Digi Choosday - Bella Bear Christmas - Christmas in July - Not a Card - Christmas rosettes with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....My goodness the heat has been so high here now for weeks...I cant really imagine it getting much hotter but its only the first week of July !

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create something to celebrate Christmas in July but not a card - hmm....that got me thinking but I'm up for a challenge.

I decided to make a little home décor for Christmas so created 3 little Christmas rosettes

I chose to use the Bella Bear Christmas collection for my sweet and easy project today.

I chose 2 snowflake papers, one is from the Bella Bear Christmas collection and the other is from the Gingerbread Holly collection

I decided to create 3 rosettes, the larger one is made from 2" wide strips of paper, I cut 2 each measuring 2" x 11".  The smaller two rosettes are using 1 1/2" strips, cutting 4 strips measuring 1 1/2" x 11".

Each strip of paper was scored at 1/2" all the way along and concertina folded, then I have joined 2 strips together with wet glue to form loops.  I die cut 4 small circles of card and then used these on the backs of each rosette applying hot glue and holding each in shape while drying.

Once the rosettes were formed I added some cream twine to each so they could be hung from a tree at Christmas but they would make perfect gift tags too for special presents.

Next I chose 2 pre-coloured ephemera images and one of the pre-coloured Bella Bear images, printing each one out twice.

I die cute the image, layered onto die cut card and then used the hot glue to adhere these to the rosettes.

I then fussy cut out the images again and layered these onto the bottom image with foam tape.

The finishing touches were some sparkly stickles on each image and glossy accents onto Bella's nose and the holly berries.

I'm really pleased how these turned out and I'll definitely be making some more for this Christmas.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego 👋

Get Well Soon - Waving Animals - Flower Pockets with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Saturday....I hope you are enjoying the weekend so far... we're both under the weather at the moment with horrid coughs and colds and the high temperatures outside are definitely not helping so my card today is perfect for us.

I'm here today with a sweet little card for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) featuring a cute little kitty  from the Waving Animals digital stamp set available in the Etsy shop.

It's a huge set of 18 cute little waving animals - you will be spoilt for choice and there are 30 sentiments included too.

Its a perfect set for so many different occasions so I would definitely recommend it. The design of the card was inspired by a crafty friend and I thought the little kitty would be perfect combined with one of the Flower Pockets

Just some simple colouring with my promarkers for the kitty and distress inks for the pocket and simple fussy cutting out...I used foam tape to adhere the little pocket and 3D glue gel to add the kitty into the pocket.

The background paper is from an older collection of watercolour papers by Craftwork Cards (sadly no longer in business)

Finishing touches were some clear iridescent sequins around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hasta luego 👋

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Coffee or Drinks themed card with a matching pun.

I chose the Latte Coffee Cup from the Coffee Tea Cake Collection, resizing the cup image to entirely fill an A6 card front.  I also added a couple of the cute puns from the collection, one to the lid of the cup and one to the cardboard holder before printing out and colouring with my Promarkers.

Can you guess what my favourite coffee outlet was in the UK ?  We had one on site at work and I used to go everyday for a large latte !

I adhered the panel to the front of the card blank and then fussy cut out the right hand side of the panel adding a piece of red check paper from the collection to the inside panel of the card.

Next I added some coffee splatters around the edge with distress ink and a stencil.

To finish off my project I added some card candi and a die cut heart before covering these with glossy accents.

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Mermaid themed card.

I decided to use an image from the Winnie Mermazing collection - this is Collecting shells to create a pretty 5" x7" or A7 card.

I chose one of the papers from the collection to layer onto my card cutting out two circular apertures, one for a sentiment and another for the sweet dolphins (coloured with promarkers) which is from the Coral Mermaid collection.  I used teal foil for the sentiment and then adhered these onto the card base under the circular apertures.

The main image was resized along with a number of seashells before printing out and colouring in with promarkers and fussy cutting out, layering at the bottom of my card panel.

To finish off my project I added some clear sparkle pen to the shells and her tail and teal confetti  around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Rainbow cards - Happy Days - A5 Stamp Set- Digital Stamp Set - New Release with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Thursday....I hope the week has been fun for you, the weather is still being very unpredictable here which is great for the garden with all the rain but not good for the Semana Santa festivities here in our town which kick off today.

Fingers crossed the Easter Processions don't have to be curtailed due to the wind and rain.

