Purcasso - Freebie Digital Stamp - with Julia McNeil Designs

Hello everyone Happy Friday! I hope that you've had a great week and the weather has been kind where you are. It's Andalusia Day or Día de Andalucía so a holiday ! yes I know another one....lol

Today I'm back to share a colourful card for JMC Designs  that I've made using the February freebie digital stamp - this is Purrcasso....he looks like he's having a lots of messy fun.

Every month Julia McNeill very generously gives away a fabulous digital stamp, which is available to everyone in her Facebook group JMC's Crazy Crafty Hive and also to her followers via Instagram, all you need is to use your email address to register for the stamp.

Here is the link to register and download this months digital stamp.

If you have missed any of the previous freebies then Julia has kindly put together a list of them all with the links for each so you can download them and don't forget to share your projects in the group as we would love to see them.  Here is the full list of the freebies

To create my card today I've used distress inks directly onto the A6 card blank blending through a paint splatter stencil in a rainbow of colours and then splattered black watercolour paint over this to create my messy background. Next I stamped the two sentiments onto the card in black ink.

I coloured Purrcasso with my Polychromos for a softer furry look and then fussy cut him out before adding to the card with foam tape for dimension.

The finishing touches were some clear iridescent sequins around the design and glossy accents to the paint splatter.

I do hope that you like my card for today and I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment.

Hasta luego 👋

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - Mother's Day - Not a card - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Mother's Day project but not a card.

I decided to create a little embroidery hoop picture - its's definitely something that my mum would have loved to hang up on a wall.

I decided to use the beautiful pre-coloured image from the Pretty Flower Wreath Digi Deal for my project today, resizing this to suit the size of the embroidery hoop and adding this onto a layer of floral paper from the kit before printing out.

I then printed this out onto thin card and also onto vellum, using a torn edge die to cut out the main image.

Next I stretched a peice of cream fabric into the embroidery frame, trimming of the excess and then using Mod Podge to seal the edges at the back of the hoop.

I covered the front of the fabric with a layer of white gesso and allowed this to completely dry before adhering the die cut out image onto the hoop and covering with Mod Podge to seal the design.

I then fussy cut out some of the flowers and extra butterflies that i had printed onto vellum and used a clear 3D silicone glue gel to adhere these onto the image.

To finish off my project I added some super sparkly crystal gems around the design and threaded purple twine to hang the hoop onto a wall.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego 👋

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #776 - 'Include pearls / gems' - Sponsored by Lili of the Valley

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope that your week has started well, bit of a false start for me yesterday after eating something that didn't agree with me on Sunday, but I'm feeling more human again today.

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Lili of the Valley and our theme of 'Include gems / pearls' this week was chosen for team 2 by Elaine...

I chose to use a really sweet image James with Jug of Flowers, he's such a sweet bear and I wanted to create a card that was filled with spring sunshine.

This is a simple A7 5" x7" card with a pretty paper from Lili of the Valley from the Sweet Candy collection layered onto yellow cardstock.

I resized the image to suit my card blank adding a digital sentiment at the bottom of the panel over the image and then printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring with my Promarkers.

To draw the eye into the design I added a thin arch frame over the main image panel, die cut from the yellow card.

I added tiny hot pink gems around the design and pearl drops onto the flower jug.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego 👋

My first card made using this collection is a cute A6 pop up slider card and I've chosen to use fresh spring like colour palette to coordinate with the pretty papers and sentiments in the collection.

I'm loving this style of interactive card and its so easy to create something very special.

The sweet flower birthday cake was resized and printed onto Neenah Desert Storm card before colouring with promarkers and finishing with Polychromos pencils.  For an extra special touch I have applied gold foil to the main image and also to one of the sentiments.

I fussy cut the birthday cake by hand and adhered it to my card front along with a peice of pretty paper from the collection.
For the secret message inside the pop up mechanism I have printed  out another paper from the set adding a couple of the sentiments from the set at the bottom so when you pull the tab at the top, the full message is revealed.

To finish off my project I added some teal coloured confetti around the design and added the PULL letters onto the tab at the top.

Fluffy Kisses - Love you to the Moon - Bunny Rocket - New Release with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Friday.... I hope you have had a lovely week and have something nice planned for the weekend.

I'm back today with a card project for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using one of the gorgeous  stamps from the brand new release  called Fluffy Kisses and is full of fluffy bunnies.

There are digi stamps for you to colour and there is also an A5 set of of Polymer stamps which is available to pre-order now from the Etsy shop.

If you don't like to colour then there are also beautifully coloured Simply Prints available too so something for everyone.

