Digi Choosday - Easter card - Spring into Easter - Slider card - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create an Easter Slider card using - You know these are my favourite card styles at the moment I'm sure.

I decided to create a larger A7 5" x 7" card today, creating the card base from a textured yellow card stock.

I chose a couple of the pretty papers from the Spring into Easter collection to layer onto the card base.

Next I resized the cute chick image in my graphics software before printing out, colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.

The main image was adhered to the bottom of the pop up panel of the slider mechanism.

Next I die cut the letters to spell Easter from the collection and adhered these flat to the inside of the slider - don't forget anything added here needs to be completely flat or the mechanism will not work properly.

I added a little circle of card to the top of the sliding panel to allow it to be pulled by the recipient.

To finish off my project I added some super sparkly gold confetti around the design and some white gel pen highlights on the image.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Happy Easter Freebie from Dis Digis

Hello and Happy Easter everyone! I hope you have had a lovely weekend so far.  We've had a lovely Easter, a bit wet but we're not complaining about that as the rain is desperately needed - a shame for the Easter Feria, walks and for the processions but it's just how it is.

Today I am sharing a sweet Easter card that I've made using a free digital stamp from the very generous Di's Digi Stamps

The digital was free to everyone in her lovely group on Facebook so why not head over and join the group as Di gives freebies like this regularly to her lovely group members.

This little cutie is so adorable I couldn't resist colouring her and making an extra Easter card.  I decided to use a fairly muted colour palette today for a change, you can see the colours that I've used below and once she was coloured I fussy cut her out.  To create the card I used the chosen colors to pick 3 pieces of cardstock, cutting them with a die to fit my A6 size card.

Then I used an oval die to cut out the centre of each peice of card, I thought the oval shape tied in with the Easter eggs.

The top layer of the design was embossed with a floral embossing folder and I  added a little white ink with a brayer across the embossed design to highlight the pattern.

I chose a piece of gingham paper and added a layer of this to the card blank and then adhered the coloured card panels on top, before finally adding my little girl image with foam tape for dimension.

The sentiment strip is from Polkadoodles collection, simply cut and adhered to the card.  The finishing touches are some white gel pen highlights and some sparkly pink confetti around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Sending Sweet Thoughts for a happy, hoppy Easter with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday - it's a public holiday here today to celebrate Andalucรญa Day so were hoping to pop into town to see whats going on, usually food and drink and loads of speeches !

I'm here today to share another sweet Easter card that I've made using another new digital stamp called Easter Gnome by  Pink Gem Designs

Just look at those cute bunny ears! I wonder of they  are his or part of his hat....

This is a simple A2 (US size) card with a background mat layer of sparkly glitter card, die cut with a stitched edge die.

I used two glitter cards to coordinate with my Easter theme, adhering these flat to my cream card blank.

Next I resized the Gnome with his Easter eggs before printing out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock and colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours).

Once coloured I die cut the Gnome panel and then mounted this with card to give extra dimension.

The sentiment from Polkadoodles was printed out and foiled and then adhered to the bottom of the Gnome panel, with a layer of glitter cardstock for a bit more sparkle.

To complete my card I added some white gelly roll pen.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Love, chocolate and sunshine - Easter Swing Gnome with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Saturday and a great weekend.

I'm here today to share a sweet Easter card that I've made using a very cute new digital stamp called Easter Swing Gnome by  Pink Gem Designs

This is a simple 6" x6" card with a popup frame.  I covered the frame and the base of the card with a couple of designer papers and assembled the pop up element onto my Kraft card blank.

The Gnome on the swing was resized and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock, before colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours) and fussy cutting out.

I have attached the gnome on a strip of acetate, gluing only along the branch fro the swing so that the image hangs in the card aperture.

The sentiment from Polkadoodles was printed out and foiled and then adhered flat to the card panel, with a layer of green cardstock.

To complete my card I added some shiny green sequins and a few highlights around the design with a white gelly roll pen.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #726 - Add some Sparkle

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day !

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Add some Sparkle' has been chosen by Elaine for team 2 and being sponsored by Rachelle Anne Miller Digital Stamps

I chose to use one of the new digital images called Stacked Chicks for my card today.... They look like they are having loads of fun with their Easter eggs.

This is a 5 x 7 portrait card with absolutely loads of sparkle although this is really hard to take photographs of so you will have to trust me ! - It's very  Sparkly!

The image was
resized to suit the card, printed on a laser printer and then coloured with my Promarkers.

To create my scene for the chicks I've blended a little tumble glass distress ink over the background for the sky and then used my Minc to apply a super sparkly glitter foil to the design.  The Minc foil is basically applied to all of the LaserJet printed areas - so the outline of the image.

Next I adhered a piece of striped pattern paper to my card blank, edge to edge leaving no white border.

I wanted to frame the main image so decided to die cut an arch from a piece of sparkly lemon glitter card and I thin border from from a burgundy card to coordinate with the designer series paper on the card blank.

I used a stitched rectangle die to add a detailed edge to the glitter card.

To finish off my very sparkly design a handful of sequins were adhered around the panel for just a bit more sparkle.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

I Love Promarkers #552 - Easter - Sponsored by Paper Nest Dolls

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday!

I'm on my blog today for the new bi-weekly I Love Promarkers blog challenge , it would be wonderful if you joined us over there if you love to colour with alcohol markers and don't forget there are prizes up for grabs.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Paper Nest Dolls

Here is my inspiration card for the current blog challenge with the theme - Easter, using the super cute Bunny Wagon digital stamp.

I don't tend to make many Easter cards, but I thought this image was so sweet and perfect to send to family in the UK....I've kept this a simply card without lots of layers but there is still dimension, bearing in mind postage costs.

Todays card is a 5" x 7" using a Kraft card blank for the base.  I added a layer of a sweet check paper to this and the image was resized and printed out to suit before colouring with promarkers and added with another layer of Kraft card.

I used a couple of stencils to create the background using distress inks and I added a die cut sunshine into the top corner.

I added little flicks of grass around the girl and the bunny wagon, this helps to ground the design so they are not floating in mid air.

The sentiment has been foiled using a gold foil which gives a super shiny look and I added a small disc of gold glitter card to the sunshine to tie in with the sentiment.

I really hope that you like my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

New Release - Spring into Easter - Chocolate Time Chick with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone wishing you a very happy Tuesday and I hope that you are all enjoying the week and looking forward to the Easter weekend.

It's that time again when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is Easter so I chose to use one of the sweet little Chicks from the latest collection called Spring into Easter for my card today.

This naughty little chick is called Chocolate Time Chick - isn't he naughty eating all that chocolate and blaming it on poor Bunny!

I've used a couple of the papers from the new collection from set 2 and set 3 to create a background for my sweet chick adding a cheeky sentiment from the Spring into Easter Messages bundle to the striped background before printing it out.

I decided to make a fun shaker card so die cut an oval from this striped panel - to look like an egg and added yellow and pink sequins into my shaker element.  I like to adhere some of the sequins to the background card, this make sure that there are always sequins in view in the window when the card is stood up for display.

This collection is packed with cute little chicks that I think are perfect for loads of different Spring occasions and not just for Easter cards and I'm sure that you are going to love them.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from this cute new Easter / Spring collection
