Digi Choosday - Wednesdays - November birthday Easel card with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday I hope that your having a good week so far....

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create an easel card for a November birthday with no red.

It's my best friends birthday in November and we both love a witchy film called Practical Magic, it might be the Midnight Margaritas half way through the film but I decided to make her a card using Matilda from the Spellbinding Witches collection.  I have included a link for you to watch the film clip just in case - here

Who says witches are just for Halloween !

I created the simple easel card from a 6" x 6" Kraft card blank and then chose several papers from a couple of collections to add to the card base, matting each with black card.  I used the papers to choose my colours for the witch colouring with Promarkers (see below for colours used)

I added a sentiment from the Rebel Girl collection as it was perfect for our midnight margaritas song.

To add some extra witchyiness (is that actually a word ?) to the card I added a black cat, a couple of potion flasks and extra sentiments from the Hocus Pocus Witches collection.

The die cut stars cut from black card have been given extra sparkle and I have scattered black sparkly gems around the design along with some glitter pen on her hat buckle and laces and a few touches of white gelly roll pen.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Flowers - No Pink- circular Easel Card - Butterfly Flowerpots - Digi Choosday - Be Simply Beautiful with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday.  I hope that you have a lovely day today and that you enjoy your week ahead...

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a card with flowers but to use no pink!

I started off by creating a circular easel card with a deep purple card stock and then used one of the gorgeous blue papers from the Helga Hippo collection to mat and layer onto the bottom of the easel.

Next I resized the beautiful Butterfly Flowerpots image to fit the easel and then printed this out onto alcohol friendly card stock.

I coloured the image with promarkers to match the purple card and blue paper and then used one of the dies to cut out the panel.  I blended a little blue distress ink around the edge of the panel and then adhered it to my easel card.

The sentiment from the Lilybug collection was printed out onto card, layered on to the same purple card and then adhered to act as the stopper for the easel so it stands up.

For extra detail I printed out two of the pre-coloured butterflies from the Helga Hippo ephemera bundle, fussy cutting these out and adhered to the card so that the wings are lifted off the design.

Finishing touches where some shiny teal confetti and white gel pen highlights.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Mother's Day card - Noodle Panda - Digi Choosday - Picked just for you with Polkadoodles

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Mother's Day card.  Isn't it strange that Mother's Day falls on different days around the world.

In the UK its on March 10th, whereas in the US its May 12th.  Here in Spain its May 5th.  For my card today I chose to use one of my favourite recent collections Noodle Panda - he's such a cutie and who wouldn't want a bouquet of flowers from a cute panda.

This is a bright and cheerful easel card with yellow and hot pink cardstock which I've used to add layers of die cut hearts.  One of the hearts has a layer of Vellum in the centre.

The papers that I've used are from a New Release of Winne that's coming out very soon - so a little sneaky peak - shh don't tell Nikky !

The sentiment is from the Darling Buds collection and I've used hot pink foil to add shine.  The card when folded flat fits perfectly into an a6 envelope.

Finishing touches where some super sparkly hot pink gems a
nd, hot pink foiled candi and white  gel pen highlights.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles

Love and Kisses - Just Lovely Honeypie with Polkadoodles

Happy Tuesday everyone I hope that you are having a good week so far !

It's the start of a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

Valentine's Day is not far away now and this week the DT was asked to make a Valentine themed card so I decided to make an easel card.

I don't really make lots of valentines cards but I do love sending love cards and I think this sweet image and sentiment would be perfect for lots of different occasions, anniversaries, birthdays or just to send a little love to someone any time of the year.

I chose to use a digital stamp from the  Honeypie Just Lovely collection  this one is called Sweetheart Balloons

The digital stamp was first resized on my computer to suit a 5" circle of cardstock  before printing out and colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours used)

I chose a sentiment from the Love Always sentiment bundle and a selection of different coordinating papers from the new Love Birds - Wings of Love collection

I started by creating an easel card from a standard 6" x 6" card blank and then used my circle dies to cut a couple of different sized circles adding a layer of paper to each one before adding these to my easel card.

My coloured Honeypie image was fussy cut and adhered to the circle panel using low profile foam tape and I've added extra heard elements and a banner for interest and extra texture.

The embossed heart base for my sentiment has add distress ink gently blended over the embossing detail.

Just a few pieces of confetti were then scattered around the design.

I hope that you like my card for today and will come back to see my next project
