A Passion for Markers Blog Spot Challenge #841 - Favourite Colour combination - Hope your day is buzzing with Joy - Sponsored by Clearly Besotted

Hello and a happy Tuesday to you all I hope that you are having a lovely week !

The weather has been wonderful so far, lovely and hot during the day but not too hot at night - so far LOL.

We are busy preparing the house for my cousin and her husband arriving on Thursday and Im really looking forward to seeing her again - we have loads to catch up on.

We have lots of days planned, lots of meals and drinking and obviously chilling by the pool too.  Im hoping to persuade her to come to Yoga with me too on Friday.

I'm here today to let you know that a new challenge has started over on the Passion for Markers Blog.

This weeks challenge is sponsored by Clearly Besotted Stamps and the theme this week is Favourite colour combination. - I find this really difficult as I have lots of colour combinations that I love and it all depends on how I feel at them time but for today as the bees are busy in the garden I chose to Pink, Green and lemon for my card today.

It's a simple circular card made using one of the gorgeous images from the Buzzy Bee collection by Polkadoodles.  This is Buzzy Talk, coloured with my promarkers.

The circular card was die cut from yellow card stock and I used a layer of paper from the collection as my base layer.

To finish off my fun Buzzy Bee card I added sequins around the design, lots of sparkle and lots of glossy accents to the little bees.

I really hope that you have enjoyed my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the Passion for Markers blog

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

Digi Choosday - Hope your Day is Buzzing - With Wraparound - Twist & Pop Card - Honey Bee Dreams - with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday... I hope that you're having a great week so far......I cant quite believe it's the end of May already...its definitely true when they say that time flies!

It's that time of the week to share some more inspiration for our current 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing Digi Choosday discount off all crafty printable downloads!

Don't Forget that our challenges our now 4 weekly so there's loads of time for you to join in and more chances to win too!

The theme set for the DT this week is to make a project with a wraparound.

I decided I would make a new card style - well new to me at least....LOL  This interactive card has been around for ages but I've never made one before so I thought I would give it a go.  It's an A6 sized Twist and Pop Card and I was surprised how well it came together.  I have learnt a few things as well whilst making it so have a few tips to make it.

I chose to use the Honey Bee Dreams and Busy Bee Gnomes collections for my card today using papers, a sentiment and ephemera to all coordinate.

The actual card itself was constructed using a yellow card and is made from 3 main pieces.

One thing I will do next time I make this style is convert it into inches as my scoreboard is imperial and it was tricky to get the score lines in the right places.

The card base measured 10cm x 30cm scored at 15cm.

The inner panel measured 9cm x 26cm scored at 6.5, 13 and 19.5cm

The mechanism measured 9cm x 20cm.  On the 9cm side scored at 4.5cm t create a centre fold. Then on the long edge mark each end at 5.5cm.

Score a cross diagonally between these marks then fold and burnish the folds.

If you want some better instructions and to see how the card is assembled I would suggest watching this video on YouTube

I used some pretty floral papers and a sentiment from the Buzzy Bee Gnomes collection and the ephemera on the panels inside are from the Honey Bee Dreams collection

Next time I make this card I will also avoid the edging trim on the panels of the card as this catches slightly on the mechanism as the card is closed but it's good to learn !

I hope that you like my project today and you'll enjoy the next that I share from Polkadoodles.

Hasta luego ๐Ÿ‘‹

Enjoy the rest of your day !

With Love - Hi Honey - A5 Stamp Set - New Release with Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone wishing you all a lovely Sunday....I hope the weekend has been fun.

I'm here today with another cute card for Lili of the Valley (LOTV) using stamps  from the new A5 Polymer stamp sets Hi Honey available in the Etsy shop

My absolute favourite childhood bear was of course Winnie the Pooh so I decided to create a card based around Pooh and his absolute love of honey and of course those important little bees.

I stamped several images from the set along with some pots of honey and coloured these with Promarkers to resemble Pooh bear fussy cutting them out.

I chose a patterned paper from the Craft Consortium collection Cottage Garden for the background and then from a panel of yellow card die cut hexagonal apertures before adhering these to an A7 or 5" x 7" card base....I wanted it to look like the bees were busy the the hive making their honey.

Next I die cut the letters for Hi Honey and adhered these to the card using foam tape.

Finally the little bears and the bee were added around the honeycomb.

The sweet little With Love sentiment is from the Flower Pockets set of polymer stamps

Finishing touches were some gold confetti around the design, clear sparkle to th bees wings and glossy accents to the bears nose.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from Lili of the Valley (LOTV)

Hello everyone and happy Wednesday I hope that your having a good week so far.

Are you looking forward to Autumn ? I love all the seasons but the Autumn colours are my favourite and I adore the poppies that we get here although they tend to be in Spring.

It's that time of the week when we launch a brand new 'Anything Goes' challenge over on the Polkadoodles Digi Choosday Blog so I hope you are going to join in and don't forget the amazing discount off all crafty printable downloads until midnight today!

The theme set for the DT this week is to create a Friendship themed card so I decided to create a one layer
card using the fabulous and very cute Freddy Fox release..... I just love all the warm tones of Autumn so this is one of my favourite collections.

It's a very simple A6 card with the design panel mounted onto a layer of red card.  To create the image I started by adding the fox and poppy image to a panel in my graphics software (I've also flipped this through 90 for a different look and then added 3 little bees and the cute little duck to create my scene.  Finally I chose a friendship themed sentiment from the collection before printing on alcohol marker friendly cardstock and colouring with promarkers.

Just a few touches of clear sparkle were added to the little bees and I used yellow glossy drops to add details to the poppy stamens.

I hope that you like my card today and you'll enjoy the next cards I share from the new Freddy the Fox Collection by
 Polkadoodles.

I Love Promarkers #562 - Use pink, blue & yellow - Sponsored by Colour of Love

Hello everyone wishing you a wonderful Wednesday!

I'm on my blog today for the new bi-weekly I Love Promarkers blog challenge , it would be wonderful if you joined us over there if you love to colour with alcohol markers and don't forget there are prizes up for grabs.

You can find all of the rules and details for the challenge over on the blog.

This fortnight long challenge is being sponsored by Colour of Love

Here is my inspiration card for the current blog challenge with the theme - Use pink, blue & yellow, so the primary colours, using this very sweet digital stamp of this sleepy little bee in the flower.  This is Sleepy time Buzlee

Its such a sweet card and perfect for the chosen colour palette.  This is an A7 or 5" x 7" card and I started by resizing the digital image and adding a sentiment to the bottom of the panel before printing out and colouring with
promarkers (see below for colours).

Next I used some distress ink and a cloud stencil to create a simple background.

I used a scalloped die to cut a frame from pink card stock and then assembled my card, matting the design panel on a panel of sky blue card.

To add dimension I used foam square to adhere the scalloped frame.

The finishing touches were white, gelly roll pen highlights, clear sparkle to the little bee's wings and some clear iridescent sequins around the design.

I really hope that you like my card today and will drop by again to see my next project and don't forget to join in with the challenge over on the I Love Markers blog

Bee the Sunshine in Someones Day - Bumble Buzz Collection with Julia McNeill Designs

Hello everyone wishing you all a wonderful Monday, I hope that you had a lovely weekend.

I'm here today to share another project for JMC Designs using the gorgeous new Bumble Buzz Digital Collection, which is now available to purchase in the online store.

This huge digital collection contains: 15 Digital Stamps, 15 Pre Coloured Digital Stamps, 6 Ephemera Sheets, 5 Topper Sheets, 4 Sentiment Sheets and 23 papers and I'm sure you will be blown away by these sweet littles bees.

For my card today I've used the Bumble Buzz Digital collection again, I love working with digital collections as its so easy and extremely versatile and I can resize anything in the collection to suite my project.

This is an A6 ( UK Size ) card, I started by adding one of the gorgeous pre-coloured digital stamps to one of the toppers from the collection and then printing this out twice.

I added one of these layers to my card blank, with a layer of black card leaving a narrow black margin all around the design.

Next I fussy cut out the sweet little bee house and some of the flowers at the bottom and added these to the card using foam squares to give dimension.

I resized the very cute Flower for You bee digital to suit the card and coloured with my Promarkers, before fussy cutting out.

I added clear sparkle to the bees wings, a white gel pen to add highlights and glossy accents to the bees antenna.

This little bee is taking one of the pretty flowers home I think to decorate and add some beautiful fragrance, also for a midnight snack maybe !

The sentiment from the digital collection was printed out and foiled in not pink to coordinate with the card and added to the design.

The finishing touches were a few pieces of rose pink confetti around the design.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

For my card today I've used the Bumble Buzz Digital collection again, I love working with digital collections as its so easy and extremely versatile and I can resize anything in the collection to suite my project.

This is a larger 5 x 7 card which has had a piece of the pink and black striped paper adhered to the card blank leaving a narrow white margin all around.

This is the very cute Sleepy Bee digital, which I have resized to suit the card and coloured with my Promarkers, before fussy cutting out.

The background for my little scene is one of the toppers from the digital collection which I have resized and printed out twice, the base layer being adhered to my card blank with a layer of black card as a mat layer - I love the contrast this gives to the design.

The second topper has been fussy cut out, cutting the flowers around the edge so I could nestle my little bee in amongst the flowers.

I added clear sparkle to the bees wings, a white gel pen to add highlights and glossy accents to the bees antenna.  This little bee is so tired after collecting all the pollen so he's having a nap safe in amongst the flowers.

The sentiment from the digital collection was printed out and foiled in gold to coordinate with the card and added to the design, again matting on a piece of black card.

My sleepy bee was then adhered onto the design with foam tape for extra dimension and I have added the flowers around him.

The finishing touches were a few pieces of rose pink confetti around the design.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

For my card today I've used the Bumble Buzz Digital collection, to create a super sparkly card with apertures filled with lots of lovely honey.

Where would we be without our wonderful bees, they are definitely something to be treasured and taken care of.

Don't forget to plant lots of bee friendly plants in your garden!

This is the very cute Picasso Bee digital stamp, which was resized to suit an A6 (UK size) card and coloured with my Promarkers, before fussy cutting out.

I added clear sparkle to my little bees wings and used a white gel pen to add highlights and i have added glossy accents to the honey.  This little bee is hard at work making sure the hive is filled with lovely honey.

The background for my card is one of the gorgeous papers from the collection, printed out and cut to size. I then used a hexagon die to cut out some of the honeycomb and then mounted this panel on a piece of lovely golden glitter card.

I added a few lemon coloured sequins into the apertures to look like pollen.

My sweet little bee was then adhered onto the design with foam tape for extra dimension.

The sentiment from the digital collection was printed out and foiled in gold to coordinate with the card and added to the design.

I really hope that you like my card today and it would be lovely if you you leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

More Busy Bees with Polkadoodles

Hello everyone.... wishing you all a wonderful Friday ๐Ÿฏ

So we all know how important the bees are and I had some embellies left over from my last Polkadoodles DT project that I didn't want to waste so I couldn't resist making another Buzzy Bee card and I hope that you like it.

To make my background panel for the card I created a homemade stencil, die cutting a honeycomb pattern using a small hexagonal die and then I've used a combination of distress inks to blend over the stencil.  The stitched lines are hand drawn using a fine liner pen.
 ๐Ÿฏ

The bees, flowers and the sentiment are all taken from the Winnie Fruit Punch Bundle which is a wonderful collection of black and white digital stamps, coloured images and loads of embellies - its one of my favourite collections.

I've then layered up the flowers and bees over their honeycomb and added glossy accents to the centre of the flowers.

Its a simple card but I'm so pleased with it !

I hope you liked my card for today and don't forget to join in with the 'Anything goes' challenge over at the DIGI CHOOSDAY BLOG!
