New Release - Something Spooky - Halloween card - Cute Halloween Bundle - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Sunday......I'm a bit late updating my blog today - it's been a very sultry day here so not been doing much at all but we're out to some friends house shortly for a few drinks tonight which I'm looking forward to.

It's time to share another cutie for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)  using their latest  Cute Halloween bundle featuring 35 very cute Ghosties, ghoulies and witches, definitely everything you need to create some fantastic Halloween projects.

The huge bundle is now available in the Etsy shop and don't forget the amazing special offer.....

As well as this fabulous new bundle for a limited time, if you spend £25 on digital stamps, including this new set then you will receive £200 worth of digital sets,  that's 39 sets with over 600 images so don't miss out as the offer ends tonight at midnight GMT

For my third card I've used the cute little Spider - can spiders actually be cute ? hmm I'm not sure but maybe its the hat as this one definitely is.

I resized the spider to fit my 6" x6" card and then printed out, colouring with promarkers before fussy cutting out....I also printed out a fabulous spooky sentiment too.

I then create a simple stencilled background with some distress oxide inks and a spider web stencil.

To create a tunnel effect I die cut 3 hexagonal frames from black glitter card and adhered these over the stencilled panel offsetting each to give a spiralling effect before adding the little spider into his web using foam tape for a little dimension.

Finishing touches were some glossy accents to the spiders eyes and some purple confetti around the design for my definitely too cute to spook card.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....Its September already and were already starting to think about Autumn and Halloween...sad really as the Summer months go by so fast although Ill be glad for the lower temperatures to come.

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is Halloween / Autumn is coming
so I decided to use the Hocus Pocus collection for my shaped card today.... I don't make lots of Halloween cards but this was fun to create.

It's the perfect collection of digital stamps, sentiments and ephemera and comes in black and white images for you to colour but also in pre-coloured format.

I wanted to create the look of a spiders web for my card so used some of my nesting dies to create a shaped card cutting from black card.  Next I cut a slightly smaller piece of white card  and then used the fabulous Funky Vortex stencil to create my swirling pattern using black, orange, lime green and purple distress inks.  Once I was happy with the depth of colour, I used a couple of Posca pens to add little dots to the swirls to look like magic swirling into the centre of the design.

For some extra interest I die cut two smaller frames from black card and adhered these over the panel to give the look of a cobweb.

For the main focal image I merged the little witch in the pumpkin and the kitty in the pumpkin together before printing out on alcohol marker friendly cardstock, colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.

I adhered the witch and kitty to the shaped card base using foam tape for dimension along with one of the sentiments from the collection.

To finish off the design I added white gelly roll pen highlights and some purple confetti around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

New Release - Ghosties & Ghoulies - Halloween card - Cute Halloween Bundle - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Sunday......So September arrives tomorrow and as crafters were all busy making those Autumn and Halloween cards

It's new release day for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)  with their latest  Cute Halloween bundle featuring 35 very cute Ghosties, ghoulies and witches, definitely everything you need to create some fantastic Halloween projects.

The huge bundle is now available in the Etsy shop.

As well as this fabulous new bundle there is also an amazing offer on right now in the store..... for a limited time, if you spend £25 on digital stamps, including this new set then you will receive £200 worth of digital sets,  that's 39 sets with over 600 images so don't miss out.

For my first card I've used the cute little ghost, printing him out 3 times (I've revered the image on one of them too!). They were coloured very simply with a bright lime green just for the shading and then fussy cut out.

The card is a larger A7 card 5" x 7" with a background made from grey card stock that has been stencilled with brick work....I added extra white gel pen highlights to the brickwork.  I wanted to create the look of a doorway to a spooky house.  I added an arch of brown for the doorway and cut out an arched aperture.

Inside the house there is a cobweb panel, its a laser printed design that I have added mint green foil too and blended with lime green and grey ink.

Steps for the doorway were simply cut from grey card and shaded with ink and then adhered to the bottom of the door.

I then adhered the little ghosts and the sign into the centre of the panel.

