Sending Snow Hugs with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone and a happy Friday...I hope that you have had a great week and  are looking forward to the weekend.

We've been busy pruning this week and we've more or less finished one of the terraces...another two to do !  We've decided to have a quiet chilling sort of day today, a little pottering around doing small  jobs as were out on a 10Km walk tomorrow so need to conserve the energy and our feet !

It's still beautiful and sunny during the day but the nights are definitely getting colder and i think well have the log burner on very soon.

Today I'm here with a Christmas card for Pink Gem Designs using the very cute new digital stamp Christmas Luna - isn't she a sweetheart

This is a gorgeous  set of stamps that included a black line image, a pre-coloured version and 2 sentiments.

She reminds me of the little girl  Cindy Lou Who from the Christmas film The Grinch.

I have created a landscape A6 (UK Size), resizing the image to suit and adding one of the sentiments, before printing out onto alcohol friendly cardstock.

I normally use Transotype Perfect Colouring Paper 250g/m for my colouring printing it out at a reduced black intensity of around 40%  to prevent any bleeding and give a softer grey outline which I prefer.

Once coloured in with my Promarkers (see below for the colours), I used a snow stencil and clear embossing paste to add snow to the background.  Once this was completely dry I have blended a couple of distress inks across the sky - the stencil paste resists the ink.

To mount the image onto my card base I have added a panel of blue and silver glitter card and then finished off the design with sparkle on the Christmas trees and Luna's boots.

I really hope that you like my  card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Let it Snow - Snowman with Robins with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone and a happy Monday... I hope that you all had a good weekend

Today I'm here with a very sparkly snowman card for Pink Gem Designs using the very sweet Snowman with Robins digital stamp set

This set of digital stamps includes  a gorgeous black line and a pre-coloured image a 2 coordinating sentiments.

This is a sweet card A6 (UK Size).

I created a simple snowy background blending 3 distress inks across my background panel.

Next I used some vary sparkly stencil paste to add snow across the entire panel, allowing this to dry completely before adhering to my A6 card blank.

I used a simple stitched border die to cut out the panel - using dies can help make sure our panels are perfectly cut as I know a lot of people ( including me !) have problems cutting with guillotines and paper trimmers.

Whilst my background is drying I then resized the snowman and sentiment to  fit, printing out on alcohol marker friendly cardstock before printing out, colouring with my Promarkers and then fussy cutting out.

I then simply adhered the snowman to the card using foam tape for dimension and added the sentiment at the bottom of the card.

A very simply and super sparkly card!

I really hope that you like my clean and simple card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Gift Just for You with Amanda Jayne Designs

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Sunday !

I'm back today to share another Christmas project for Amanda Jayne Designs

I chose to use the super cute penguin coloured printable - called Gift Penguin again as I think he is just the sweetest little chap and I couldn't resist - I've made three cards actually but you'll have to wait to see the third card next Saturday!

For my second card I decided to print out one of the smaller of the images from the set and create a portrait A6 (UK size) card

I have created a snowy background for him blending two distress inks to create the sky and then added snow using a stencil, stencil paste and glitter dust.

For the snowy hills I chose one of the papers from the Mint Christmas collection for the snowy hills and a hillside die.

The little penguin was fussy cut out and then added to the background using foam tape and I have added a sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments set at the bottom of my design

To finish off my card I have added some sparkly glitter over the falling snow across the image and just a little on the ground beneath the image.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Always look for Rainbows with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone and a happy Saturday... I hope that you have a lovely weekend.

We went to the cinema yesterday to watch a film - I had a gift voucher to spend from my birthday but hopefully the weekend will be a quiet one after our visitors and the heat, sleeping at night hasn't been easy this week and I'm terrible if I don't get my 10 hours!

It's been so hot here lately and the garden is really struggling with no rain in sight so for todays card I thought I'd make a rainy day card - definitely wishful. thinking

Here is my latest card made for for Pink Gem Designs using the very sweet Rainy Day Bunnies Digital Stamp Set

It's a beautiful set of digital stamps and includes 6 black line art images and 2 sentiments for you to use.  There is also a pre-coloured version if you prefer.

It's a simple one layer card A6 (UK Size).  The image was resized to fit the panel with one of the coordinating sentiments from the set at the bottom of the panel.

I've altered the sentiment to blue font as I thought this might encourage the rain to arrive too!

The Bunnies were coloured with my Promarkers and then I have used a rainbow stencil with distress inks for the background.

The final addition to the card was some clear stencil paste added with a raindrop stencil and some clear sparkle for the puddle beneath the image.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

I Love Promarkers DT - Challenge #533 - black & white

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday! I hope that you are having a lovely week.

I'm back on my blog today with the I Love Promarkers blog challenge  which is bi-weekly and it would be wonderful if you joined us, there are prizes up for grabs too.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Colour of LoveHeather Valentin is a new artist for me and there are lots of beautiful images and colouring pages in her shop to play with so it was really difficult to choose for today.

Here is my inspiration card for the blog challenge with the theme of a Black and White card, using a fun image called Sleepy Time Agnes

I think this would make a perfect modern looking and non traditional new baby card and its super sparkly in real life.

I decided to create a 6" x 6" card today for this sweet image, I've used a Kraft card base and then cut a peice of white card to size leaving a small border. Next I have cut a peice of black card stock again leaving a border of white.

To create my starry background I've used a starry 2 part stencil from Lawn Fawn, for the first layer I've added white ink and then let this dry. For the second layer I have used clear stencil past through the second stencil and then added a white sparkly glitter to the stars allowing this to completely dry before adding to my card base.

The digital stamp was resized to fit my card and then printed out onto alcohol marker friendly card before colouring with my promarkers (see below for colours used).  Once coloured I have fussy cut out the image and then mounted this on to my card using foam squares.

The sentiment is from a set by Woodware and I've simply stamped in black ink onto a strip of white card.

The finishing touches are some white Nuvo drops around the hanging starts and I have used a metallic sparkle pen to highlight some of the details in the image.

I'm really pleased with my project today, I love the black and white background and the moon and lamb seem to glow in the sky.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

Teds the bear with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week.

Its our Wedding Anniversary today so were off out for the day...a little shopping and a lovely lunch at a favourite restaurant on the coast to celebrate 20 years ! Where has the time gone....x

Today also marks the start of a new Challenge for March over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge as long as you use a digital or stamped image in your project,  so why not join in the challenge - Winners of the challenge will receive 2 digital stamps of your choice from Pattie's shop.

Pattie has some wonderful digital stamps in her Etsy Shop pattiescreations and there is also a freebie every month on the blog that you can use in your project if you want to!

For my March project, I decided to use the new Teds the Bear  digital stamp.

Springtime in the UK was always a lovely time with the spring flowers and showers of rain but here in Spain, we have the beautiful flowers all year but very little rain so today my card is to wish that we have some lovely Spring showers to prepare the garden for the hot Summer that is to follow very soon.

I resized the image in my graphics software to suit a 6" x 6" card before printing out on alcohol friendly card stock and colouring with my Promarkers (see below for the colours).

I created a simple rainy backdrop for Teds, by first stamping my sentiment in blue ink and the I have used a stencil and distress ink to create the rain drops. I  added a layer of clear stencil paste over the stencil to make the rain drops sparkle.

Once this was completely dry I have adhered the panel to my base card with a layer of craft foam and then adhered Teds to the card with some low profile foam.

Just some simple clear sparkly confetti around the design to finish off the card.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.