I'm here today with two sweet rainbow themed cards for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using stamps from the new Happy Days collection, they are available as A5 Polymer stamp sets and also as a digital stamp format giving so much versality now available in the Etsy shop

I started off by resizing the circular sentiments on my compute before printing out and then stamping the basket of flowers and the yummy looking cake onto card stock and then coloured using my Polychromos pencils.

I used some pretty dies from my stash to die cut the two images out on white and cream card.

Next I created my rainbow backgrounds, cutting 1/2 " strips of card and adhering this to a panel of card in two patterns before die cutting with a fancy scalloped edge.

Finishing touches were some confetti or sequins around the designs, clear sparkle to the flowers and the rainbow and glossy accents to the cherry on the cake.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Digi Choosday - Perfect Peony - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a thank you card but not a square or a rectangle.

So I chose to create a circular rocker style card - these are so simple to make and really effective too.  The finished card fits a standard 6" x 6" envelope, so perfect to pop in the post.

I created the base of my card, die cutting  a fancy edged circle from pink card stock and then folding this in half, scoring and burnishing.

I decided for my main image to use the beautiful pre-coloured Perfect Peony digi deal, resizing this to fit my card before printing out 3 times.  I chose a sentiment from the Honey pie Just Lovely greeting bundle and added this to my base layer. These images are perfect when you don't have much time but want to make a beautiful but quick card.

I used a torn edge die to cut out the base image and then fussy cut out extra flowers, decoupaging with foam for dimension.

To finish off my project I added some ultrafine flower soft to the centre of the flowers and some confetti around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Digi Choosday - Noodle Panda Card with Leaves - Party Like a Panda - with Polkadoodles

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a card with a Panda or a Bear and include leaves

I decided to create a square 6" x 6" pop up frame card today and use my favourite Noodle Panda collection

I created the pop up frame for my base card from dark green card stock and cut a circular aperture in the centre of this. Next I layered a peice of leafy green paper over the pop up panel cutting a slightly larger circular aperture in the centre to green a border of dark green card around it.

Before adhering the pop up frame to the card blank I added a different leafy paper into the centre of the panel - this would show through the aperture.

Next I resized the Noodle image image in my graphics software before printing out, colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.  The cut out image was then adhered behind the aperture.

I printed out two sentiments from the Noodle collection and foiled these before adding to the card using foam tape.

I used a couple of dies to cut out leaves from green card adding distress ink to the edges for shading and colour and then added these to the design, tucking them behind the sentiments.

To finish off my project I added some pale green iridescent sequins around the design and some white gel pen highlights on the image.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

Our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create an Easter Slider card using - You know these are my favourite card styles at the moment I'm sure.

I decided to create a larger A7 5" x 7" card today, creating the card base from a textured yellow card stock.

I chose a couple of the pretty papers from the Spring into Easter collection to layer onto the card base.

Next I resized the cute chick image in my graphics software before printing out, colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting out.

The main image was adhered to the bottom of the pop up panel of the slider mechanism.

Next I die cut the letters to spell Easter from the collection and adhered these flat to the inside of the slider - don't forget anything added here needs to be completely flat or the mechanism will not work properly.

I added a little circle of card to the top of the sliding panel to allow it to be pulled by the recipient.

To finish off my project I added some super sparkly gold confetti around the design and some white gel pen highlights on the image.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

My sweet bunny is from the Love Always collection - its called Love you this much and he was resized and printed out before colouring with promarkers and fussy cutting him out.

Life is Sweeter - New Release - Princess of Hearts Mini collection - with Julia McNeil Designs

Hello everyone Happy Friday!

I hope that you've had a great week and you are not suffering too much with the cold weather....it's lovely and sunny here during the day and quite hot if you are working in the sun but as soon as you are in the shade or inside the house it's blooming freezing... LOL oh well it will soon be Spring...The almond trees are already blossoming.

Today I'm back to share a sweet card for JMC Designs  that I've made using the brand new Princess of Hearts mini collection.

This fabulous new mini digi kit contains:

  • 1 digi image line art & pre coloured

  • 2 ephemera sheets line art & pre coloured

  • 3 digi papers

It's definitely perfect for anyone that loves Alice in Wonderland or the very popular Wicked (I've still not seen it but it's on my watchlist !)

For my striking card today I've used the yummy looking fairy cake - coloured with promarkers and its also been foiled in hot pink although its quite hard to see in the photo.

I used the blank and white harlequin paper for the background with a simple offset white die cut heart splattered with metallic black watercolour paint.

Finishing touches were some black glossy drops around the design.

Don't forget to share your creations with this lovely new kit in the Facebook group JMC's Crazy Crafty Hive

I do hope that you like my card for today and I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment.