Finishing touches were some glossy accents to the ghosts eyes and some black gems around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Quirky birds - Princess of Hearts Collection - Life is Sweeter - with Julia McNeil Designs

Hello everyone Happy Friday everyone !  I hope you are enjoying the Summer - its a little bit hot here so having to spend quite a bit of time indoors keeping out of the heat but hopefully a few more weeks and the heat will start to ease off.

Today I have a fun and quirky little card that I have made using the quirky bird from the Princess of Hearts Mini digital collection.  Its supposed to be a flamingo but I do like to make something different!

A few years ago we bought a quirky bird from a friends mum.  She had made it from varnished gourds and false flowers among other recycled bits and pieces and we love it.

It's hanging in our lounge amongst the plants...we're not sure what type of bird it is but when I saw the digital image in this fun collection I knew I had to make a fun and quirky card using it.

Certain to bring a smile to anyone's face I think LOL

I resized 2 of the images and reversed one of them before printing out along with one of the hearts and a sentiment from the collection.

The two quirky birds were coloured with my Polychromos pencils.

The  background was stencilled with distress inks and I added shading with a couple of pencils and highlights with a white gelly roll pen.

A simple die cut frame for the birds and some coloured card strips at the bottom for my fun card for today.

Finishing touches were white gelly roll pen highlights and glossy accents to the eyes .

I do hope that you like my card for today and I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by LeAnn's World 101 and our theme of 'For a Child' this week was chosen for team 2 by Kitty.

I chose to use a really sweet image called Annette coloured with Promarkers, before fussy cutting out.  The sentiments are from Polkadoodles Rebel Girl collection.

I decided to keep the colour palette bright and simple using stencils and distress inks to create the background beach scene.   To add detail to the foam on the waters edge I've used a little white gesso on my finger and white gel pen on the waves.

Anette was coloured with my promarkers before fussy cutting out and adding to the scene with glossy accents on the bobbles in her hair.

The two sentiments have been foiled  for a touch of shine.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create something using butterflies with am In the garden theme.

I love being in the garden and seeing the beautiful butterflies flying around so this was the perfect theme for me.  I decided to combine some digital papers, a stencil and a beautiful stamp for todays challenge.

I created an upright easel card and started off by choosing a floral gorgeous paper from the Flower Meadow digital kit to layer onto my card with a matt layer of purple card stock.  For the upright panel I used the pale lilac striped paper from the kit as I wanted to add stencilling to this.

I die cut a frame from purple card and used distress inks to add a darker shade at the bottom of the frame.

Next I stamped the beautiful butterfly from the Hearts and Flowers Butterfly stamp set, I wanted a deep purple so used a dark blue ink and a lighter purple over the top to get the colour I wanted.

I used distress inks over the butterfly before cutting out and adhering to the panel with foam tape.

The card stopped is a simple strip of card with a sentiment printed out from the  collection.

Finishing touches were a few pieces of purple confetti around the card and some sparkle to the butterflies.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #795 - Beach Vibes - Sponsored by Uniko Stamps

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all ! I hope you are all well and the week has started well.  Its my son's birthday today - he's 28 years old which I cant quite believe as it makes me feel very old indeed!

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge.

This weeks challenge is being sponsored by Uniko stamps and our theme of 'Beach Vibes' this week was chosen for team 2 by Me...

I think spending days at the beach in the Summer is the perfect way to cool off - especially when the beaches are quieter !

For my challenge I chose to use one of my favourite digital images by Krista Leigh Smith aka Saturated Canary - this is called Toes in the sand. Sadly Krista has closed her shop due to other commitments but she's promised us shell pop up every now and then with images for us to colour.

I have created a simple A7 card with a distress oxide ink background to coordinate with the fun surfer girl image.  I wanted to give the effect of sun rays from behind the surfer girl so used a stencil and a baby wipe to lift some of the ink off the sky section of the design.

I resized the image to suit my card blank and then printed out onto alcohol friendly card stock before colouring with my Promarkers and fussy cutting out.  The digital sentiment was added to the panel before printing.  The image was adhered to the card with foam tape for dimension.

I added white gelly  roll pen highlights to the water and some sparkly sequins around the design.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !
