A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #726 - Add some Sparkle

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day !

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Add some Sparkle' has been chosen by Elaine for team 2 and being sponsored by Rachelle Anne Miller Digital Stamps

I chose to use one of the new digital images called Stacked Chicks for my card today.... They look like they are having loads of fun with their Easter eggs.

This is a 5 x 7 portrait card with absolutely loads of sparkle although this is really hard to take photographs of so you will have to trust me ! - It's very  Sparkly!

The image was
resized to suit the card, printed on a laser printer and then coloured with my Promarkers.

To create my scene for the chicks I've blended a little tumble glass distress ink over the background for the sky and then used my Minc to apply a super sparkly glitter foil to the design.  The Minc foil is basically applied to all of the LaserJet printed areas - so the outline of the image.

Next I adhered a piece of striped pattern paper to my card blank, edge to edge leaving no white border.

I wanted to frame the main image so decided to die cut an arch from a piece of sparkly lemon glitter card and I thin border from from a burgundy card to coordinate with the designer series paper on the card blank.

I used a stitched rectangle die to add a detailed edge to the glitter card.

To finish off my very sparkly design a handful of sequins were adhered around the panel for just a bit more sparkle.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Bitty Bears Christmas with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Thursday!....

So after around 12 months of virtually no rain we have now had steady rainfall for a few days now - it's wonderful to see all the plants in the garden looking refreshed after the long hot summer too.

Most of the remnants from the Calima have also been washed away finally which is wonderful.

It's only ten more days now until Christmas Day so I hope that you are all ready and I'm sure you are more organised than me.  My Christmas cards finally were posted on Monday and I'm hoping that they arrive in time

Today I'm on my blog to share another cute Christmas card that I've made for Last Minute Manda  using the Bitty Bears Christmas set  - all of the images in this set are so easy to colour and create quick cards.

Today I have a landscape A6 card that I've added a simple layer of tartan paper and red foiled card to for the background.

I have added a die cut a circle of white card with a simple stamped Christmas sentiment to the card for my coloured image to sit on.  Before adhering this to the card I have uses a snowflake embossing folder to add some texture to the bottom of the circle element.

Just a few red sequins scattered around the image and then I have a very clean and simple Christmas card

If you head over to the new Last Minute Manda store font forget to use my special discount code Wendy25 to get 25% off your shopping.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
