New Release - Christmas - Photo Strip - Reindeer with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Saturday ....I hope you are having a good weekend.

Today I'm sharing another cute DL Christmas card  made for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using another of the new Photo booth digital stamp sets.

These cards feature a very funny Reindeer, its the  Reindeer Photo Strip set available in the Etsy shop.

I really love all of these Christmas stamps as they are such versatile stamps and can be used all together as one image or you can split them to create 4 separate cards....its really hard to choose a favourite!

Just look at this naughty reindeer pretending to be Rudolph!  I hope he doesn't find out....

I resized the images to fit my landscape DL card and then coloured with my promarkers before fussy cutting each little image out.

For my landscape card I die cut a frame of aqua glitter card and the cut a panel of aqua paper from the Snow Princess collection for the background.  The little images were then adhered into the frame, some flat to the panel and some on foam tape for dimension.

I die cut the Christmas word from the glitter card and then adhered this to the bottom of the card.

Finishing touches were some glittery sparkle on the reindeers hat, white gel pen highlights, glossy accents for the nose and I added some iridescent sparkle after all you can never have too much at Christmas.

I hope that you like my cards today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

A Passion for Markers BlogSpot #761 - Autumn Friends - Di's Digi Stamps

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day and welcome to October !

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Autumn Friends' has been chosen by Me for team 2 and is being sponsored by Di's Digi Stamps

For my card today I have used a very sweet digital image that was a freebie from Di Carubia in the Kit & Clowder Facebook group in August 2022.

This is an A7 or 5" x 7" scene card, with a simple scalloped frame die cut from sky blue card.

The image was resized to suit the card and printed on alcohol friendly card stock, no fussy cutting with this card.  I have coloured with my Promarkers (see below for colours used).

To create my scene I used a blue distress ink to add clouds into the background and die cut a tree adding green ink to the bottom edge of the leaf clusters and brown ink to the trunk of the tree for dimension.

The sentiment is from Polkadoodles, with a little brown distress ink blended over the edges.

The finishing touches were some glossy simple white gel pen highlights around the design.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Butterflies - On Your Special Day with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week.

The first Friday of the month marks the start of a new Challenge for December over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge or our theme for April is Butterflies or Dragonflies, so as you use a digital or stamped image in your project, why not join in the challenge.

Winners of the challenge will receive 2 digital stamps of your choice from Pattie's shop.

Pattie has some wonderful digital stamps in her Etsy Shop pattiescreations and there is also a freebie every month on the blog that you can use in your project if you want to!

For my April  project, I chose  to use the beautiful  Butterfly 1
digital stamp to create a simple but arty DL card.  For the past couple of weeks as the weather has been improving ( it was 31C yesterday !), there have been loads of beautiful Swallowtail butterflies in the garden and I decided to  use these as my inspiration for the card and colouring today.

I resized the image 3 times to suit a DL card panel, printed it out onto alcohol marker friendly card stock before colouring with Promarkers and then fussy cutting out.  I chose to use slightly different sizes of butterflies on y card and reversed one of them for some added interest.  Whilst not anatomically correct I think these butterflies are a pretty good likeness to the ones in the garden. Next I created my background, using a peice of watercolour card.  I started by using a brush and water to add a wide, wavy strip of water down the centre of the panel of card.

Then I carefully sprinkled 4 different Brushos over the watery strip - you don't need very much of these magical powders at all for a stunning peice of card.  Once I was happy with the amount of pigment I gently spritzed a little more water onto the card to make sure all the powder had been activated and then used my heat gun to dry the panel.                                                                                                                                                         Once completely dry I splattered white ink over the coloured are for little highlights.  Next I matted this coloured panel onto my DL card blank with a piece of black card and then adhered the butterflies onto the card with foam tape for dimension.  The sentiment strip was adhered flat to the card with a small white border top and bottom.

To finish off the card I added a few dark iridescent gems around the design and added clear sparkly to the butterflies.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Sweet Birthday Wishes with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Thursday.  As its the Chinese year of the dragon I thought i'd make a dragon card but it had to be a cute once of course!

Did you know that light blue dragons represent the vastness of the sky and flight, while dark blue dragons represent still, deep waters. Blue dragons are highly protective creatures and magical.  They are a symbol of strength, wisdom and prosperity so pretty good to have around I think.

I'm here today to share sweet birthday card made using the digital stamp called Sleeping Dani Dragon  Pink Gem Designs

It's such a sweet image and the  set includes a pre-coloured digital stamp, black line art digital stamp and the sentiment too.

This is a simple A2 (US size) card with a simple stencilled background using distress ink and a cloud stencil on a panel that has the sentiment printed at the bottom.

Next I resized the sweet dragon printing out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock and colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours). Once coloured I fussy cut out the image along with 3 die cut clouds.

The clouds and Dani were mounted on the cloud panel using different depths of foam squares.

To complete my card I added some white gelly roll pen highlights, clear sparkle to the wings and scattered some shiny coordinating sequins around the design.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Love, chocolate and sunshine - Easter Swing Gnome with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Saturday and a great weekend.

I'm here today to share a sweet Easter card that I've made using a very cute new digital stamp called Easter Swing Gnome by  Pink Gem Designs

This is a simple 6" x6" card with a popup frame.  I covered the frame and the base of the card with a couple of designer papers and assembled the pop up element onto my Kraft card blank.

The Gnome on the swing was resized and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock, before colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours) and fussy cutting out.

I have attached the gnome on a strip of acetate, gluing only along the branch fro the swing so that the image hangs in the card aperture.

The sentiment from Polkadoodles was printed out and foiled and then adhered flat to the card panel, with a layer of green cardstock.

To complete my card I added some shiny green sequins and a few highlights around the design with a white gelly roll pen.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

A Passion for Markers BlogSpot Challenge #701 - Favourite Colour Combination

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all I hope that you have a lovely week ahead!

I'm here today to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Dr Digis House of Stamps

The theme this week chosen by Elaine for Team 2 is to Use a Favourite Colour Combination.

I chose to use the image Octavia the Ostrich, I think she's just fabulous and reminds me of a childhood TV program called Pipkins where Octavia the Ostrich had a French accent but in my card design she is back home in the desert of Africa.

I resized the image to suit an A6 (UK size) card and coloured her in with my Promarkers( see below for colours) before fussy cutting her out.

I have so many favourite combinations of colours but I decided to use my favourite combination of distress oxides to create a desert sky for the background.

I've blended 5 inks and then splattered this with water to give texture to the sky. Next I die cut a hillside from Neenah Desert Storm sky and added just a touch of brown ink to this before adhering to the bottom of my card panel.

I stamped a sentiment onto the hillside in brown ink and then splattered the whole panel with white acrylic paint.

The sun was created from 2 circles of yellow card and a layer of vellum layered with foam squares and just a touch of yellow ink blended around the edge of the yellow card for definition.

Don't forget there will be a prize for the Winner of the challenge - there are more details over on the Passion for Markers blog.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

A Passion for Markers BlogSpot Challenge #697 - A shaped card

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! It feels so good to be able to craft a little bit more, just slowly and being careful not to overdo it...I really missed it.

I'm here today to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Rachelle Anne Miller RAM Stamps

There are loads of sweet digital images by the very talented Rachelle Anne Miller in the on line store...well worth a look.

The theme this week chosen by Nat for Team 2 is to make a shaped card and as July is here already and that means 'Christmas in July' for us crafters, I decided to make a Christmas card....my first for Christmas in July.

I have to say that I don't make many shaped cards but I do love a simple circular card so that's what I chose along with one of the gorgeous new release digital stamps from RAM Stamps called 'Christmas Peace' , coloured with my Promarkers.

Don't forget there will be a prize for the Winner of the challenge - there are more details over on the Passion for Markers blog.

I coloured the sweet image with my promarkers (see below for colours used) and then fussy cut it out carefully  leaving a small white border.  I have used a gold gelly roll pen to outline the letters making them super sparky and added clear sparkle to the little angel.

Next I created my circular card base using dies from Lisa Horton Crafts and some of her lovely navy blue cardstock.  I chose to layer up the card with some pretty wintery papers from Craftwork cards before adding my word using foam squares for extra dimension.

Finally I have used a butterfly die to cut out 3 small butterflies, adding these around the design with small gems for detail.  I added lots of clear sparkle to the image and stickles to the flowers in the grass.

The small sentiment strip above the design is from Lisa Horton Crafts, matted on navy card and foam squares for height.

Finally I have added a little doodling around the circular card edges in gold and a scattered a few pieces of gold confetti around the design.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Majestic Butterflies Rainbow card

Hello everyone, happy Sunday to you all....we've had such a busy weekend, Friday day/night with friends in the nearby town of Lanjaron for the San Juan Water festival and then last night at our favourite restaurant listening to live music...these are definitely some of the things I love about living here but today I'm shattered and its all about recouping energy today before next week!

I hope you are having a lovely weekend too and hopefully enjoying the sun and its not too hot for you....were expecting 35C today so plenty of water !

Today I am here to share another beautiful butterfly card made for the  Jitterbug in June challenge in a Facebook group that I belong to.  This time I've used one of my all time favourite butterfly stamps from Lisa Horton Crafts.

This is the Majestic Butterflies set of stamps - drawn by the extremely talented Ann Ruffles

I wanted to create a rainbow card so started by blending distress inks on a panel of white card to create my rainbow background and then splattered with a little water for detail.

Once the panel was dry I've used a beautiful floral embossing folder again from Lisa Horton Crafts to add texture, adding a little gilding wax to the raised areas of the card.

I stamped one of the butterflies from the set onto card using Versafine Clair ink which is perfect for any water based colouring mediums before colouring them using my Spectrum Noir sparkle pens.
The butterflies were mounted onto the embossed card panel using small foam square to give lift to the wings.

Finally I have added simple sentiment strip from Lisa Horton Crafts to the card, mounted onto a white strip of card.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Card recipe:
Lisa Horton Crafts stamp - Majestic Butterflies
Versafine Clair - pine cone, twilight

Sending a hug in an envelope with Last Minute Manda

Hello everyone wishing you all a happy Monday - I hope that you all had a great weekend - its been very hot here so really felt like summer - great for drying the washing.

Our poorly little kitty Foxy went out into the garden on Saturday morning for the first time after 3 weeks inside and he's loved exploring - he's walking a lot better now although he knows he cant do trees and other jumping  just yet - fingers crossed he'll get his strength back as he heals and builds up his muscles again.

I'm back to my normal day to post for Last Minute Manda

I have made today's card using the very sweet set of digital stamps called Get Well Wishes

It's a simple A6 (UK size) card.

I have used a striped embossed folder hearts stencil for my background today. I started by blending 3 distress inks over a card stock panel to create an ombre effect and then used  the embossed folder to add the  striped texture.

Next I have used the darkest of the inks to carefully swipe over the raised embossed areas of the card to highlight the texture.

The final step for my background was to use a white Posca pen and a ruler and to add white stripes to the panel.

The sweet nurse mouse was coloured with my promarkers and I have then fussy cut him out, adding to my card with low profile foam tape.

I chose a sentiment strip from Lisa Horton crafts and sat the mouse on top of the sentiment towards the bottom of the card

To keep the card simple just a few white and iridescent sequins scattered around the design to finish it off.

Don't forget if you head over to the new Last Minute Manda store use my special discount code Wendy25 to get 25% off your shopping.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Card recipe:
Last Minute Manda digital stamp - Get Well Wishes
Darice Embossing Folder - candy stripes
Distress Ink - tattered rose. worn lipstick, candied apple
