Love & Hugs - New Release - Princess of Hearts Mini collection - with Julia McNeil Designs

Hello everyone Happy Friday!

I hope that you've had a great week, we've been really busy this week so I'm looking forward to a few quieter days over the weekend to catch up.

Today I'm back to share a sweet card for JMC Designs  that I've made using the brand new Princess of Hearts mini collection.

This fabulous new mini digi kit contains:

  • 1 digi image line art & pre coloured

  • 2 ephemera sheets line art & pre coloured

  • 3 digi papers

For my A7 card today I've used the pre-coloured roses and the pre-coloured princess from the kit.

I started by creating my background on the computer in my graphics software, layering multiple roses onto a panel but making sure to leave some white gaps between the flower.  I then printed this out along with the princess image.

I then fussy cut out the gaps between the roses and layered this onto raspberry card using foam tape for dimension.

The princess was also fussy cut out and mounted onto the card with foam tape along with one of the sentiments.

Finishing touches were glossy accents  and some super sparkly gems around the design.

Don't forget to share your creations with this lovely new kit in the Facebook group JMC's Crazy Crafty Hive

I do hope that you like my card for today and I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment.

Sending Love - New Release with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Friday.... the best day of the week.

I'm back today with a card project for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using one of the gorgeous  stamps from the new release of Polymer stamps which is available to order now from the Etsy shop.  There are 4 gorgeous A5 sets and you can buy in a bundle or individually.

My card today is using stamps from the Sending Love set to create a sweet little card that would be perfect for Valentines or just to send some love.

I wanted to create an envelope style card so created an A6 Arrow fold and then used red card and patterned papers from the Funky Hearts collection to layer onto the card base.

A very simple yet effective looking card I think.

Finishing touches were some clear glossy gems around the design and glossy accents on the hearts.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is Valentines and to include some paper weaving - not something I've done for a very long time!

My card today is a larger A7 5" x 7" card with a wide border of white around the design.  I have used a die to cut a panel from bright pink card to frame my paper weaved panel.

I then cut 1/4 " strips of striped paper from the Lily Bug collection and adhered these to a panel of card, weaving each strip to create a closed weaved panel.

My sweet bunny is from the Love Always collection - its called Love you this much and he was resized and printed out before colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting him out.

I've used my Polychromos pencils to add texture to his fur.

The sentiment is also from the Love Always collection, printed out and fussy cut out.

To finish off my card I added some teal confetti around the design and glossy accents to the sunglasses.

I hope that you like my bright and cheerful card today that's full of love and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #772 - Favourite colours - Sponsored by Colour of Love

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope you are all well and keeping warm - its freezing here at the moment and I just cant seem to get warm at all - brr

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Colour of Love and our theme of 'Favourite colours' this week was chosen for team 2 by the lovely Natalie.

I chose to use a really sweet image called Sitting by the Lake and I have created a simple A7 5" x7" Z-fold card for this with pretty papers from Craftwork cards layered onto purple cardstock.

I resized the image to suit my card blank adding a digital sentiment at the bottom of the panel and then printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring with my promarkers.

My all time favourite colour is purple ( if you hadn't guessed) and I like this with teal or shocking pink so decided to use teal.  To make the colours stand out even more, I decided to colour the rest of the image with sepia tones..something I haven't done before but I have to say I really like how its turned out.

The finishing touches for my card today were purple card candi that I have added glossy accents to.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Enjoy the rest of your day !

So sweet - Have a Mice Day - New Release with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Monday.... I hope that you had a great weekend.

I'm back today with 2 cards for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using one of the gorgeous  stamps from the new release of Polymer stamps which is available to order now from the Etsy shop (despatching from 21st January).  There are 4 gorgeous A5 sets and you can buy in a bundle or individually.

My simple card today is using stamps from the Have a Mice Day set to create a sweet card with the little mouse in a simple die cut heart, layered with red card for a clean and simple design.

