Digi Choosday - Horace & Boo - Fathers Day - Masculine card - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Father's Day card.

I decided to use a sweet image from the Horace & Boo collection - this is Horace  to create a more masculine pop up A6 card.

I chose a couple of papers from the Winnie Daisy Fairy 2 collection to layer onto the pop up card panels and then used a fancy edged die to cut out a centre panel.  I ink blended clouds over this white card.

The image was resized along with a sentiment from the Gnome Feeding Birds kit before printing out and colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out, layering at the bottom of the fancy panel.

To finish off my project I added some teal sequins and some die cut balloons.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Carnival Mermaid - May Freebie Digital Stamp - with Julia McNeil Designs

Hello everyone Happy Friday! I hope that you've had a great week and the weather has been kind where you are.... It's definitely Summer here with temperatures around 30C most days now.  The pool is starting to look very inviting too!  We're off down the the beach today for lunch with friends so I best get a wriggle on.

Today I'm back to share a card for JMC Designs  that I've made using the May freebie digital stamp - this is the Carnival Mermaid .... celebrating everything MerMay !

Every month Julia McNeill very generously gives away a fabulous digital stamp, which is available to everyone in her Facebook group JMC's Crazy Crafty Hive and also to her followers via Instagram, all you need is to use your email address to register for the stamp.

Here is the link to register and download this months digital stamp.

If you have missed any of the previous freebies then Julia has kindly put together a list of them all with the links for each so you can download them and don't forget to share your projects in the group as we would love to see them.  Here is the full list of the freebies

To create my Mermaid card for today today I've used a piece of the watery paper from the aquatic adventures kit on the inside of an A6 card blank. I cut an arched aperture in the front of the card and then used the stencil to add bubbles to a piece of vellum, adding white pen highlights to the bubbles.  The acetate was adhered behind the aperture.

The mermaid was coloured with my Promarkers and fussy cut out and adhered using a strip of acetate into the frame.

The finishing touches were some little pen details to the mermaid tail, , coral from the digital kit and lots of sparkle.

I do hope that you like my card for today and I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment.

A Pocket Hug - Flower Pockets - with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Thursday....All back to normal now after our trip to Mallorca and my aim is to get my blog out most days over the Summer but you know what its like - things happen !

We have some friends coming tomorrow for lunch and then drinks and tapas in town so today were busy getting the garden tidied - we had a few heavy downpours yesterday so currently trying to dry things out.

I'm here today with a pretty floral pocket card for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) featuring one of the images from the gorgeous Flower Pockets stamp set - some of you may have got this in Polymer Stamp for but I'm so happy that its now also available as a digital set of stamps - I think digital stamps are so versatile as they can resized and manipulated so easily for your card design. The digital set is available now from the Etsy shop

My sweet card today features one of the little pockets and I have decoupaged some of the flowers for extra dimension.

The design was printed onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock and printed out before colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out the extra layers.  To build the card I have used a watercolour style paper with a diamond aperture in the centre and some dark navy card to define the layers.

The little sentiment on the pocket is also from the set.  To finish off the card just a few clear iridescent sequins around the design.

I also made a similar card with the same set of stamps, simply using the flowers and a sentiment without the pocket, but completely forgot to add it to my blog so here it is just in case you haven't seen it.

It just shows how versatile this set is !

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - Coffee/Drinks - Puns - Love you a Latte - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Coffee or Drinks themed card with a matching pun.

I chose the Latte Coffee Cup from the Coffee Tea Cake Collection, resizing the cup image to entirely fill an A6 card front.  I also added a couple of the cute puns from the collection, one to the lid of the cup and one to the cardboard holder before printing out and colouring with my Promarkers.

Can you guess what my favourite coffee outlet was in the UK ?  We had one on site at work and I used to go everyday for a large latte !

I adhered the panel to the front of the card blank and then fussy cut out the right hand side of the panel adding a piece of red check paper from the collection to the inside panel of the card.

Next I added some coffee splatters around the edge with distress ink and a stencil.

To finish off my project I added some card candi and a die cut heart before covering these with glossy accents.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #788 - Favourite Colour Combination - Sponsored by The Paper Shelter

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day - We're back after a wonderful long weekend away in Mallorca, had a fabulous time and it was great to have a break away too with lots of sightseeing and lots of relaxing too.

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Favourite Colour Combination' has been chosen by Karen for team 2 and is being sponsored by The Paper Shelter

For my eclipse style card today I chose to use a pretty digital image Hammock Days to create a pretty birthday card.

I resized the image to suit a 6" x 6" card and then printed it on alcohol friendly card before colouring with promarkers and then fussy cutting it out.

The image also comes with a pretty background paper to match so I resized this to suit the card blank and added a sentiment to the panel before printing.

To create the eclipse effect I used a smaller die to cut out the centre of the paper, adhering this directly onto the card blank.  Then I added foam tape to the outer border of the paper, tucking the sweet girl underneath before adhering the frame to the card.  The little girl is hanging free between the outer frame sides.

The finishing touches were some drops of stickles to the flower  centres at the bottom and some white gel pen highlights.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Hugs and Fishes - Aquatic Adventures Collection with Julia McNeill Designs

Hello everyone Happy Friday everyone !  I hope that you have had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend.

Today I'm here to share a cute card that I have made using one of my favourite collections by JMC Designs.  Its the Aquatic Adventures collection and its packed with lots of fishy fun. This collection will be back on the website very soon

Its an A6 card loaded with pre-coloured elements, a paper and a sentiment from the collection. I started with one of the papers and then stencilled coral over the top in green and yellow ink.  Next I used a hillside die to cut some yellow card for the sand at the bottom of the sea, blending distress ink over the edge to separate the layers.  Foam tape was used to adhere the sand.

I then added lots of fish and different coral which had been fussy cut out, some flat to the card and others on foam for depth.  The sentiment was fussy cut out and ink blended with green and blue ink before adhering this to the design.

The finishing touches were stickles around the design, glossy accents bubbles and for the fishes eyes and some extra white pen highlights

I do hope that you like my card for today and I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment.

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Monday ....I'm a little bit late with my blog as we've been so busy getting ready for our short holiday in Mallorca.  We have some friends coming to house / Kitty sit so there's been a lot to sort out before we go as you can imagine.

I'm here today with a clean and simple card for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) featuring one of the images from the gorgeous images  from the Easter Florals A5 Polymer stamp sets which is available now from the Etsy shop (On sale Limited stock left)

My sweet card today with a folk art style hare I think is perfect to use all year just to say hello or for those Spring / Easter cards too.

I stamped the chicken and sentiment onto Neenah desert storm card stock and then coloured with my Polychromos pencils.

I've created an arched card from pink card and layered some Kraft polka dot card to tie in with the theme.

I added a few pieces of confetti around the design to finish it off.
