A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #764 - For a Boy Sponsored by Di's Digis

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day !

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'For a Man or a boy' has been chosen by Me for team 2 and the prize this week is being given by

This is a simple A2 (US size) card today and I have used a super cute digital stamp from Pink Gem Designs called Dani Dragon with Balloon.

I think he's a perfect dragon for a little boy (or a big boy come to that) and I wanted to create a little nighttime scene for my dragon and was given some pretty dark sky designer paper a few years ago that I thought would be perfect for it.  I decided to stick to yellow, green and blue colours too for my more masculine card.

I started by cutting a piece of the paper to fit my card base and then used a circular die to cut an aperture.  I then used a moon stencil to create the moon that would fill the aperture using distress ink.

I resized the digital image of Dani and coloured him with promarkers before fussy cutting out.  I then adhered the coloured dragon with foam tape for dimension.

The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed on a piece of white card then I have blended distress ink over the top to blend in with the card.

The finishing touches were some pieces of gold confetti around the design, grey metallic gelly roll pen for the balloon string and white gel pen highlights.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Sweet Birthday Wishes with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Thursday.  As its the Chinese year of the dragon I thought i'd make a dragon card but it had to be a cute once of course!

Did you know that light blue dragons represent the vastness of the sky and flight, while dark blue dragons represent still, deep waters. Blue dragons are highly protective creatures and magical.  They are a symbol of strength, wisdom and prosperity so pretty good to have around I think.

I'm here today to share sweet birthday card made using the digital stamp called Sleeping Dani Dragon  Pink Gem Designs

It's such a sweet image and the  set includes a pre-coloured digital stamp, black line art digital stamp and the sentiment too.

This is a simple A2 (US size) card with a simple stencilled background using distress ink and a cloud stencil on a panel that has the sentiment printed at the bottom.

Next I resized the sweet dragon printing out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock and colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours). Once coloured I fussy cut out the image along with 3 die cut clouds.

The clouds and Dani were mounted on the cloud panel using different depths of foam squares.

To complete my card I added some white gelly roll pen highlights, clear sparkle to the wings and scattered some shiny coordinating sequins around the design.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday - it's a public holiday here today to celebrate Andalucía Day so were hoping to pop into town to see whats going on, usually food and drink and loads of speeches !

I'm here today to share another sweet Easter card that I've made using another new digital stamp called Easter Gnome by  Pink Gem Designs

Just look at those cute bunny ears! I wonder of they  are his or part of his hat....

This is a simple A2 (US size) card with a background mat layer of sparkly glitter card, die cut with a stitched edge die.

I used two glitter cards to coordinate with my Easter theme, adhering these flat to my cream card blank.

Next I resized the Gnome with his Easter eggs before printing out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock and colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours).

Once coloured I die cut the Gnome panel and then mounted this with card to give extra dimension.

The sentiment from Polkadoodles was printed out and foiled and then adhered to the bottom of the Gnome panel, with a layer of glitter cardstock for a bit more sparkle.

To complete my card I added some white gelly roll pen.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Love, chocolate and sunshine - Easter Swing Gnome with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Saturday and a great weekend.

I'm here today to share a sweet Easter card that I've made using a very cute new digital stamp called Easter Swing Gnome by  Pink Gem Designs

This is a simple 6" x6" card with a popup frame.  I covered the frame and the base of the card with a couple of designer papers and assembled the pop up element onto my Kraft card blank.

The Gnome on the swing was resized and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock, before colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours) and fussy cutting out.

I have attached the gnome on a strip of acetate, gluing only along the branch fro the swing so that the image hangs in the card aperture.

The sentiment from Polkadoodles was printed out and foiled and then adhered flat to the card panel, with a layer of green cardstock.

To complete my card I added some shiny green sequins and a few highlights around the design with a white gelly roll pen.

You Captured My Heart - Cupcake Gnome with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Thursday and I hope that your week is going well.

I'm here today to share a sweet Valentine's card that I've made using a very cute brand new digital stamp called Cupcake Gnome by  Pink Gem Designs

I have to admit that I'm not a huge Gnome fan (I know shock horror as everyone seems to love them - maybe its a childhood thing but  think they are kind of creepy!) but I thought this was so sweet I couldn't resist colouring it up for this card.

This is a very Clean and Simple A6 card with lots of lovely white space. I resized the image, printing out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock, colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours) and fussy cutting out.

For my CAS card I die cut a white heart from card for my design and adhered this to my background panel, offset to the right, cutting off the overhanging portion.

The sentiment from Polkadoodles was printed out and foiled and then adhered flat to the card panel

To complete my card I layered the white panel onto a teal card stock, adding two thin strips of the same card on either side of the sentiment strip.  I then adhered the Gnome with foam tape, offsetting to the left of the design and added teal confetti to add some extra shine.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Don't let anyone dull your Sparkle - Cocktail Molly with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Thursday and I hope that your week is going well.

I'm here today to share a birthday card that I've made for a special friend using a fabulous and fun digital stamp called Cocktail Molly by  Pink Gem Designs

She's a little bit cheeky but I'm sure the recipient will love her!

I started this 5" x 7" card by resizing the image, printing out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock, colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours) and fussy cutting out.

I wanted the background to look like bubble to coordinate with the image so used a stencil and distress inks.  To accentuate the bubbles I've used a white gel pen to add little reflective highlights.

This panel was then die cut to give a stitched edge and layered onto a piece of gold mirri card.

The sentiment from Polkadoodles was printed out and foiled with gold foil before layering onto the same gold card.

I used an oval die to cut a piece of vellum and adhered this to the centre of the card and then added my coloured image, adhering with foam squares for dimension.

The finishing touches were the addition of gold confetti around the design and the sentiment was tucked into the design.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

I'll take a coffee with a cup of sunshine with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Saturday!

On my blog today I thought I'd share a non Christmas card made for Pink Gem Designs using a digital stamp from one of favourite sets the Busy Owls.   I have used the black line art stamp from this fabulous set which includes 6 different owls and the leafy branch for them to sit on.

If you don't like to colour then don't worry as there is a pre-coloured version of this set too.

This is Olivia Owl and she's sending a special cup of sunshine wishes.

This is a one layer card made by resizing Olivia the owl sitting on her branch to suit an A6 card, I positioned a circle in the sky for the sun and added a digital Sentiment across the panel.

I used a cloud stencil and blue distress ink to create my background and finally added glossy accents to Olivia's eyes to make them pop of the page.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Magic is in the Air with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone and a happy Saturday...I hope that you have had a great week and  are looking forward to the weekend.

Today I'm here with a Christmas card for Pink Gem Designs using a very cute digital stamp from the Christmas Kittens set of stamps.

This is a gorgeous set of stamps that includes 10 black line images and 2 sentiments.  If you prefer not to colour then there is a pre-coloured version also available.

Today's card is a 6" x 6" snow globe aperture card  with a wintery scene. This would make a perfect shaker card too.

I have created a landscape A6 (UK Size), resizing the image to suit and adding one of the sentiments, before printing out onto alcohol friendly cardstock.

I normally use Transotype Perfect Colouring Paper 250g/m for my colouring printing it out at a reduced black intensity of around 40%  to prevent any bleeding and give a softer grey outline which I prefer.

Once coloured in with my Promarkers (see below for the colours), I fussy cut the kitten and mouse image, before mounting this in the snow globe using foam tape for dimension.

To create the card I used a couple of nesting circle dies to create the aperture in a piece of cardstock and die cut a thin silver frame for the edge of the snow globe. I added snowy dots around the panel using a stencil and distress ink, blending around the edge of the panel also.

I used distress inks to create my wintery background splattering with white ink for snow before adhering this to the card blank behind the aperture window.

The Christmas trees are pre-coloured ephemera from my collection of Polkadoodles images, fussy cut out and adhered to the background.

I've added extra sparkle to the Christmas trees and the pom pom of the mouses hat and added gems to the snow globe base and around the scene.

I really hope that you like my  card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Sending Snow Hugs with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone and a happy Friday...I hope that you have had a great week and  are looking forward to the weekend.

We've been busy pruning this week and we've more or less finished one of the terraces...another two to do !  We've decided to have a quiet chilling sort of day today, a little pottering around doing small  jobs as were out on a 10Km walk tomorrow so need to conserve the energy and our feet !

It's still beautiful and sunny during the day but the nights are definitely getting colder and i think well have the log burner on very soon.

Today I'm here with a Christmas card for Pink Gem Designs using the very cute new digital stamp Christmas Luna - isn't she a sweetheart

This is a gorgeous  set of stamps that included a black line image, a pre-coloured version and 2 sentiments.

She reminds me of the little girl  Cindy Lou Who from the Christmas film The Grinch.

Once coloured in with my Promarkers (see below for the colours), I used a snow stencil and clear embossing paste to add snow to the background.  Once this was completely dry I have blended a couple of distress inks across the sky - the stencil paste resists the ink.

To mount the image onto my card base I have added a panel of blue and silver glitter card and then finished off the design with sparkle on the Christmas trees and Luna's boots.

I really hope that you like my  card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ðŸ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !
