New Release - Boo - Halloween card - Spooky Owl - Shaker card - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday everyone... I hope that you are having a great week...we're off to Granada today with friends, taking them to a wonderful restaurant that we went to last week - yes we loved it so much were going back.  The views of the Alhambra are breath-taking and the food was perfect - I hope they like it too....fingers crossed

I'm back with another card from the brand new Creepy Creatures collection  by Polkadoodles.

For my spooky shaker card today I chose to use the Spooky Owl  from the Cute and Creepy Bundle.  I resized the image to suit my A6 Portrait card and then added the large Boo sentiment under the owl before printing out and colouring with my Promarkers.

I fussy cut out the centres of the large BOO letters so I could make a little shaker window behind using some clear acetate and Halloween coloured sequins.  I added a little orange distress ink around the owl and a few more sequins for additional shine.

The background paper is from the collection too.

The finishing touches were some glossy accents to the Owls eyes so they really stand out .

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Halloween card - Ghastly Ghosts - Digi Choosday with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday. I hope you are enjoying the week so far.  Even though were still enjoying the Summer here, as crafters its time to start thinking of Autumn and Halloween!

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Halloween or Autumn themed card so I decided to create a Halloween card
.  We don't really celebrate Halloween but I have enjoyed making a few cards over the last few years, so I decided to use the Ghastly Ghosts from the Hocus Pocus collection for today - these cute little ghosts are definitely not Ghastly!

This is a DL shaker card, created with 3 little circular apertures, behind each window I have stencilled in black ink a spooky pattern using the vortex stencil.  For an extra spooky feel I have hand drawn little cobwebs on the acetate for each little window.

I chose 3 of the little ghosts, printing them out and colouring them with my spectrum noir pencils in a bright lime green colour so they definitely glow.  I used purple card stock to create little frames around the windows and filled the shaker with purple and clear iridescent sequins.

The finishing touches were little highlights of white pen and gold sparkle pen on the ghosts and I used a grey metallic pen for the spooky sentiments.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from for Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

New Release - Hocus Pocus Witches - Don't forget your Broomstick with Polkadoodles

Happy Monday and a happy Halloween Eve everyone!

I hope that you are all set for tomorrow nights fun and celebrations.  We're off into our village as there's loads of fun organised including a procession around the different streets, a tunnel of horror, Dracula's tomb (not sure what that will be), roasted chestnuts and anise and of course some music.

Hoping the weather is kind and not too much wind or there will be witches hats everywhere!

This is my final Halloween card for the year and of course it had to be a cute witches kitty on his broom stick.

The main image is from the Hocus Pocus Witches collection and the little batty friends are from the Autumn Fall Halloween Treats collection all coloured with my promarkers (see below)

I decided for this cute kitty I would make a simple shaker card which I've filled with shiny star and moon confetti from my stash - I knew it would come in handy one day.

I adhered a few pieces of confetti around the design for a little bit of extra magic.

Sparkle All the Way with Amanda Jayne Designs

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Saturday!

It's getting pretty hot again here after a very brief respite so I thought today I would share another Christmas project made for Amanda Jayne Designs Only a few days left of Christmas is July.

I just cant get enough of this super cute penguin - called Gift Penguin but this is my last card with him ( I promise !) well for now at least, I cant promise he wont pop up again sometime.

For my third card I decided to create a traditional shaker A6 (UK size) card with lots of extra sparkle.

The papers I have used are from the Mint Christmas collection and I have added a sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments set at the bottom of my design

These beautiful pre-coloured images are so adorable and I think they don't need much adding to create a wonderful card.

To finish off my card I have added some sparkly sequins over the outside panel to match the sequins inside the shaker itself.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Hello and happy Sunday everyone...I hope that you are all enjoying the weekend.

I'm back today on my blog to share of my cards using the fabulous new Wanda Girl Collection by Polkadoodles I think she is best friends with Rebel and I can imagine them sat drinking cocktails in a posh bar somewhere.

Wanda Girl is a fabulous and fun collection of digital stamps, topper sheets, planner elements, papers and sentiments and I think you will love them as there is definitely something for everyone and she is available in pre-coloured and black and white for you to colour.

For todays card I have used Wanda Girl Birthday to make a shaker card using one of the papers and a sentiment from the collection.

I added my sentiment to the digital paper in my graphics software before printing this out onto a lightweight card stock.  Next I have die cut two rectangles from the panel and created a simple shaker card filling each panel with a different colour of coordinating sequins.

Behind each shaker window I have used one of the Polkadoodles stencils to add a pattern using distress inks.

Wanda was resized and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock, before colouring with my Promarkers (see below for colours) and then fussy cutting out

Just a touch of sparkle was added to the image to finish it off.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from the Wanda Girl collection by Polkadoodles.

Let's Eat Cake from Celebration Hamsters by Mama Elephant

Happy Wednesday everyone…… wishing you all a lovely day today.

I was at my Spanish ladies group last night and I cant wait to show you what I am working on - I'm loving learning another new skill and this is definitely something I will do again.

We had more wonderful rain and amazing thunder and lightning last night which is fantastic for the garden but not as good for sleeping and it's definitely very hot and humid today.

JJ has been busy in the garden re-routing some of the watering system and building new steps - he never stops !

Today I am sharing a sweet shaker card that I've made using a set of clear stamps by Mama Elephant called Celebration Hamsters.

The card design has been inspired by a card sketch challenge for the month of June in a Facebook group I belong to.

I stamped the sweet little hamsters onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock using memento ink and then used my Promarkers to colour them in (see below for colours used) before fussy cutting out with my scissors. A little fiddly but that's part of the challenge that was set.

I've used my new stitched dies to create the shaker panel, adding a piece of pink striped paper to the card base to begin with.

I used 2 other dies to create the shaker window, the larger dies to cut the outside edge and then one of the smaller dies in the set to cut 4 windows.

Its really easy to create this look without having to use an expensive die plate - just a little careful measuring and preparation for the shaker window.   Each window has ben filled with a different colour of sequin / confetti.

I hope that you like my card today.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day ☀️

New Release - Spring into Easter - Chocolate Time Chick with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone wishing you a very happy Tuesday and I hope that you are all enjoying the week and looking forward to the Easter weekend.

It's that time again when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is Easter so I chose to use one of the sweet little Chicks from the latest collection called Spring into Easter for my card today.

This naughty little chick is called Chocolate Time Chick - isn't he naughty eating all that chocolate and blaming it on poor Bunny!

I've used a couple of the papers from the new collection from set 2 and set 3 to create a background for my sweet chick adding a cheeky sentiment from the Spring into Easter Messages bundle to the striped background before printing it out.

I decided to make a fun shaker card so die cut an oval from this striped panel - to look like an egg and added yellow and pink sequins into my shaker element.  I like to adhere some of the sequins to the background card, this make sure that there are always sequins in view in the window when the card is stood up for display.

This collection is packed with cute little chicks that I think are perfect for loads of different Spring occasions and not just for Easter cards and I'm sure that you are going to love them.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from this cute new Easter / Spring collection

Never tool old for candy with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone - wishing you a lovely Saturday !

I hope that you have had a great week...we've been really busy as things get back to normal after the long hot Summer.

Our almonds have been picked and sorted ready to be shelled and eaten - my favourite snack, roasted with olive oil, a little salt and smoked paprika..  JJ has been busy fixing burst water pipes (again !), making storage shelves in the garage and a cover for our new pergola sail and I'm back at my twice weekly Pilates routine and enjoying it !

I'm not a huge Halloween fan as I never really celebrated it in the U.K. when I was growing up, its not really a big celebration here in Spain either, but I couldn't resist making cards with these cute images from Last Minute Manda.

I've got 6 cards that I'll be sharing with you over the next few weeks that I have made using the Ghostly Good Time digital stamp set and I hope that you like them.

Here is the first installment in this mini Halloween card series.

One of the things that I love is the triadic Halloween colour combination of purple, orange and green - who would have thought these colours would work so well together but they absolutely do and I've stuck with this colour palette for all of my Halloween cards.

I'm starting off with a super cute shaker card filled with orange, silver and purple star confetti.

The main image and the sweets have all been coloured with my Promarkers (see below for colours used)

The Ricrac border has been cut from coordinating orange card using a simple wavy border die from Crafters Companion.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share in this series.

Squirrel and pumpkins with Last Minute Manda

Happy Saturday everyone ! I hope that you have had a good week and have a lovely weekend ahead planned.

Today I am sharing my latest DT make for Last minute Manda and I've decided to stick with the Autumn theme for todays card...must be something in the air!

To create this cute and very simple shaker card I've used the Autumn Friends collection

I coloured all of the elements with my Promarkers for this card - even the background which I don't normally do but its good to try new things and learn new techniques.

I found some mulberry paper leaves that I have in my stash for far too many years probably around 25!...I bought them from a shop in the UK Lakeland Plastics when they used to have a craft section which has sadly long gone..... its about time they finally got used.

To make them more autumnal, I've used distress inks blended over the tope and am really pleased with the end result as it adds a lovely texture to the scene.

I hope that you like my card today ๐ŸŒž