I splattered black metallic watercolour over the background panel and added a few black glossy drops around the design.

To finish of this card I added glossy accents to the little hearts.

For my second card today I wanted the design to look a little like and envelope.  I stamped the sentiment from the set into the envelope the mouse is holding and added a little red die cut heart into the corner for the stamp.

I added a little tea dye distress ink around the edges of the card panel before layering this with red card stock.

I then die cut little envelopes from thin red card and adhered these at the bottom of the panel before finally adding 3 more little hearts to the main panel.

Just For You - Have a Mice Day - New Release with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Thursday.... we've been in the garden this morning, tidying up the pots under the porch after all the building work, they are starting to look a lot better and thankfully most of the plants have survived so far.

I'm back today with a card project for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using one of the gorgeous  stamps from the new release of Polymer stamps which is available to order now from the Etsy shop (despatching from 21st January).  There are 4 gorgeous A5 sets and you can buy in a bundle or individually.

My simple card today is using stamps from the Have a Mice Day set to create a sweet card with the little mouse peeking over the paper.  The digital paper is from the Vintage Circus set and I thought perfect for this cheerful little Just for You card.

I layered the patterned paper onto red card and then fussy cut the bottom of the sweet little mouse, adding this on top with low profile foam tape and an extra strip of red card to separate the design.   The little sentiment from the set was die cut with a little stamp style die and layered on multiple layers of card.

Finishing touches were some clear glossy accents to the red hearts of the paper and some clear drops around the design.

Best Wishes - Sending Love - New Release with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Wednesday.... I hope that your week is going well.

My first card is using stamps from the Sending Love set to create a happy rainbow of flowers - I think we all need a rainbow to cheer us up at times.

I created my rainbow background with a stencil and distress inks and stencilled hills towards the bottom of the panel with the sun rising up in the middles of the hills.  Then I die cut a white card frame and adhered this to my A6 card blank before adding my rainbow of heart plants to the frame, using foam tape for dimension.

The flowers and the butterfly were coloured with Promarkers

Finishing touches were some clear sparkle and clear iridescent sequins around the design and glossy accents on the champagne glass.

Digi Choosday - Wednesdays - January birthday - Rebel girl with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....and have completely recovered after the Christmas festivities....it was the three Kings celebration here on Monday 6th January or El Dรญa de los Reyes Magos, better known as the feast of Epiphany and is treated like Christmas Day in Spain.

Santa doesn't take centre stage here but rather, the Three Kings shower gifts on youngsters....I suspect though that a lot of children also get gifts on Christmas Day too!

So, rather than taking down the decorations before Twelfth Night in the UK, we leave ours up to make sure that the Three Kings can find their way here!

Anyway - wishing you all a Happy and Healthy New Year!

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a January birthday card using this colour palette.

I decided to create a Z-Fold Bookbinding card - I'm rather enjoying making these at the moment!

I started by creating the card base from a bright pink card, two pieces of card 1  measuring 11 1/2" x 5 7/8" and the second piece measuring 3 1/2 " x 5 7/8"

Next I scored the larger piece as follows along the long side:

  • 2 1/8", 4 1/4" , 5 1/2"
The card was folded and burnished and then the book binding edge was glued down to create the folded card.

I then chose a couple of turquoise papers from the Rebel Girl collection and adhered these to my card base, leaving a small amount of the pink card showing.

In my graphics software, I resized the pre-coloured Rebel Girl image and added her to a layer of pink paper from the collection along with one of the sentiments. I then printed this out along with 3 extra coloured images as I wanted to decoupage these for dimension.  I've used 3D glue gel for my decoupage layers.

For some extra details I used a border die in the pink card to add the loopy edges and I die cut a flower trellis for the inside of the card along with a pink card arch for the handwritten message.

To finish off my card I added some teal confetti around the design ,sparkle, white gelly roll pen highlights and glossy accents.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.
