its my son's birthday today - he's 28 years old which I cant quite believe as it makes me feel very old indeed!

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Uniko stamps and our theme of 'Beach Vibes' this week was chosen for team 2 by Me...

I think spending days at the beach in the Summer is the perfect way to cool off - especially when the beaches are quieter !

For my challenge I chose to use one of my favourite digital images by Krista Leigh Smith aka Saturated Canary - this is called Toes in the sand. Sadly Krista has closed her shop due to other commitments but she's promised us shell pop up every now and then with images for us to colour.

I have created a simple A7 card with a distress oxide ink background to coordinate with the fun surfer girl image.  I wanted to give the effect of sun rays from behind the surfer girl so used a stencil and a baby wipe to lift some of the ink off the sky section of the design.

I resized the image to suit my card blank and then printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring with my Promarkers and fussy cutting out.  The digital sentiment was added to the panel before printing.  The image was adhered to the card with foam tape for dimension.

I added white gelly  roll pen highlights to the water and some sparkly sequins around the design.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !
