Bunny Happy Returns - Bunny Birthday Photo Strip - Accordion Gate Fold with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Friday and a great weekend ahead......We're off walking tomorrow with our local walking group - we set off in the coach at 6:30am so its an early night tonight and I'm definitely not looking forward to such an early start but hopefully it will be a fun day ahead....I'll let you know how we get on as its our first proper walk after the Summer so I'm sure well have achy legs on Sunday LOL

I thought we'd have a change from Halloween cards to I'm back today with a sweet little Bunny card using the Bunny Birthday Photo Strip by Lili of the Valley (LOTV)  available in the Etsy shop

Its a new card fold for me too and I'm really pleased how its worked out. The fold is called an Accordion Gate Fold and I watched a tutorial by Lisa's Stamp Studio but there are loads of tutorials out there and its a really easy card to construct.

This is the video on YouTube that I followed for the measurements etc. The finished card when folded fits neatly into a C6 size envelope.

For my card today  I have used some fun purple and magenta card to create the card base and then used  an old paper pad from my stash to layer onto the panels.

Its such a pretty paper pad from years ago (2014) called Bonnets & Bowties but was perfect for the colours and the card theme. I used the paper pad to help me choose the colours for the little bunny panels, colouring with promarkers before cutting out.

Finishing touches were some clear sparkle, purple confetti and white gelly roll pen highlights around the card.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share for Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

New Release - Halloween card - Pumpkin Boy - Creepy Creatures collection with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Sunday... yes I'm back! 2 days in a row Shock Horror  LOL

It's another sunny hot Autumn day here today at 30C again, wonderful I know and I'm definitely not complaining given the weather in the UK at the moment, but I would really like it a little cooler now - good for drying the washing.

There is a brand new release from Polkadoodles and its just perfect for all those Halloween projects.  Creepy Creatures collection is a fantastic collection of 3 bundles.  Cute & Creepy, Witches & Broomsticks and Creepy Things,

Inside the collection you’ll find everything from pumpkins, ghosts, skeletons, mummies, bats, monsters and creepy dolls, to witches, broomsticks, cauldrons, spell books, black cats and potion bottles. Perfect for trick or treat cards, party invites, scrapbook layouts, junk journal spreads, stickers, planner pages and DIY stationery.

Each design comes as both pre-coloured images for quick makes and black & white digital stamps for colouring at home. Every bundle also includes free SVG outlines, making them ideal for Cricut, Silhouette Cameo and Brother ScanNCut.

For my first card I chose to use the Cute and Creepy Bundle, this is Pumpkin Boy and I've used the pre-coloured version for this card although he is available for you to colour too!

It's a larger A7 or 5" x 7" card so I resized the character to suite my design and then printed him out a couple of times so I can do a little fussy cutting and decoupaging for dimension.

I chose one of the spooky papers from the collection, Loving the orange and teal so I used this as my colour pallet for the die cut frame and banners and also blended distress ink around the edge of the paper to add darker tones.

I added splatters of white and black gesso to the paper and also distress mica spray so in real life the card has a spook shine to it.

To finish off the design I added white gelly roll pen highlights around the the card.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - Hocus Pocus collection - Halloween Pumpkins - Happy Halloween card - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you are having a good week....We're currently away on holiday in Mallorca (last day today) so I hope my blog has posted ok....fingers crossed.

It's strange to be thinking about Halloween whilst we are enjoying the sea and sun on an absolutely gorgeous little Spanish island.... it's so easy and quick for us to get here too - this time we flew from Granada airport which is so much nicer and smaller than Malaga.

It'll be our town Feria soon too so lots of fun to come !

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is Halloween Pumpkins......loved carving a pumpkin when we lived in the UK to put outside the front door but its not really a big celebration here and the children only really Trick or Trick within the little town itself.... thankfully so we don't have to buy loads of sweets !

I reached for the Hocus Pocus collection again (one of my favourite spooky sets I think) and selected the different scary pumpkins from a couple of the sets in the collection.

On my computer I resized them to suite a landscape DL card and merged together to create a row of scary pumpkins before printing them out and colouring with my promarkers.  For the eyes and mouths I've used a couple of fluorescent gel pens to give the look of scary glowing faces - it would be great with glow in the dark pens .....hmm I must have a look for some.

I also printed out one of the wonderful sentiments from the Ghastly Ghosts set onto a DL panel.  Next I used 5 distress inks to create my spooky Halloween background and finally foiled the sentiment in gold.

The row of pumpkins was added to my card and I've finished it off with a white gel pen and some black gems.

It's the perfect collection of 3 sets of digital stamps, sentiments and ephemera and comes in black and white images for you to colour but also in pre-coloured format...there's Autumn Fall Halloween Treat, Ghastly Ghosts and Hocus Pocus Witches.

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Butterflies - On Your Special Day with Pattie's Creations

Happy Friday everyone I hope that you are all well and have had a lovely week.

The first Friday of the month marks the start of a new Challenge for December over on the Pattie's Creations Design Challenge blog

The challenge runs from the first Friday of the month and its an Anything Goes challenge or our theme for April is Butterflies or Dragonflies, so as you use a digital or stamped image in your project, why not join in the challenge.

Winners of the challenge will receive 2 digital stamps of your choice from Pattie's shop.

Pattie has some wonderful digital stamps in her Etsy Shop pattiescreations and there is also a freebie every month on the blog that you can use in your project if you want to!

For my April  project, I chose  to use the beautiful  Butterfly 1
digital stamp to create a simple but arty DL card.  For the past couple of weeks as the weather has been improving ( it was 31C yesterday !), there have been loads of beautiful Swallowtail butterflies in the garden and I decided to  use these as my inspiration for the card and colouring today.

I resized the image 3 times to suit a DL card panel, printed it out onto alcohol marker friendly card stock before colouring with Promarkers and then fussy cutting out.  I chose to use slightly different sizes of butterflies on y card and reversed one of them for some added interest.  Whilst not anatomically correct I think these butterflies are a pretty good likeness to the ones in the garden. Next I created my background, using a peice of watercolour card.  I started by using a brush and water to add a wide, wavy strip of water down the centre of the panel of card.

Then I carefully sprinkled 4 different Brushos over the watery strip - you don't need very much of these magical powders at all for a stunning peice of card.  Once I was happy with the amount of pigment I gently spritzed a little more water onto the card to make sure all the powder had been activated and then used my heat gun to dry the panel.                                                                                                                                                         Once completely dry I splattered white ink over the coloured are for little highlights.  Next I matted this coloured panel onto my DL card blank with a piece of black card and then adhered the butterflies onto the card with foam tape for dimension.  The sentiment strip was adhered flat to the card with a small white border top and bottom.

To finish off the card I added a few dark iridescent gems around the design and added clear sparkly to the butterflies.

I do hope that you like my card for today and don't forget to join in with this months challenge over on the blog.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - Let's Go for a Picnic with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday.  Wishing you all a lovely day today and that you enjoy the week ahead, I hope that you have something nice planned.

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is Food/BBQ/Picnic and to use this colour palette

So I chose to use a pre-coloured digital image from the Winnie Special Moments collection called Let's Go for a Picnic

I know lots of crafters who don't like to colour digital or stamped images, for lots of different reasons and I wanted to show that you can make some really beautiful cards with the pre-coloured digital images and a little fussy cutting and layering.

I chose some extra butterflies, trees and grass and printed these out onto some lighter weight card stock (250GSM) along with the pre-coloured digital image.

I started by creating my base card for today which is an M- fold card, I have used a 6 x 6" card blank and an extra piece of card that measures 5 1/4" x 9 1/2".

The base card blank was completely covered with a piece of pretty gingham paper and then I have scored the additional card along the long side at 2" and 4" , folding these concertina style.

I added the digital sentiment and two butterflies from the embellishment bundle before printing out the green digital paper and then adhering this to the larger panel of the scored card.

Next I have adhered this scored card to the main 6"x 6" card centrally so the gingham is visible.

I added additional blue paper to the bottom of the lower fold and then adhered all my fussy cut out images to create this sweet little scene.

To finish off the card I added just a few pieces of co-ordinating confetti and some cosmic shimmer sparkle to the water around the stepping stones.

When me and JJ go walking in the mountains, I can guarantee that he always has to help me cross over little streams and rocks just like Winne and Rocco

I have a very special DT discount code that you can use for all your shopping on the Polkadoodles online shop at checkout use WENDYJ-10 and you will get 10% of your entire purchase (not in conjunction with other discount codes!)

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Polkadoodles.

You Are a Star - Birthday Bunnies with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a happy Friday... I hope that your week has gone ok....nearly the Weekend !  Were more or less back to normal now after our trip away and the holiday washing is finally all dried and put away.

The rain this week has been wonderful and the garden it looking so refreshed - hopefully we'll have a little more but I'm not greedy.

Today I am sharing a card that I have made for for Pink Gem Designs using the very cute Bunnies digital stamp set

This fabulous set includes 7 black Line art images and 2 sentiments for you to use.

I decided for todays card to create a stencilled background using a beautiful starburst stencil from Clearly besotted. It comes in two parts, the starburst rays and the star so its a really versatile stencil to use.

I used 2 distress inks to create the starburst
effect and then used a stitched rectangle die to cut out the panel before mounting this onto an A2 (US Size) card blank.

Before adding my bunny to the card I stamped the sentiment towards the bottom right of the card and then positioned the bunny on low profile foam tape over the central star.

I added a little clear sparkle to the bunnies wings and then just a few pieces of gold confetti were scattered around the design for extra bling.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Card recipe:
Pink Gem Designs digital stamp - Hoppy Birthday Bunnies
Clearly Besotted Stencil - Shooting Star
Mama Elephant sentiment stamp - Shall we dance
Distress ink - squeezed lemonade, spiced marmalade

Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen - clear
Sakura Gelly Roll pens - white, black, gold

Promarkers used :

Bunny:               warm grey 4, 3, 2, 1
                         cocktail pink, pale pink

Dress:                soft green, mint green, tea green

I Love Promarkers Blog - #534 Magical

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday! I hope that you are having a lovely week. Aren't the months flying by so quickly - I cant believe we are in May already

I'm on my blog today for the new bi-weekly I Love Promarkers blog challenge , it would be wonderful if you joined us over there if you love to colour with  alcohol markers and don't forget there are prizes up for grabs.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Ching-Chou Kuik.

There are so many beautiful dreamy and magical images in her Etsy Store to play with so it was really difficult to choose for today.

Here is my inspiration card for the current blog challenge with the theme of  Magical, using a fun image called Drifting Soul

What's more magical than this beautiful garden girl - I think she looks like a Fairy with her magical Dragon fly.

The word for a Dragonfly in Spanish is Libรฉlula and its one of my favourite Spanish words it even sounds beautiful.....We are so lucky to see these beautiful creatures flying over our pool in the garden - they definitely seem magical

I chose to use lots of green for my beautiful girl  and coloured her with my promarkers (see below for colours ) before cutting her out.

Todays card is a 6" x 6" and I chose a beautiful leafy paper from Craft Consortium as my base layer, adding some die cut stitching details to the sides of this piece.

I die cut a panel of printed vellum from my stash using some new stitched dies that I've just received from Craft stash UK and then used one of my favourite embossing folders from Lisa Horton Crafts to add leaves. To highlight the leaves a little more I added a little green distress ink on the debossed side of the vellum.

I wanted to create some leaves with texture so I used a piece of green handmade mulberry paper from my stash and die cut this with a variegated leaf die before running it through the coordinating embossing folder - this creates a beautiful texture

The sentiment is a stamp from a set by Lili of the Valley that I've simply stamped with brown Versafine Clair ink and added a touch of green distress ink to tie this into my design.

The finishing touches are some sparkly gems around the design and clear sparkle to the dragonfly wings

I really hope that you have enjoyed my magical card for today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

Today I am sharing a card that I have made for for Pink Gem Designs using the beautiful Freesias digital stamp set .

I've used my favourite colours for my Freesias but this time I have used one of the digital papers from Pink Gem Designs to create my background.

The  simple digital sentiment is from the Polkadoodles Winnie Daisy Fairy Greeting bundle to my panel before printing out on alcohol marker friendly card stock.
I've added my card to a larger 5" x 7" card blank, matting this with black cardstock.

It's a Happy Whatever Kinda Day with Pink Gem Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a happy Friday... I hope that your week is going ok.  We had a lovely lunch out on Wednesday with friends at a Chinese restaurant on the coast - its been more than 15 years since we last had one and I had forgotten how much I love Chinese food!  We'll definitely be going back.

Today I am sharing a card that I have made for for Pink Gem Designs using a digital stamp from the Freesias digital stamp set .

I absolutely love freesias, their perfume is beautiful and ours in the garden here are in currently in bloom so when I saw this new set of digital stamps I knew I had to make a card with it.

Its a fabulous set and includes 23 black Line art images but for today I have chose to use the flowers in a glass vase, for a single layer card.

My favourite colours of Freesias are yellow and magenta as I love the contrast of these two colours and I have have used my promarkers to colour these today adding distress ink on the panel for extra details.

I added a digital sentiment from the Polkadoodles Winnie Daisy Fairy Greeting bundle to my panel before printing out on alcohol marker friendly paper.

I had lots of fun colouring the water in the vase on this image and I'm really pleased with the effect

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
