New Release - Peeping Animals - Peeping Cat & Peeping Dog - with Lili of the Valley LOTV

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Friday - I hope that you have had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend ahead.  Another busy week here and lunch out with friends yesterday to a lovely Sushi restaurant on the coast - ate far too much but that seems to be the norm LOL.

We are at the hospital tomorrow to see a consultant about JJs cough which he's had since November and then were taking some friends to Granada on Saturday for lunch at a wonderful vegetarian restaurant we like.

The weather has been very mixed again with cloudy days and spots of rain but I'm not going to complain as it will be too hot soon.

I'm back today with two cuties using the new Peeping Animals collection by Lili of the Valley (LOTV)available now from the Etsy shopThere are 6 peeping animals to choose from and they are so easy to colour you'll love them.

Whichever animal you choose I'm sure you will find them very easy to colour and personalise as you like.

Each animal stamp includes some coordinating sentiments

Both cards today  are very simple, combining patterned papers from my stash on each.

For the Peeping Cat I have cut around the kitties paw and then adhered the entire panel with foam tape onto the card with a layer of pretty floral paper.  The Kitty has been coloured in grey with a blue wash as it will be a friends birthday card and they have two absolutely gorgeous Russian Blue cats.

For the Peeping Dog I cut the right side off the panel and added the patterned paper to the inside of the card.

Both are really quick to create and I'm sure both will be loved by their recipients.

Finishing touches were some little clay hearts for the cat and stamped hearts for the dog, white gel pen highlights and glossy accents to the dog's nose and cats eyes.

I hope that you like my cards today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Roofas - March Freebie Digital Stamp - with Julia McNeil Designs

Hello everyone Happy Friday! I hope that you've had a great week and the weather has been kind where you are.... We've had loads of lovely rain for the last couple of weeks but hopefully we're getting a few days to dry up a little bit over the weekend.

Today I'm back to share a card for JMC Designs  that I've made using the March freebie digital stamp - this is Roofas .... he is a cute scruffy dog who looks like he might be very naughty !

Every month Julia McNeill very generously gives away a fabulous digital stamp, which is available to everyone in her Facebook group JMC's Crazy Crafty Hive and also to her followers via Instagram, all you need is to use your email address to register for the stamp.

Here is the link to register and download this months digital stamp.

If you have missed any of the previous freebies then Julia has kindly put together a list of them all with the links for each so you can download them and don't forget to share your projects in the group as we would love to see them.  Here is the full list of the freebies

To create my more simpler masculine card for today today I've used some blue striped paper and navy card to give a cleaner simpler look.

I coloured Roofas with my Promarkers and finished off with Polychromos for added furry texture.  The doggy sentiment was added to the bottom of the panel along with some extra paw prints before printing out and adding to the card base.

The finishing touches were some simple white highlights around the image.

I do hope that you like my card for today and I'd love it if you'd leave me a comment.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog - Guest Designer - CAS - Colorado Craft Company - Stay Curious!

Hello everyone happy Thursday ... I hope that your week has gone well so far...not long to go now until the weekend.

I'm back again to share my third card as Guest Chick for the month of September for the Krafty Chicks.

Every Thursday there is a new challenge on the Krafty Chicks blog and this week the challenge is CAS or Clean and Simple.

You can check out all the rules over on the blog itself and it would be wonderful if you join in with the fun.

I really love the CAS style of card but I definitely find it a challenge - knowing when to stop adding things so here is my CAS card project and I hope that you like it!

My card today is a standard white landscape A6 card blank with a simple mat layer of a white card for the design panel.

The image of the cute little dog investigating the plant pot is drawn by Anita Jeram for Colorado Craft Company and its such a sweet image and perfect for a CAS card.

I stamped the image using a brown Versafine Clair ink to give a softer look to the image and then used distress inks to watercolour the image.  To add extra depth and details I've used a combination of coloured pencils and a white gelly roll pen.

The sentiment is also part of this little stamp set and also stamped this is brown ink....and that's it, no sparkle and no extras, definitely CAS.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card for today and will drop by again to see my next project.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

A Passion for Markers BlogSpot #751 - Spots / Stripes - Sponsored by Beccy's Place

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day !

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Spots / Stripes' has been chosen by Elaine for team 2 and is being sponsored by Beccy's Place

For my card today I chose to use a fun digital image of a scruffy pup from the Ruff Day collection of stamps - this is Scaramanda however I'm calling her River - she is the spitting image of the puppy that we rescued a few months back from the river here in our village.  River now lives with our friends and is a very lucky girl and not so small now either.

This is a simple portrait card A7 or 5" x 7" card. The image was  resized to suit the card and printed out along with one of the digital sentiments from the collection onto alcohol friendly card stock.

coloured the puppy with my Promarkers, using a photo of River as a reference.  The image was then mat and layered onto burgundy card with a layer of spotty and striped paper to tie in with the challenge theme.

Once finished I used pencils and a white gelly roll pen to add some highlights and a few rhinestones dotted around the design.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #724 - Friends / Friendship

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely day !

Today I'm here to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog challenge and I hope that you will join in.

This weeks challenge theme of 'Friends / Friendship' has been chosen by me for team 2 and being sponsored by LeAnne's World 101

I chose to use a sweet digital image called 'Friendly Walk' and these friends look like they are having a lovely time catching up on the latest news.

This is an A6 (UK size) landscape scene card.

The image was
resized to suit the card and then coloured with my Promarkers.
The digital sentiment was also printed out onto card and cut out into a simple banner.

To create my scene I chose a piece of paper that resembles sky and adhered this to my card blank.

The image once coloured, was fussy cut out but I have left the bottom section whole, cutting to resemble a hill and then used distress inks to carefully add green around the image.  The flicks of grass were adding using my Promarkers to help to ground the image.

To finish off my card I adhered some small clay hearts from my stash and added the sentiment into the top corner, mounted with foam tape for dimension.

I hope that you join in with the challenge as there is a prize from the sponsor for our lucky winner!

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday!

I'm on my blog today for the new bi-weekly I Love Promarkers blog challenge , it would be wonderful if you joined us over there if you love to colour with alcohol markers and don't forget there are prizes up for grabs.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Sheepski Designs

Here is my inspiration card for the current blog challenge with the theme - Down on the Farm, using the super cute In the Dog House digital stamp.

I think this pup is more interested in taking a nap than looking after those naughty and rather menacing looking sheep, they look like they are plotting an escape!

Todays card is a 5" x 7" landscape card and for my background I have used a digital print from my digital
software Craft Artist as it was just perfect for my scene.  I added little flicks of grass around the sheep using a green Fineliner pen

The image was coloured using Promarkers (see below for colours) and then fussy cut out and mounted using foam tape for dimension.    The sheep were fussy cut from a piece of paper from my stash that I have had for ages - it came from a craft magazine.
The sentiment has been foiled using a transparent foil which gives a glossy look.

I hope he wakes up before the sheep escape!

I really hope that you like my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

I love Promarkers #549 For the Men Sponsored by Dr Digi's House of Stamps

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday! I hope that you are having a lovely week, not long now until Christmas

I'm on my blog today for the new bi-weekly I Love Promarkers blog challenge , it would be wonderful if you joined us over there if you love to colour with alcohol markers and don't forget there are prizes up for grabs.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This challenge is being sponsored by Dr. Digi's House of Stamps

Here is my inspiration card for the current blog challenge with the theme - For the Men, using the super cute Patient Pets digital stamp.  I cant decide if they want to go out and play in the snow or stay all warm and cozy inside - I  know what our kitties would choose!

It's a larger 5 " x 7"  scene card created using papers from my stash for the wallpaper and the flooring of the room.

The image was coloured using Promarkers and then fussy cut out.  To create my window I've used a small piece of white card, blending distress inks to create a snowy sky and snow hills and then I've freehand drawn in some fir trees onto the hills.  To create the snow I've splattered the panel with white ink.

For the window I cut a small piece of acetate, adding snow with a posca pen and then assembled this onto the card.

The sentiment has been cut out and adhered to the top of the card to look like a piece of hanging wall art, with brass drops for the fittings.

I blended a little brown distress ink over the background for extra detail and added some copper sequins to tie the design together.

I really hope that you like my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

I tried to be good with Last Minute Manda and #byshcsketchchallenge37

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Thursday!....Just a quick post from me this morning as I have some weeding to get on with in the garden and its far too noisy inside the house as the builders are getting on with installing a new insulated and suspended ceiling in the craft room/study - awful and dusty but it will be worth it I know once it's completed.

Today I'm sharing another cute Christmas card that I've made for Last Minute Manda  using the Bah Humbug set of digital stamps.

I've again used the September Sketch 37 in the @byshcardmakers (Build Your Stash Holiday Card makers) Facebook Group. These sketches make it really easy to put together quick and beautiful cards which is important for all those Christmas cards.

I've turned the sketch through 90 degrees this time to make a portrait card following the sketch and I've used papers from my hoard of Christmas papers.  They were freebies with a craft magazine many years ago and I found them whilst packing up my craft room for all the work we are having done.  It's amazing what you can find!

Just a little co-ordinating sequins to add some sparkle to the design.

If you head over to the new Last Minute Manda store font forget to use my special discount code Wendy25 to get 25% off your shopping.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