My card today is using one of the sweetest digital stamps stamps from the Fluffy Kisses collection . This image is Bunny Rocket  and I think this would be perfect for an anniversary card or just to send lots of love to someone special.

As well as the launch of these fabulous new digital and Polymer bunny stamps there are some gorgeous new backing papers too.  I have used one of the galaxy style papers for my card today from the Cosmic collection.

This is a larger A7 or 5" x 7" pop up frame card - they are really easy to create.... I have cut the pop up frame from a piece of purple card...here are the dimensions if you want them.

Cardstock measuring 8 1/2" x 5" scored along the long edge at 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4 "  on both sides.  Then use a rectangular die to create the aperture, before folding and burnishing the edge of the frame.

I adhered a layer of the Cosmic paper to the card blank before adhering the popup frame on top.

I printed the image on my LaserJet printer onto Neenah Desert Storm card for a more natural feel and then coloured with my Promarkers, adding texture and extra fluffiness to the bunny with my Polychromos pencils.

Then I have added black foil over the bunny and gold foil over the flame from the rocket. Its so difficult to see in the photo which is quite annoying as its beautiful in real life.

I die cut and extra fluffy cloud to adhere to the bottom of the frame, blending distress inks to match the Cosmic paper background.

I cut a strip of acetate and adhered this into the concertina folds of the frame, across the aperture and then adhered the bunny to the acetate strip.  The sentiment was printed onto dessert storm card and adhered to the bottom of the frame.

Finishing touches were some stickles on the cosmic shimmer background to highlight the stars and a scattering of galaxy confetti around the design.

Hasta luego 👋

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - Wednesdays - Work and Play - Love & Kisses - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a card using the Work and Play Love & Kisses collection and to include hearts.

I decided to create another Z-Fold Bookbinding card - have you noticed they are my favourite style currently ?

I started by creating the card base from a cherry red card, two pieces of card 1  measuring 11 1/2" x 5 7/8" and the second piece measuring 3 1/2 " x 5 7/8"

Next I scored the larger piece as follows along the long side:

  • 2 1/8", 4 1/4" , 5 1/2"
The card was folded and burnished and then the book binding edge was glued down to create the folded card.

I then chose papers from the Wings of Love collection to create my turquoise and red colour palette which I had in mind and adhered these to my card base, leaving a small amount of the red card showing.

In my graphics software, I resized the Love and Kisses digital image and then printed  her out onto alcohol marker friendly card stock before colouring with Promarkers.

To finish off my card I added some white gelly roll pen highlights, red die cut hearts and some little clay hearts.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego 👋

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #774 - All about Love - Sponsored by All Dressed Up

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope you are all well and keeping warm - its freezing here again and we've had a little more rain which always makes the house feel colder....off to the shops in Granada today so I might treat myself to a super chunky jumper for these cold winter nights.

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by All Dressed Up stamps and our theme of 'All About Love' this week was chosen for team 2 by the Me... it is the month of love after all and Valentines Day isn't far away.

I chose to use a really sweet image called Kitty Hearts as you know how much we love our kitties - what a better way to be than together and as the sentiment says 'Everything's better when we are together'.

I have created a simple A7 5" x7" Z-fold card for this with pretty papers from Lili of the Valley from the Funky Hearts collection layered onto red cardstock.

I resized the image to suit my card blank adding a digital sentiment at the top of the panel and then printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring with my Promarkers.

I added glossy accents to the little red hearts on the image and also some extra die cut hearts to balance the design and add lots more extra love to my card.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego 👋

Fluffy Kisses - It's Your Birthday - Floral Bunny - New Release with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Sunday.... I hope you are having a great weekend.

The sun is shining and its lovely and warm in the full sun but ooh its freezing in the shade and in the house too LOL

This image is Bunny Flowers and perfect for my birthday card today.

This is a larger A7 or 5" x 7" floral card with a luxurious touch of shine.  I printed the image on my LaserJet printer onto Neenah Desert Storm card for a more natural feel and then coloured with my Promarkers,

To add texture and extra fluffiness I used Polychromos pencils over the bunny for fur detail.  Then I have added black foil over the bunny and gold foil over the sentiment. Its so difficult to see in the photo which is quite annoying as its beautiful in real life.  Here's a close up to hopefully show the shine.

The card design has been kept simple without too much extra fluff as I really do prefer a simpler cleaner look these days but I chose a pretty floral paper from my stash for the background.

I matted the paper onto a dark raspberry card and die cut a tin arched frame to draw the eye into the main image.

Finishing touches were some dark plum coloured gems around the design for a touch of sparkle.

Enjoy the rest of your day !
