New Release - Spooky Time & Spooky Season - Halloween card & Tag - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone... I hope that you are having a good week so far - we are expecting some lovely rain this afternoon - yeah !  I know it's a bit strange wishing for the rain LOL

It's Halloween Week so today I'm sharing 2 of my projects - a card and a tag. which have both been created using the brand new Creepy Creatures collection  by Polkadoodles.

For my first card - Spooky Time I've used the strange and creepy little Candy Corns from the Creepy Things bundle

I resized them to create 3 different  creepies and printed them out before colouring with Promarkers and fussy cutting out....we didn't have Candy Corn really in the UK and definitely not here in Spain but these are super spooky with their little rabbit ears .

I used papers from the collection to mat and layer onto the DL card leaving a torn edge on the striped paper for texture.

The SPOOKY word was die cut from black card and then sprayed with Distress Mica Spray

The little candy corns were tucked around the word and the card was finished off with sparkly gems.

A fun and cute Spooky card I think....

My second Halloween make today is a cute and simple little tag - perfect for a Halloween gift or goody bag

The cute little Bat boy dressed up was resized to suit my tag and then I decided to colour him him dressing up as a tiger...its actually a little bat costume but all I could see was a kitty or a tiger.  Coloured with promarkers and fussy cut out.

The tag background was created with distress inks and the mica sprays.

The finishing touches were some gems, glossy accents, wool for the tag and the sentiment, cut out and inked with lime green ink

I hope that you like my projects today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - Bella Bear Christmas - Christmas in July - Not a Card - Christmas rosettes with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....My goodness the heat has been so high here now for weeks...I cant really imagine it getting much hotter but its only the first week of July !

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create something to celebrate Christmas in July but not a card - hmm....that got me thinking but I'm up for a challenge.

I decided to make a little home décor for Christmas so created 3 little Christmas rosettes

I chose to use the Bella Bear Christmas collection for my sweet and easy project today.

I chose 2 snowflake papers, one is from the Bella Bear Christmas collection and the other is from the Gingerbread Holly collection

I decided to create 3 rosettes, the larger one is made from 2" wide strips of paper, I cut 2 each measuring 2" x 11".  The smaller two rosettes are using 1 1/2" strips, cutting 4 strips measuring 1 1/2" x 11".

Each strip of paper was scored at 1/2" all the way along and concertina folded, then I have joined 2 strips together with wet glue to form loops.  I die cut 4 small circles of card and then used these on the backs of each rosette applying hot glue and holding each in shape while drying.

Once the rosettes were formed I added some cream twine to each so they could be hung from a tree at Christmas but they would make perfect gift tags too for special presents.

Next I chose 2 pre-coloured ephemera images and one of the pre-coloured Bella Bear images, printing each one out twice.

I die cute the image, layered onto die cut card and then used the hot glue to adhere these to the rosettes.

I then fussy cut out the images again and layered these onto the bottom image with foam tape.

The finishing touches were some sparkly stickles on each image and glossy accents onto Bella's nose and the holly berries.

I'm really pleased how these turned out and I'll definitely be making some more for this Christmas.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Digi Choosday - Wednesdays - Snowman Card with a front pocket with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday I hope that your having a good week so far....I hope you have remembered our new Digi Choosday is now on a Wednesday.

As were now in October..... yes its flying by...time to crack on with all of those Christmas makes !

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Snowman card with a pocket on the front so I decided to
use the fabulous and very cute new Gingerbread Cookie release..... I just love all these sweet little Gingerbread cookies as they look like they are having so much fun.  I know its a Gingerbread but my card today features the Snowman Gingerbread Cookie.

It's a very simple A6 card today with layers of pretty papers from the collection layered onto teal satin card.  To create the pocket on the front I simply cut two panels on an angle and layered them with patterned papers.  To create the pocket itself I have mounted these onto the card using foam tape to crate dimension, adding foam only at the edge and the bottom of the pocket, allowing something to be included in the pocket.

Just a few touches of glitter was added to the snowman's pompom on his bobble hat and a few pieces of confetti around the design.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from
Polkadoodles.
