DON'T MISS IT๐
This week the DT was asked to design a card using bright colours and I couldn't resist using the very cute Bella Bear Pulling up Daisies. She also comes as a beautiful pre-coloured image if you haven't got much time to create or simply don't like to colour.
๐
As you all probably know I love using bright and cheerful colours in my projects, so I decided to turn the daises into brightly coloured tropical flowers rather than traditional white daisies and am really pleased with how the image turned out. Doesn't Bella look so sweet surrounded by all those brightly coloured flowers.
To create this card I started by resizing the black and white image to suit a 5 x 7 card base, printed it out twice and then coloured it up using my Promarkers, to give me extra flowers and an extra butterfly to add to my design. The images were then fussy cut ready for layering up later on.
๐
Next, I created my background, using strips of card as masks to give a torn edge effect and then using my distress inks blended over the top. Some watered down distress inks were then been splattered over the background along with some iridescent medium to add a little extra sparkle and texture.
I then die cut a torn edged frame from plain white card to add to my panel, to create the illusion of looking through a window at the scene.
My card sentiment is taken from the Winnie Daisy greetings, quotes and sentiments pack which I've printed onto vellum and then die cut using a stitched edge cloud shaped die - I've added an extra layer of vellum behind so that the greeting stands out more.
I used the butterfly from the image to trace extra wings onto vellum using a purple fine liner pen and then used a clear sparkle pen to add sparkle and tint the wings before adhering these to my coloured butterflies.
I layered the background panel onto a piece of black card, leaving a narrow border and then simply assembled the card, using adhesive foam tape to give added dimension to the design.
I love how vibrant the flowers look in the design and I added glossy accents to the centres and scattered a few sequins on the card for extra shine!
๐
I hope you liked my card for today and will join us with this challenge over at the DIGI CHOOSDAY BLOG!
Hasta luego ๐
Enjoy the rest of your day !
